Very Displeased With This Mobile Grooming Service ... I have…read moreused this grooming business for a couple of years now. The groomers are pretty good groomers that for the most part I have been happy with and given several good reviews in the past, but their business ethics do not cater to good customer service. I have had no issues with this business for two years and all of a sudden they seem to think it's good customer service to change that customers appointment date just because they choose to do so? Beware: They make an appointments with you that's agreed upon four weeks ahead of time, text you that appointment day and time, and text you to remind you of that appointment time the day before, as they always do, only to have changed that time themselves from 10:00 am to 1:45 pm. That's four hours later than your appointment time agreed upon when you made the appointment. And not one person calls or texts you to ask you if you wouldn't mind changing that time. And when you ask why - they threaten to go up on the rate you have been paying to use their grooming services saying you have been paying much lower rates than what their rates are for your dog! Well, I just wonder why I was told that particular rate when I first began using their service two years ago and for those two years have been paying that same rate every four weeks. The groomer had not mentioned that rates had gone up. Hmmm I think I smell something kind of not right there when you call them out on their lousy customer service. So I go ahead and take the 1:45 appointment because I was in a situation where I had family coming in from out of town and my dog needed to be cleaned up before they arrived and I would not have been able to get an appointment for that day anywhere else because of no appointment. We just rearranged our schedule so I could get my dog groomed. Then ... Why would anyone think it's an okay thing for a dog to be groomed in this hot Texas 90 something degree summer weather heat in a grooming mobile unit that does not have a properly working AC?! If I would have been told that before the appointment for my dog I would certainly have canceled! Wasn't told that until my dog was brought back to me in my home panting like she had been running a marathon! Very dangerous possible heat stroke moment there for the animals you seem to claim you love Furry Land, yet only have a fan that barely cools when they are being dried with a high velocity dryer in that kind of heat!! OMG!! How can you possibly think that is a safe situation to put an animal in?! Not to mention your poor groomer which was very hot and flushed herself when she brought my dog in my home to me. How can you people think treating your customers and your employees that way is okay?!! Shame on you Furry Land Mobile Grooming!

It is true that we went longer between grooming this time and Charli was a little rough. When we took her in this morning we told them we wanted a winter cut. I called at 4:00 to check on her status And they said she's on Resa's table now and she's going to have to take her skirt down a "little" short because she because has some mats. They called 14 minutes later and said she was ready. We went to pick her up and she was a total whack job. Her beard looked like it had been cut with a dull knife, she had long tufts of hair on her body sticking out, around her tail is left long as well. It looked like they took the clippers and shaved her head to toe, but skipped a bunch, trimmed her nails and charged us $80 for simple haircut that was supposed to be a grooming, that couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes. We started home with her and just really started looking at how bad it was, so we turned around and went back to talk to Resa. I pointed out the unevenness of the cut and told her it was not an $80 haircut. She said, she's the hardest schnauzer we've ever brought her. She's been grooming her for 3 years and that's the first time that's ever been mentioned. Then she said I can fix that, and proceeded to cut her even shorter. I told her to stop making it shorter, again said this is NOT an $80 haircut, reiterated that we had requested a winter cut. All I got was she was hard. This experience was bad enough that we will not recommend her and we will not be going back.

I'm sure the groomer has had trouble grooming him because of his age, which is understandable. However, the last time I brought him, I thought everything was normal and it wasn't. I got the call, like usual, that he was ready to go. So, I drive up there, walk in and see him sitting there. Everything seemed normal, the groomer ran my card and I go to get my dog but he won't get up. She then finally says, "he's been like that since his bath". Now I don't blame them or think that they purposely hurt him, but what made me mad was that it was never mentioned to me till I tried to get him to walk with me. Why wouldn't they say something over the phone or even while I'm checking out? Makes me feel like they were trying to hide it. One lady ended up helping me carry my dog to the car, and I ran him to the vet. I think they just wanted him out cause I barely saw any concern for him from them. He's better now and it probably was just his old bones he was having trouble with but I feel like they were trying to deceive me by not saying anything. I won't bring him back there again, and I am so disappointed because I did like this place and have referred people to them. Anyhow, I've learned my lesson and will now ask if a groomer has experience with older dogs because this place does not seem to.
