The shooting lanes are nice, new, and well maintained, and bullseye targets are available free to visitors. The range safety officers are helpful and watchful, firing breaks are well timed, and the fellow shooters all seemed friendly and safety-oriented. The pistol range is set for 10 and 25 yard target placement, the rife range is 25/50/100/200 yards. While I didn't use the 200 yard range, it's nice to have available. It's the only public range I've visited that will accommodate distances greater than 100 yards, and only one of two ranges I've seen with this feature. Good things to know before visiting: -Free bullseye targets, but no other options, and no other targets/ammo sold -Free loaner ear and eye protection -Sign in at the front -No rapid/automatic fire, controlled pairs seem to be tolerated -No .22 LR on the rife range--apparently they tend to skip the berms -Rifles seem to be OK on the pistol line -No drawing from holsters

Discount jewelery and loan is $30 so there are cheaper places to ship to but not much. They have an indoor range where you can rent firearms or bring your own to practice. I've always preferred outdoor over indoor though so I didn't actually get to see the range. They also have ammo, accessories, etc for sale. I don't know if they allow full auto or not or to what caliber they allow. I meant to ask but got side tracked looking around. This won't affect most people anyway as they don't have a license for full auto but I do. I usually run the gauntlet on the outdoor range down 49 with the Sheriff's office. The two employees that were there when I went, I assume one of them was the owner, were both friendly and answered any question I had. There are covered picnic benches outside where I'm assuming you could clean your weapons after you're done plinking before you leave. If they're not for that purpose I'm not really sure what they're there for. They have gunsmiths on staff they said, with not too bad of wait times. Just bring your firearm that needs repairing, tell the smith what's wrong with it, and leave it with them. I was told the wait should be less than 2 weeks when I went. So if you're looking for an indoor range the staff are friendly here and it seems like a good place to try out. I forget how much they charge so you'd have to call and ask them for that.

The price was right and my husband was very happy with the transaction and his handgun. My husband brought some rifle parts in to have them stripped and finished with cerakote. They turned out really nice. We live 3 hours away and we will be returning for this service again. Today we brought our 16 year old here to shoot at the range for his birthday. We were able to rent a Desert Eagle 50AE and an Uzi submachine gun to shoot in addition to our own weapons. My son was thrilled. The instructor who supervised us with the Uzi was knowledgeable and friendly. We all enjoyed ourselves at the range. We as a family give this business our highest recommendation.

This was a challenge and I found the most effective way was through Facebook. Email didn't seem to get responses nor did the phone. I thought I'll let that go as most of these companies are part-time and I could understand the delay in communication. Next step... get signed up. I got a class date but had to inquire about payment type, times, location, etc. None of this was easy to find. I sign up and go to the building. No sign. Oh crap. I wait to see what happens at the location. Finally close to time for the class a guy pulls up in a truck and puts a magnet sign on the door. I enter. The class is all over the place and normally there are two guys... one who does the class and the other does the range. While going through the class I ask about the Groupon that I found online. He waves it off like it was not for this class and moves on. We get through the material and onto some training with weapons. Once we were finished he told us that we would have to drive all the way out to KEITHVILLE because his range was underwater due to flooding. This would have been nice to know up front!!!! I would have found someone within that mileage range to compare against if I had known. If I have to drive that far anyway, why not try another company. We get out there and finish our training. After the class I went back to the Groupon and found that it was, indeed, for that class specifically. After going back and forth with him the Groupon miraculously disappeared. He tried to argue that the fingerprinting, notary and lunch made up for the difference in cost, really a difference of $85.00? Fingerprinting I can get done cheaply, notary I can get for free through my bank and I could have bought my own lunch. I find this to be unprofessional and greedy. Other companies are much less and I would advise to look elsewhere. A.D.A.T Groupon.com of $35. Even without the Groupon their regular price is $90.00 compared to Renegade at $120.00.
