First and foremost, there is not much to do in Mt. Pleasant! Considering that, Pleasant Bowl is…read morepretty awesome and entertaining! This is an older bowling alley, nothing fancy, outdated computers (90s?). I kinda of enjoyed the outdated feel, it took me back to my childhood! It appeared as clean as can be expected of a bowling ally. They do have a smoking section in the pool area back in the back. From the lane we were on (7) I couldn't smell any smoke drifting into the non-smoking section (thankfully). They have a small bar (beer, shots, and a few mixed drinks) with great drink specials! They also offer snacks and drinks. If you come on certain nights they have bowling specials. Unfortunately, we did not come on one of these days! We played 3 games, the more games you play the cheaper it gets per person. 1 game is $5 per person. Shoes are $2. We didn't know the pricing was per person, so our bill for 3 games was way higher than we had originally calculated!! We will be back on a discount night from now on! Overall, if you need something fun to do while in Mt. Pleasant, this place will hit the spot!

WARNING: Unfriendly staff at Cosmic Bowling…read more I have to leave a one star review because of one old woman working there. She was rude, needlessly hostile, and enforcing an INSANE stipulation -- bear in mind, she is not the owner. As far as I understand, she had zero authority to do this. It truly seems like she was making this up and targeting me for some indiscernible reason. I went with my husband and his friends to watch them bowl, as a spectator. She came up to our table and demanded that I pay $10 to be there, even though I wasn't bowling myself. I've never seen this at any bowling alley and the friends we were with said they hadn't seen it either. Thankfully, we got this lunacy circumvented, but it put a damper on the night for me. What a way to make someone feel unwelcome. I even bought a drink out of their vending machine before this happened. I wasn't completely loitering. Unless this woman changes her tune or is fired, we're probably never coming back.

We chose a night out bowing before the kids went back to school from their winter break. The…read moreprocess was smooth, the server was friendly, the kiosk even had a cool feature to add a photo (kids loved this). The night was enjoyable with the exception of the obnoxious family next to us constantly getting in our ways and the parents not tending to their kids. Tried to ignore that and focus on the time spent with the family. I do wish the lanes had a little more room and also the staff paid a little more attention to the guests and ensure they are following rules and proper etiquette. But let's be honest, these are usually younger kids and confrontation can be intimidating so I do not fault them. Lanes were clean, never had trouble with the pins, no technical issues, and the server kept our drinks filled and the food was more than decent. Will be back!

The Schulman family theatre dba Film Alley has it going on. It looks like a vintage, older theatre…read morefrom the outside but is quite the opposite once indoors. My husband and I were extremely impressed when we walked inside. It's buzzing with business as there's so much to enjoy in one place. You can bowl, play at the arcade, dine in at their bar or catch a film. Do note that if you're there to watch a movie they have an automated kiosk before you walk to the attendant where you can purchase & print your tickets. If you purchase your tickets online then you can scan your QR code or manually enter the confirmation code & it will print your tickets out for you. How cool is that? AMC Theatres could never ! We came to watch Tron: Ares which had our attention from the moment it started. Definitively one of the best films we've seen this year...might even be number 2 in our top five lineup (after Sinners of course). Film Alley also happens to be a dine in theatre, so we took advantage. Our server Macela M was sweet and efficient. I ordered their $11 Mexican Street Dawg meal that came w/fries & then got a root beer to drink and a kids popcorn as it's not a movie night without it. Everything was delicious. My only critique is the bun to meat ratio was way off. I understand wanting to elevate the dish and make it more filling, but I wound up having to discard half the bun as it was too much bread. My husband had a Cheeseburger meal with fries and an Icee to drink. No complaints from his end. Overall this was a great experience for us. The theatre was clean, recliners were new and very comfortable & the bathrooms were also well maintained. My husband and I can't wait to come back.
