Love this park for the recently renovated playground and shaded trails. The playground is great for big and little kids with lots to do. Pavilions can be reserved ahead of time for parties and there are bathrooms available to use.

2020 review. This is our favorite park. For 5 years we have been here several times a month They had a great play area but due to age they tore it down :( but we getting a new one YEAH At Christmas they have a holiday fair with lots Christmas lights, hay rides..snow..food and the Clark House is open with lotsa surprises. If you want festive its here.. This is a great park and we have made lots of great memories at it. The parking is great and bathrooms are clean. They have a walking path thru the wooded area and the park is safe. Lots of picnic area and benches. Its a Thumbs up from Debbie!

We haven't been in years and stopped by randomly and found that it had recently been renovated. I feel like they did a fantastic job! The playground area is nearly enclosed with one way in and out. There are several zip lines, swings, climbing structures, slides, seesaws that seem a great fit for various ages and ability levels. My kids had a blast. We also loved the little nature trails. Perfect for little explorers

We love coming to this park. Our boys both have such a great time. The equipment upgrades were worth wait during the pandemic. I love that they now have lots of benches for the adults to sit on, and there are so many activities for the kids to engage in. They also have a cute little walking trail where you can stop and read along the path. The restrooms are decent. They now have auto flush and auto door openers. The only thing is that the toilets are small and have no seats. But I really appreciate that they are touchless. Also they have added lots of bench seating off to the right for picnics, which is great because the pavilions are usually rented for parties. This is definitely a park the family can spend time in and enjoy.

This park is fantastic!! They just finished a full remodel and it's easily the coolest park we've ever been to. As long as parents and kids respect the structures and clean up after themselves, this place will be awesome for a long time!!

This is a really cool park! My son loves the new zip line and climbing tower also the story book trail! This park was recently upgraded and all the wooden fixtures have been replaced (definitely a plus in my book)! There are several seating areas and enough sunny and shady spots for everyone. Also, get here early or you won't find parking and currently the bathrooms are out of commission but the have several porta potty's and hand washing stations in the meantime.

This park has everything you could ask for. It is amazing for crawling babies up to preteens and then some. The sandbox is very well kept and clean with toys inside. There are zip lines and a massive climbing playgym. Walking trails right by the park and a covered pavilion. There's even a sand volleyball court right next to it. I have been to this mark many times and it will continue to be my favorite in all of jacksonville.

I came to this park due to a previous review saying there were some nature trails and I enjoy taking my dog outside for long walks. This park has a pretty awesome playground for kids. There is a retention pond in the back- but it's completely fenced in and you cannot walk around it. Next to the park you'll start to see the nature trails. This definitely isn't my favorite nature trail- but it is okay. The trails do switch backs about 4 times and then end. But if you don't mind going off trail there is a little stream you can cross and go deeper back. Id recommend mosquito spray and high shoes. It looks like snake territory. All in all this is an okay park.

It's pretty neat with the fort and all the ways to get to the different slides and sections. We had fun!! Will come back. We kept playing till about dusk it was so much fun!

This is a nice playground, I had been told that the county is responsible for this park now and it doesn't look like they are maintaining it the wood is in bad condition in a lot of areas of the park and they is trash everywhere, I would suggest putting waste baskets in the corners of the playground perimeter so people have a place to throw away there trash without having to leave the fenced in area and to also fix the large gaps in the fence around the park as it is dangerous especially where there are screws popping out.

We were able to find one parking spot, as the lot was filled with cars. It appeared that a lot of people bring their children here after school. There were pavilions with picnic benches, a playground, walking trails, and workout stations. We took a walk around the park checking out the small garden and the workout stations before coming to the playground. My husband was able to sit with our dog while I played with our son on the playground. There are swings, slides, ride ons, monkey bars, and more. We played for about 30-40 minutes before leaving. It was a nice park to visit and tucked away from the busyness of San Jose.

It also has a kids playground and a little climbing wall. I also really like the water fountain that is in the middle of this park. They have benches throughout and a few pavilions for anyone that just wants to chill for a bit. They also have a little grill if someone is so inclined to do a bit of grilling. I am glad that I stumbled across this little park in the middle of nowhere. I guess more appropriately, in the middle of a residential neighborhood. You won't see this park driving down a main road. Which is a shame for those travelers. However, I am sure that this little community likes to keep this little secret to themselves. When I was there on an early Tuesday afternoon, the park had a nice cross section of different ages just enjoying the park. There were young parents pushing their kids in the children's play area on the swings and they were older people just chilling on the benches enjoying a nice Tuesday afternoon. We also had a few people and either their thirtiess or firties taking advantage of the walking park. I enjoyed my time in this little hidden gem. I will give it five stars overall.

Nestled in the Mandarin area, the park offers a glimpse into a long-forgotten way of life through well-preserved historic buildings and informative signage. Even if the museum isn't open, there's still plenty to learn just by walking around. The paved and boardwalk-style paths make it especially accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, or elderly visitors. There are clean restrooms on-site and pavilions that can be reserved, which is great for small family get-togethers or casual outdoor events. It's also right next to a county dock and boat launch--technically not part of the park, but close enough to enjoy the breeze and water views. That said, there's not a ton to "do" here, especially if the museum is closed. There are no hiking trails or playgrounds, so it's better suited for a quiet stroll than a full day out. Because the park is on the smaller side, sound tends to carry--something to keep in mind if you're hoping for solitude during a busy weekend. One small frustration is that it's become a popular spot for photo shoots, and some photographers don't always respect that it's a shared public space. This is a great spot for a short, relaxing visit--especially if you're interested in local history or just want somewhere calm to stroll. Not really a "destination park," but definitely a hidden gem if you're in the area. I'd return, especially if the museum is open next time.
