Worst haircut of my adult life from a young lady. It must have been her first customer since school. Not only is this not at all what I asked for, she kept on sheering and sheering over mistakes that my sides are almost bald. No fade or taper. The hair I do have is not the same length on one side or the other. I am so embarrassed, I have to wear a hat until it grows out. I asked her several times if I can show her a picture, she said "no I understand", obviously she didn't. AND it took an hour and a half off my life to get this horrible thing on my head. Strange, rude experience. First time here, came in for a trim. Seemed like they were in the middle of a promotional photoshoot, barber was working on a customer's hair while a guy with a tripod and an expensive camera took pictures. A couple of other people were sitting in chairs waiting and another hairdresser was standing near the back on her cellphone. No one said a word of welcome when I walked in. Stood by the front desk awkwardly for a second before I spoke up to say hello and ask if they were taking walk-ins. They looked at me like I was rudely interrupting them, no smiles, just a pair of mildly annoyed expressions bordering on eye-rolls. Male barber closer to me told the woman near the back what I asked. She said "uh... not really..." I was immediately turned off by the surprisingly cold reception and had already pretty much decided I was gonna leave but I waited a couple of awkward seconds before she added "not until like 5:30" (2.5 hours from then). Said "ok nevermind then" and left. Very bizarre. I felt like a dad asking his moody teenage son to take out the trash, not like a customer being welcomed into a business and helped. I want to thank Vic from the bottom of my heart for being able to cut my husband's, father in law's, brother's and brother in law's hair in support of my daughter. My daughter has acute lymphoblastic leukemia and her hair has started to fall out more lately and we knew any day it would all fall out. We asked Vic if it was possible for her to cut her dads hair so she could feel comfortable eventually having to cut her own and Vic had no problem doing that for us. Instead of saying that they don't specialize in that type of cut, they took my money and gave me a haircut I could have done myself. Used thinning shears on my hair which was not done properly (it looked like I was losing my hair). I got home and fixed it myself. If you're looking to get a clean buzz cut, they seem to be able to do it well from reading the reviews. Since I am very picky in choosing who cuts my hair, I read these yelp reviews with caution. Some are very reasonable and some attempt to announce bad experiences that I question. This because I literally just received one of he best haircuts i've gotten in a long time. Since the time I used to go a barbershop with this dude Vick, however, when I moved away, I no longer went to his shop because although the haircuts were the best, burning a half a tank of gas was heavy on the wallet. Well, out of this being a small world and straight coincidence, I walked into this shop and saw Vick. Crazy. He greeted me with a smile and hand shake just as all barbers should in a professional manner, and introduced me to Victor, a guy who was strictly business in really taking the time in figuring out how I wanted my haircut. This guy literally defined what all the barber terms meant in "low fades", "tapers", consulted me in hair types and hair product that would go well with my type of hair. In other words, Victor went above and beyond just to make sure I wasn't just getting a quality haircut but assuring that he was a credible barber who knew what the hell he was talking about. He even showed me examples on Instagram of how he would could cut my hair just to be sure I was satisfied. I recently moved back into the area and needed a cut so I gave Classic Barbers a shot. Decided to give these folks a try for the first time because they were the only Barber Shop I could find that was open on Labor Day. I'm not obsessed with my hair or how it looks. I like it cut short and done fast without all the extras like shave, shampoo, deep long conversations, etc. A barber shop is kinda a chore to me and there are other things I want to be doing or can be doing on my free time besides talking to a barber. They do excellent work like everyone else has already mentioned. They'll also add in some extras for free like a hot towel and a scalp massage. Considering my last barbershop experience was High Rollers Barber Shop in Ontario, ANYTHING could be better than that place in my opinion. Would highly suggest making an appointment. If they are low on barbers like they were today, you likely won't get in without one. As soon as you cross Euclid on Foothill headed eastbound, make that first right turn into the parking lot. It can be easy to miss if your not sure where the shop is for the first time. If you miss it like I did, just park in the largely empty McDonald's lot and take a nice 45 second Upland stroll down the sidewalk to the shop. More expensive than the other local shops.
