For instance I saw a pair of boots for 30 pounds that were no better quality than what shoe zone sells for 15! There are no real names here just copies of designer shoes. Two Norf (sic) London girls came whilst I was here to look at this knock off Uggs. I think this store is overpriced for what it is. They try to dress it up with a nice sign but I think it is crap.

They are selling these hideous children's boots in neon shades that look like outer space crocs for 2 pounds. I was really impressed by the friendly service, and would recommend this place to anyone on an elastic budget.

I've wasted some serious cash and time in this process so I have learned my lesson. So right after his first haircut at Mata Mata we popped next door to Jimmy's to kick it old school shopping style-- where there is a huge selection of kiddo footwear. Bingo bango, we're in business! I was after some sandals and realizing summer is really basically over (it's July) the kind girl offered to measure his feet and bring me out whatever might be left in his size. Probably the first lesson is have your kids feet measured. Each time. I don't know why I keep thinking I can just guess and things will work out well. And then there were 2 in his size. Luckily, I liked one of them. So he tried them on, padded around the store wildly in them, which let me know they would indeed do the trick -- paid quickly, wore them out of the store. Wonderful. The girls were very helpful and this is definitely a full-service shop. Would definitely visit again! The Campers I got him weren't cheap (£50) but *hopefully* should at least last the rest of this season and provide good support for his rapidly growing and developing arsenal of physical endeavours. They sold us a pair…read moreof shoes and each shoe was a different number (one was 11, the other was 12), my son wanted to wear the shoes right away and I did not check that both shoe had the same number. I realised that they were different when we got home, I called the store immediately and they were super rude and they refused to reimburse us or exchange the shoes although it was their mistake! Basically I wasted 50 pounds. I WOULD NOT GO THERE EVER AGAIN!

You can take your child in for a fitting, and the staff will make sure you get the perfect size that has just a little room to grow. I got the cutest pair of pink all stars for a newborn niece. She is going to learn the elements of style from an early age! And they have stores elsewhere in London, so you can find one in your area.

The Designer Warehouse is one of my favourite London discoveries…read more Not far from my home, and just off Seven Sisters road is a monthly sale for designer clothes - having heard from it from a colleague, I didn't really know what to expect. It was great and would definitely recommend giving it a visit. When getting to the warehouse, you have to leave your bag and coat (including your phone) in a cloakroom, and may a small fee of £3 (or 2?) to be able to get in. The sale is over 2 floors, and organised by designers - some are really well known, some are smaller names I've never heard of. It's not a posh environment, it's just rows and rows of clothes on hangers - and you have to take the time to go through them to find the gems, and also your size. There aren't any changing rooms, but there is an area where you can go and try them on at the back of the venue - it's closed off to men, but you do have to accept getting changed in front of other women. I am myself a massive fan of Vivienne Westood, and this was also the opportunity for me to try on a few pieces of her clothes - and yes, I did cave in and buy a top (1/3 of the original price) and a scarf. Good to know: they separate their sales between womanswear and menswear - their schedule is updated on their website.
