The process was fast and simple--find an available date on their calendar, and either pay a deposit or the full amount. We booked a mini session. For a family of 3-6, the shoot is 30 minutes and you receive 20 photos. In addition to that, I added the sneak peek package. Since we were visiting Kauai from California, I did what most people would do when they vacation--check the weather app. It showed rain for the entire week! You can imagine how devastated I felt. I sent an email and asked for their recommendation on how to proceed. They reassured me that island weather is pretty tricky and no weather app is ever accurate. I trusted their judgement, and it gave me confidence to move forward. Fast forward to the day of the shoot. We shot at Kalapaki Beach--a beautiful, iconic beach. It did not rain, but it was overcast a bit for a period of time. That didn't bother me because they took great photos. We're grateful for their patience with our two rambunctious boys (ages 3 & 5). They worked so well with them, and our boys felt really comfortable. At one point, Kayli asked our youngest to "run to Uncle Matt" and I thought that was sweet--felt like we were treated like family. On top of that, they made sure we got all the shots we wanted--I think we may have went over the 30 minute limit. But I could tell they enjoy taking photos to get the best shots. They are so great to work with. At the end of the shoot, Kayli had a special surprise for our boys. She had them pick three things from a Magic Box full of small trinkets and toys. What a sweet and thoughtful gesture! Our boys loved it. Overall, our experience was lovely. From their first response to post photoshoot. Kayli and Matt are responsive, kind, patient and passionate about photography. They are truly professionals. I would absolutely recommend them. When we go back to visit with more of our family, I mentioned to both Kayli and Matt that we'd love to bothem again.

Kayli was incredible throughout the entire planning process. Even though we never met her in person, she made everything feel easy, personal, and organized. Her communication, guidance, and care showed in every detail. Her husband, Matt, photographed our second shoot, and he was absolutely wonderful to work with. He did great at instructing us awkward folks to pose, and was able to capture those natural moments that feel so genuine. Ipo also did a fantastic job documenting our ceremony, and we are so thankful to have those memories preserved so beautifully. The florals were perfect. I brought my haku lei and bouquet through the airport to enjoy throughout my honeymoon. Every detail felt thoughtful, organized, and perfectly matched to the vision we had described. This team really does it all, and does it with talent, kindness, and true artistry. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mahalo!!

There are so many good things to say about Meg and her fiancé Pete (look up Bradyhouse Media for…read morehis work)! First off, a friend of mine had found Meg's work off of Instagram and suggested that I reach out to her. Mind you, I was planning an "enchanted elopement" in less than a week and a half. Luckily, since it was an elopement -- we were pretty flexible and so was Meg! My husband and I had never been to Hawaii so we knew nothing about the islands or Kauai. I tried to research as much I could but was a bit overwhelmed. Meg was more than happy to make suggestions on different vendors, location and what was the best time for shooting. We settled for Ke'e Beach. I am so glad she suggested that because it provided us different types of photos -- jungle, beach, sunset, etc. The timing was also perfect for a natural lighting with the sun and waves. Meg's overall presence and personality matched ours, too. From previous photographers I have dealt with (from my family & friend's weddings), she did not push us to do things we weren't comfortable with. She was so laid back! Also, we aren't the most romantic and subtle type of couple. We are the loud and silly type. She was able to capture us perfectly in the photos! After she spent about 3 hours with us, we went our separate ways. Then a couple of hours later, I received a few sneak peak photos!! How awesome is that! I got the remainder of my photos in less than two weeks. She took more than she had promised too! Now, I want to add that I am in the film & tv industry. From the words of everyone in my industry, WOW! They said that I picked the perfect person for my photos and loved her artistic eyes. We are so glad we went with Meg & Pete. Since our family & friends weren't there, these photos allowed them to feel as if they were actually there. Book Meg if you want something amazing!

We did our babymoon in Kauai at the end of February and I was looking for a photographer to do a babymoon photoshoot. I searched online using Google and Instagram and found many options, most of which were way over the price point we were hoping. I am so thankful I stumbled across Kauai Photo and Video's instagram page! I loved their photos and how they were more natural light photographers vs. being overly edited/filtered. They are very reasonably priced and don't try to add on extra charges for travel etc. like many of the others do - it did help that they are located in the South Shore and we were staying in Poipu. The best part was how comfortable Jordan and Emma helped made us feel during the photoshoot! They were very friendly, sweet, communicative with suggestions on how we should pose, and accommodating when we asked for a few additional shots of certain poses we had in mind. The finished photos blew me away and I am absolutely obsessed! My husband and I both agreed that the photoshoot was one of our favorite experience and memories from the trip overall! I love that. She didn't leave us hanging, ever. Also, Shelly herself is a very sweet and kind person. You can just see it in her demeanor. She was so accommodating! The weather was bad getting worse when she got here for our scheduled time, and many photographers would have just said "ok let's go indoors and do the shoot" - but Shelly offered to come back again the next day when the weather was supposed to be better (and it was completely better thankfully!). It was generous of her since it meant more of a time commitment on her part, but you could tell she just wanted to make sure we got great pictures. We are really thankful for that! Now, what about the pictures themselves? After all, that is what you hire her for, right? They came out great! Lots of variety - I don't think a single pair of pictures looks similar to each other. I hate it when you get the pictures back and it's basically all the same pose of "the family looking into the camera". Shelly made sure we got lots of different poses, angles, backgrounds. She picked great spots that were easy to get to but also photographed really well. She did a great job with the composition of the shots themselves. Her turnaround time to get us the pictures was pretty insane actually! I could not believe she got them to us so quickly! We found her price to be super reasonable, too. Overall, we are very happy we hired her amongst the 8 photographers we contacted. Thanks again, Shelly!
