It's nearly an exact halfway point, and also pretty much represents your ONLY option for food choices to break up the journey. That said, it's still not a big place, and your options are mostly of the fast food variety, and there definitely isn't much that isn't fried. Enter Jersey Mike's, a great place to stop if you don't want to be weighed down or groggy from grease. On my recent trip to Myrtle beach, i actually stopped both coming and going, and that prompts me to leave this review. As usual, nothing wrong with the sandwich. Good flavors. I had my standard Jersey shore special both times. First trip was a little meatier than the second, but not so much so that I was angry. Bread was great both times, Mike's Way is as good as ever, add pickles and the spicy red peppers. The charge to add chips and drink is too much, as always, but need a cup of refreshment for the road... so I cave, at least on the drink. This location is attached to a gas station, doesn't look much on the outside, but you've nothing to fear. Inside is clean and bright. Bathrooms are clean, but just show their age. Staff is usually just fine, some interested, some less so, but the job gets done. They lose the same star that all Jersey Mike's do for me, and that is that the price for a standard size sub, chips, and drink is just too high. I miss the daily specials where certain sandwich choices would cut you a deal... all apparently a thing of the past now. But, without a grocery store or local sandwich shop that I know of to compete, they get my money, even if slightly begrudgingly. I'll keep going, but dang Mike, help a brother keep a little cash!

But we were willing to just try it. We watched the staff make a dirty soda and it took two people and about 10 minutes to make one. It was a little excessive considering it's a soda, syrup and cream. We ordered our meals to go and when we got home I was heavily disappointed. Our drive home isn't even that far either and we sat down to eat right away. The big baller was soggy straight down the middle from the over abundance of sauce. It was even toasted so it should have been okay. I actually couldn't even eat it as a sandwich it was so bad. So $12 for three meatballs to eat by themselves with no bread was expensive. My husband had the Momma D and he said it was nothing special. The "beef gravy" is an au jus and he said that was better than the sandwich itself. The only redemption was quite literally the tomato basil soup. I throughly enjoyed that.

Secondly, the food is packaged carefully for carry out orders. And lastly, the soup was divine, and just what I was craving, several flavor bursts, a hint of garlic?? And the pimento...real good! Onions, YES!!?? * 5/5 Due to great service, pleasant atmosphere, & quality/taste of my food selections.
