STAY AWAY FROM PHOENIX! Phoenix Restoration Services came to my home on April 21st to address water…read moredamage from our upstairs bathroom that affected the kitchen and dining room below. Their work was poorly executed and left the situation incomplete. They removed floorboards unrelated to the affected area and failed to take out all necessary drywall. The ceiling on the first floor was cut open in a rough, uneven manner and left fully exposed, without being sealed off by a plastic partition as it should have been. This level of workmanship was unacceptable and created additional challenges. Tim, the point person for the project, disappeared after the first day. He failed to provide promised documentation, was disorganized, and communicated poorly. A second restoration company is now having to fix many of the mistakes left behind. While Phoenix was recommended by my State Farm agent, I would not recommend them to anyone.

All the employees and the business owners are wonderful and have made a stressful situation so much easier. They have been doing a great job of getting rid of the mold and water and working around our schedule. They also know people who are also great to help with any other issues you may need, for instance: electricians, plumbing, packing, and so on. They also do a fantastic job of working with insurance companies.

I too had an unfortunate experience with Jan. I had hired her to do a move out cleaning. The unit…read moreshe was to clean was approx 500 sq ft. I met her at the unit and let her in. I then ran some errands and came back two hours later thinking she'd be just about done. I walk in and barely anything had been done. She was cleaning out the tub, apparently, but I couldn't even smell the cleaning products (which usually you can, especially in a space that small). I asked her if she thought she'd be done soon, and she said she was just getting started. I then paid her for the two hours and said to text me when she was done and we could square up later. Maybe like the previous poster, I was too trusting. I didn't receive a text so the next afternoon I text her. She said she was at my apartment cleaning until 4 in the morning. Seven hours of cleaning for a 500 sf apartment? So later that day I had a walkthrough with my landlord and it was the first time seeing the place after Jan cleaned. Yes, the fridge and oven were cleaned and the toilet was mostly cleaned, but the shelves weren't, and there was a layer of something grimy on the hardwood floors. It looked like someone spent an hour and a half, maybe two hours cleaning - definitely not the seven hours she said she did. Even my previous landlord during the walkthrough said I had been ripped off and asked me for her name so she could be sure to stay away. Anyway, I called her and told her I wasn't happy and she said she'd meet me at the place that weekend so I can show her what areas needed to be recleaned. Well, that day she was at another house and was over an hour late in heading in my direction. I waited until I couldn't anymore and then called her and said to forget about the reclean, I couldn't wait. I said I'd be willing to pay for another hour or so more than what I had previously paid, but not the seven additional hours she said she cleaned. She told me to keep the money. I definitely would recommend looking elsewhere for cleaning services

On a referral from Earl Snider with Snider Construction, I recently called Service Master…read moreRestoration Service out to take a look at a water leak for a home buyer I represented. Literally a few hours after we closed the deal, the home buyer noticed the leak coming from an exterior soffit underneath the kitchen sink and dishwasher. The seller had replaced the dishwasher but his nephew failed to secure the water line connection. The connection had been slowly leaking for several weeks where no one was able to detect it. Jeremy with Service Master arrived several minutes early for the appointment, quickly identified the issue and had answers for the buyer and I in a matter of 15-20 minutes. He tested moisture levels in the areas where the leak had run from the dishwasher to the exterior of the home and informed us of safe vs potentially harmful moisture levels in regards to potential mold growth in different building materials. He then gave us advice on how to address borderline levels and what to do if the issue comes back and/or gets worse. The best part of this whole experience is that it didn't cost my client a dime! Service Masters came out and did this all for free, and gave excellent customer service the whole way through. I will definitely call on them again in the future when issues like this arise!
