STAY AWAY!!!!! I bought the ultimate car wash. First thing I noticed was the car was not dry when I drove out. Second the rear wiper blade was up. When I stopped for gas I found the arm to wiper was bent and broke. It had a piece of brush stuck in the twisted arm of the wiper. When returning to the car wash the manager informed me that they have had problems with ford vehicles and offered to give me money from tip jar to pay for a new blade. When I asked for owners phone number he gave me a number that had been disconnected. To add insult to injury me car was still dirty! Well, first stop tomorrow dealership and first stop Monday small claims court! read more

Kind of a junky place, equipment is old and seems cheap. Car was soaking wet even after going through the blow dryers at the end. Better places than this exist at the same price point read more

I'm kinda bummed out because I live so close to this wash, but the job always ends up being very subpar. I went to this wash once last summer and my front was still completely covered in bugs. Today, I came back, giving them benefit of the doubt from last summer, but the same thing happened. Disappointing. Just go to USA2GO near M59 instead. August 2010 - Prior to going through the car wash, the male attendant (Rob) sprayed a greenish foamy chemical on my right side of the windshield. The female attendant on the left of the car sprayed a clear chemical on my windshield. I then went through the automatic wash system. Once I turned on to Grand River, I noticed a major problem with the windshield. When I reached my destination (Old Citizen's - less than 3 miles away), I cleaned the exterior glass on the windshield with Invisible Glass. The cleaner did nothing to clear the windshield. I immediately returned to Classic Auto Wash to show Rob the problem. He proceeded to use two different cleaners and even some electrical compound to remove the haze. His options didn't work either. I asked Rob to help me with the repair. First he told me he would talk to his "chemists". Then, when I requested the owner's contact information, he said, "his name is Rob too" but he would not give me the info. When I pressed the issue, he got into a telephone screaming match with me and after he hung up on me, he sent me a text pic of the sign that absolves them from damage. My windshield has been damaged for 9 months. Tomorrow I will replace the windshield. My 2003 Sebring is old BUT I have taken very good care of it since I bought it in 2004. I was just there, on a 14 degree day, in a car covered with ice and salt. I got the Deluxe (one step up from basic). I was greeted in a friendly manner, and was then extremely impressed with the amount of work they put into pre-scrubbing my car all over, esp. my filth-encrusted wheels, before sending me through. They spent several minutes making sure every area was going to get clean. Then the automatic wash did a thorough job. Best wash we've gotten all winter! Will be back! read more

I myself have not had the poor service the person before me speaks of... In fact, each time I've been to Classic Auto Wash, I've had excellent customer service. I don't know what his name is, but I will describe him as the man with the old English D tattoo on his left arm... Always friendly and works very hard in making sure my car is hosed down and scrubbed before sending me through the wash. Today he spent quite a bit of time getting sap off of my windshield, and it was greatly appreciated! Whoever you are, thank you for your kindness and hard work! It has not gone unnoticed! worst car wash ever. Paid for the 10.00 wash this morning, never got my air freshener and my cars was so dirty, I had to re wash the car. I will never go there again. What a joke.. Very bad . Spinning bush got caught on my passenger mirror and broke mirror on my 2010 vehicle. When the brush got caught, it jerked my car resulting in a damaged passenger door. Contacted owner (Rob) to report damage (he owns Lake Effects Auto Wash in Howell too). Said he would call me back. To date, I have not had any response from him regarding how to handle the damage. Therefore, I was forced to file a claim with my auto insurance that has a $100 deductible. All this over a $5 car wash! Major bummer... read more

Horrible service, they simply push you thru the line like it's a burden that cars are there interrupting their day. Went to throw something in the dumpster at the entrance and not only did the mud in front of the dumpster cover my shoes but the dumpster itself was COMPLETELY full of mud. Not one of the dumpsters that gets taken away and replaced but the kind that the trash man has to dump into the top of his truck... I'm not even sure that's legal. .anyway very unprofessional. read more
