They don't stay in any track, so when you roll them up you have to move very very slowly and watch the top and shift to the right and left to keep it centered. We've already had to replace our shades once due to damage on the edges from opening them. we have to tell our guests to never open them because if you are not super careful, it's extremely easy to damage. Its embarrassing. Very poor quality, would not recommend. I bought similar shades from blinds.com and they work perfectly. You can open and close them fast or slow and they are never damaged. oh, and they are very expensive. Save your money and time. Don't go with 3-day blinds.

Basement remodel started July 2025. At some point one blind had become detached on one side, so we removed the entire blind by unscrewing the side that was still attached to the interior window. Since I needed to remove the other blinds in the basement for painting, I contacted customer service for a refresher on how to remove the blinds without detaching the hardware from the wall. The call taker (identifying herself as new) indicated that an installer would have to come remove the blinds - which I would then be charged for. I then told the woman about the one blind that had become detached which had caused some minor damage to that side of the blind. Since it was under warranty, I asked for them to address the matter. The woman filed a case report and stated that I would need to wait for a response. I later received an email stating that the warranty was now voided because I had removed the blind myself. I guess I should have just left the one side hanging - which likely would have caused even more damaged while waiting for a response. They offer warranties then find BS "clever" ways to not honor them. Don't waste your hard earned money on a company that won't care about you months later. The "warranty" is just wording they use to get your business. Find another company to work in your safe and precious home! 3 Day Blinds is only concerned about profit margins and not the least about customers. I'd done a lot of research into replacement windows -- what to ask when interviewing companies, what a quality installation looks like, which windows are the best quality. I'd been saving up for eight years for this because I wanted quality -- and it isn't always the name brands you know that are the best. I chose this company for these reasons: 1) Reputation. The company has been around since 1961 so they aren't going anywhere. 2) I researched the brand and type of window they install to verify quality and these were recommended by more than one person. 3) I asked about the install itself -- who measures, to what detail do they measure, type of caulk, how they insulate. And they never once treated me like "the clueless little woman." The rep respected that I did this due diligence and even gave me MORE information about their installation process, which I double checked, and yes, it is above and beyond. 4) The payment plan was simply unbeatable. 5) They gave me a DETAILED quote AND personal references. Other companies I spoke with did not. Communication was impeccable. It was a wait of a few months, but they kept in touch. Installation took only 3 days for 19 windows and 4 entry doors. These guys work FAST, without sacrificing attention to detail. When we had a mishap with one of my cats escaping the "safe space" they worked with me until I could corral him into another safe space. The crew chief, Chris Riley, is personable and managed the job well. The work site was left CLEAN. The full screens I asked for were installed later, and they're great. I had many windows that hadn't been opened for years because of being painted shut, nor had they been cleaned well. Now I can clean my own windows, the draftiness is gone and I am comfortable because that this company stands by its work. I am an anxious person. This was the biggest job I've ever had done where I didn't already know the person doing the work. They dealt with my anxiety beautifully and kindly. I have already recommended this company to others and will continue to do so.
