I have repeatedly tried to contact her and she either gives me a runaround or refuses to answer. I hope she is happy with the money I have given her, because if I have anything to say about it, it's the LAST time she will get paid for taking a photo. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS AND PERSON! I can't give ZERO stars!

I figured that she would know how to get the attention of our four. The photography session was easy to plan, and she was responsive. She was patient with our large family gathering. We encountered issues after the shoot. She didn't give us our gallery until over a month after the shoot, and this was after many follow-up emails and text messages. I missed the opportunity to give my mom a Mother's Day photo gift. The online gallery Keala provided was low-quality pictures. The images, when downloaded, were under 1mb. Even a 5x7 was too grainy and pixelated. After several attempts to request the original files, I had no response. We take family photos once per year, I'm super disappointed that we won't be able to use any of the photos. I don't like giving negative reviews for small businesses but I thought it might be helpful for a future family to avoid some stress and grief. We made a mistake.

I choose swell amongst all the Kauai photographers because the price was very reasonable, included free download of the pictures and touch-up. I truly felt comfortable when Kristen (Swell Photographer/owner) called me after my initial inquiry email to answer any questions, locations and ideas, she exemplified the Aloha spirit. When we arrived in Kauai, the weather was not in my favor on my booked session. No worries, Kristen accommodated my request to move the session. Additionally, my fiancée and I decided to bring our wedding gown and suit to Kauai, so we can take pre-wedding pictures instead. If your getting married, take as many pictures in your wedding dress because the day of the wedding is not enough time. So I choose to take my pictures 1 hour before sunset on the South side at Mahaulepu Beach. Kristen got pictures with the mountains behind us, sail boat, black rock, sand, oceans and etc. All the pictures turned out perfect without touch ups but I did get some touch ups with my hair and people in the background. After sharing my pictures on FB, received positive comments and likes of the pictures. I highly recommend Swell Kauai photography for Kauai family portraits, Kauai engagement session and Kauai wedding photography.

First and foremost I reached out to about 3 other photographers on the island, the prices were a bit high for a short session. Also because I wasn't familiar with the area I asked the other photographers if they had any suggestions, most of them were pretty vague and didn't give me much feedback. I e-mailed Josh via his website, he replied pretty quickly and I sensed the enthusiasm in his e-mails he suggested a few places in the vicinity of the area we were staying at, I Googled them (all really beautiful) and his prices were very reasonable! He was our dude! Josh is really a chill and nice guy and also very professional (he was early and flexible with our meet time) and makes you feel relaxed throughout the whole session. Even the hubs who isn't really the let's pose and take pictures type said it was a cool experience. We will really cherish these photo keepsakes when we're old and gray and the great memories of our stay in Kauai. Thanks Josh!

My wife and I decided to elope to Kauai, and after doing some research, we contacted Aloha Ever After, we first spoke to Nicolle, who was very helpful, polite & attentive to our wishes, I liked that she listened to what we had in mind and didn't try to steer us in different directions. I also liked the follow up emails and videos from Timory, Their organization made all of the planning go so smooth and easy. On the big day, the weather was a little unstable, "No panic needed", As we sat in the parking lot praying for the weather to clear, we spoke with Joel & Timory, who had several ideas for alternatives in case the rain persisted. moments later, our wishes and prayers were answered, the sky cleared enough to proceed and not only did we manage to enjoy an amazing and beautiful ceremony, complete with the traditional Hawaiin Lei swap and sand ceremony, But we felt like we were blessed with several miracles during the wedding, In the bay near our "I Do" location, Our photographer (Timory) noticed and pointed out a manta ray, which she said she had never seen in all of her years of performing weddings on that beach! when I asked at our restaurant that evening, our waiter couldn't believe it either, he stated he was born and raised there and had never seen a manta ray either! then rainbows were popping up all around us and the sky cleared to make way for an amazing sunset and many more great photos! We simply could not have made the day any more special than it was. Joel and Timory were both amazing to work with on every level. I/We will never forget our phenomenal wedding experience or the incredible people who helped us every step of the way! Thank you again to Aloha Ever After & Timory McDonald Photography for everything. We will surely recommend your company to anyone else planning the biggest and most important day of their lives.

We rescheduled for a few days later. Good plan. It was a beautiful day. She arrived on time, and was flexible with our time and a second event she was working at. She was fair with our pricing as we went over our one hour agreement. The photo's arrived via email and download a few days later and they were just what I was hoping for! I would use this company again down the road. Very nice and made my kids comfortable during the photo shoot!

We just received our photo CD a little less than 4 weeks after our ceremony and they are just gorgeous! Kent was very hands on from the start, when I contacted him about the vow renewal while in Kauai (to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary). Our set-up was really simple - just the two of us, a minister, lei's, bouquet and the photography (I think it was the barefoot package + additional with the bouquet). We had a few check-in calls and e-mails to finalize details and then we talked the morning of the ceremony. Kent was really great to work with, easy going and attentive. Our minister (Hawaiian Spiritual) was equally great and made the ceremony extra special. Overall, things could not have gone any better - it was a day that we'll never forget. I still can't get over how amazing the photos were. Our ceremony was at Shipwrecks beach :) I think overall as long as you give all the details to Kent and tell him what you're looking for everything will be great! He has a lot of information and takes pride in what he does, and it shows. I would highly recommend Coconut Coast Weddings!

I was hesitant to trust a man with my ceremony (you just always feel that a woman will be more in touch with these things) but not wanting to be sexist, I was happy to give him a shot. Throughout the summer, we had significant difficulty receiving responses from Kent, repeatedly having to follow up via phone on emails that we had placed. He was always cordial, but never apologetic. He repeatedly forgot details of the ceremony, so much that I ensured that I kept my own file on all communications to ensure that I had proof of the messages. Again...no apologies. Friendly and very true to his Hawaiian culture, but the antithesis of professionalism. Concerned about the actual conduct, we agreed to meet with him to review logistics once we were on the island. However, we never got that far. With just 12 days to the ceremony, he had the audacity to email us and 'suggest' that we change the location of the ceremony because 'he didn't realize that we were staying at the resort that we were staying and felt that it was not convenient.' Needless to say, with no confidence of his abilities to execute our wedding the way that we wanted, we let him go with only a week to replace him. You can only IMAGINE the anxiety! Shentel at Hanalei Colony Resort stepped in and, in just two days, replaced all vendors and conducted the PERFECT ceremony for my fiance' and me. She was FLAWLESS! Not once throughout this entire experience did he apologize for his ineptitude. This man relies on the reputation of a coordination business that he has only recently assumed responsibility for. He is a photographer by trade and I would highly recommend that he relinquish his coordination hat and stick to photography.
