Another fabulous lunch with the folks at the Ageless Senior Citizens (senior center) in Kimberly,…read moreIdaho. The salad bar was open an hour before lunch was served. And their salad bar is always fresh and clean with different things each time. This time there was some egg salad which was a delicious, sort of old-school change added to my salad. They have a variety of dressings and toppings, and an assortment of Chobani yogurt (donated by the fine folks of Chobani to all the senior centers in the Magic Valley). Drinks are included in the price of the meal ($6 for seniors, and $7.50 under 60): coffee, tea, water, milk, and orange juice. Today's meal was pot roast, baby carrots (and onions), roasted potatoes, dinner roll, Dutch apple pie, and banana cream pie. The pot roast was cooked well, fork-tender with burnt edges (good burnt), perfectly cooked roasted potatoes, and a soft multigrain roll. (I don't like cooked carrots, so I passed, but the lady I sat next to liked them really well. They give you so. much. food. I couldn't finish my meal! There was one piece of banana cream pie left, so I took as a sign that I should choose it over the Dutch apple pie. The banana cream pie was creamy and thick with fresh bananas and fresh whipped cream on top. The Dutch apple pie reminded me of something I've had in a school cafeteria; the lady next to me said it was very sweet. When I got there, they were having a fitness class and folks were walking in circles using bean bags for hand weights while listening to "Earth Angel" on the radio. This senior center is a great place for lunch - good people, clean place, and a healthy serving of lunch at a great price going to support this location for seniors.

Staff was friendly and patient. I hadn't been here in ages (don't remember what I ate the first…read moretime, it was that underwhelming). I had a niece visiting and we decided to come here as she was craving noodles. Not the greatest choice. We were (rightfully) very skeptical about the Korean items on the menu. We're Korean, we're always disappointed. This was no different. I ordered the Spicy Korean Steak. There is NOTHING Korean about that flavor. It's totally off, and overpowering. I can't pinpoint it, but it's just... no. Please, anyone eating "Korean" food from anywhere other than a Korean restaurant, please don't judge Korean flavor by what you get. This is absolutely no representation of Korean food at all. My niece and I both were very disappointed, I could barely eat it. I'm definitely glad I got a small plate. The menu noted a "2 flame" spice level. Yeah, it was barely a half flame for us. Niece ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles. There was barely any sauce, and it was basically the noodles and a mix of vegetables (carrots, broccoli, and mushrooms). Neither of us were big fans. The biggest complaints she had about it were the lack of sauce, and she also said "this is the unspiciest spicy food I've ever ordered". The menu notes a "one flame" spice level. Neither of us tasted any spice at all. I also ordered the chicken Alfredo bowl. It was decent, but again, not something I would see out. It barely had enough sauce, and the sauce was pretty thick, and on the bland side. In general, there's just a lack of good flavor, skimpy on the sauce, and no spiciness to their spicy meals.

My friends and I checked this place out for dinner after a long day adventuring. I was very…read moreimpressed with the fact that they offered both low carb noodle options, as well as zoodles. The cashier was lovely and helped me decide what to order. It was delicious, and I really wish we had options like this in SoCal! I guess Idaho is friendlier to low carb needs :D
