Oh the fair. What to say. It's the fair lol Spendy food, rides, games and lots of people. Oh and lets not forget about the numerous vendors selling their spendy loot too. Some of the food is good, most isn't worth the money. The monster trucks can be fun to watch! And I personally enjoy looking at the animals. The fair is probably more enjoyable if you have kids to take and enjoy it with. Overall if you've never been most definitely go! But would I make this a yearly routine...likely not.

Its a good time! Lots of fun things to see and do. Loved the expanded food items this year. With the expo people were s little less pushy. But iverall it's a fair. Its expensive and busy but that us to be expected. The monster trucks never disappoint, we mostly come every year to check those out, the rest is frosting on the cake.

Go to the website and check online for the latest schedule, prices etc. Organized parking for the most part but parking spots seemed a bit narrow. Cool stuff animal prizes. Carni games and staff were friendlier than most other fairs. Expect Long lines for rides the last hours up until closing. lots of food options at the food court. Clean and friendly staff. Stop at the Beer garden Pavillion for a drink (21+)!

Have attended Many events here as a vendor and as a customer. Staff is friendly and nice. Very roomy and clean. So much going on all the time. Very fun place to go to. Every season has so much to offer. Giant garage sales here 4x a year, major deals and new items plus, antiques, furniture and much more. Summer time has rides and lots of live music options. Tons of parking! Much more affordable here than the Salem state fairgrounds. Easy access off freeway..a must see

It's all at the Fair! Tame wild beasts...

Nothing really compares with a good old fashioned well organized county fair. I have been to many county fairs from the largest in the world (Los Angeles County) to the smallest (Calumet County, WI) and I have to say that as far as county fairs go, this one fits right in the middle perfectly. Tonight The Wife, The Tax Deduction and I ventured out to the fair to see how my entries in baked goods fared at the.. well... fair. After a small fiasco with the parking attendants where we were routed into and out of the fairgrounds without being waved in to park anywhere having to drive around and explain what happened, we made a bee line to the Home Arts to see how I did. After that (3 entries, 3 wins) we went and ate, the small one wanted a hot dog, the Wife and I wanted the Mesquite BBQ situated conveniently next to the Dairy Women's soft serve ice cream stand. Call it kismet, call it destiny, I call it good eats! We did everything to entertain the Tax Deduction, he rode ponies, found an inflatable Batman figure on a stick we got for him and we went and saw Rabbits and Cows and Goats and Sheep and more. Since he is only 4 we were limited in the carnival section, which is good because carnival people (in fairs, not the cruise ship) just scare the tar out of me, who grows up saying, "I want to be a carny when I grow up."? Maybe have to know the right people? As the evening wound down we toured some exhibits, made some changes to our cable television line up, drank free ice water courtesy of the county water company and I got to make fun of both the Republicans and the Democrats in their little booths spewing lies to the good people of Clark County. A rich and full evening of the highest caliber.

Lots of events are held here. The grounds are well kept, nicely laid out, and houses plenty of convenient parking.

Literally came into town for this and so glad that we did. We're used to large festivals in Vegas…read morethat are overcrowded. The town kept telling us that it does get pretty busy but honestly it was nothing compared to an event like this here in Vegas. We absolutely loved going! The event itself is free, but if you pay for tickets you get so many other things. We also took the shuttle in, which they take you by school bus (so fun and totally make sense for the movie). With the ticket you get access to special bathrooms and things like that, as well as the pavillion, though it felt like no one was really hanging out in there. They even had a live band that was kind of playing for no one which was kinda sad haha. However, still really cool! You also got to go on a tour which took you to the spots where Halloweentown and Twilight were filmed, which I honestly really loved. The tour guide was super knowledgeable and gave some fun facts about both movies I didn't know! We came a few days early and got to explore before it got crazy with all the vendors, but honestly, still SO much fun to come to this! They event do a pumpkin lighting at night and a few of the cast members were also there. Definitely recommend checking this out if you love the movie! It's so much fun and literally feels like a fake little movie set, even though it's the actual town! SO FUN! We had the best time!!!

This was honestly really upsetting. We went on Halloween night, and there was zero organization. I…read moremade a special trip down from Washington with my daughter and stepmom, stayed at a hotel and did the whole thing because I grew up on Halloweentown and have always wanted to experience this in person. I paid online ahead of time, fully expecting some kind of structured, ticketed event. Instead, it felt like everyone in town was just allowed to walk right in. There was no clear separation for people who paid versus people who didn't. People were everywhere taking pictures, and no one was stopping them or checking anything. It was frustrating to realize we paid for something that others were doing for free. I honestly feel like I wasted my money. I'd like a refund, but I already know that would probably turn into a runaround. If you're coming from out of town, especially on Halloween, this is absolutely not worth the drive. Do not pay online, there is literally nothing stopping anyone from just walking around and taking pictures anyway. It's a joke. A literal joke. We ended up salvaging the night by driving about 10 minutes away to a neighborhood actually celebrating Halloween and handing out candy, which ended up being the highlight for my daughter. Unfortunately, this experience was a huge letdown. I will not be attending again or recommending to anyone if they ask.

My experience was awesome…read more To begin with, I had never been to this island located at the northwest end of Portland. I was pleasantly surprised, if not shocked, by the beauty and country feel given the proximity to Portland: farm after farm for 4+ miles to the destination after crossing the bridge to the island and the long extended view of farmland as I walked the fields with the beauty of the Forest Park trees as a backdrop: not bad at all! The operation was well organized and staff was informative of what was available, and where to find the best bounties. I found that they had a variety of raspberries and they were truly differentwith regard to taste. I have gone berry pickin' for over 40 years and have sometimes found the berries to look great but be bland on taste. Their raspberries both looked good and did justice to the look with the taste. As for price, I found the price to be extremely fair. All in all, a great hour plus of pickin' fantastic raspberries.. In addition, the kicker is the farm offered an additonal benny on this particular day: from 6-8 pm two members of the Portland based bluegrass band Whiskey Deaf performed for free at the gazebo on property.

Columbia U-Pick Farm has some really fun varieties you don't always see elsewhere, like raspberry caps and pink lemonade blueberries. Everything is sold by weight, so you can pick as much or as little as you'd like! Don't forget to sample as you go while you're picking, that's the fun part! The berries are locally grown, the scenery is truly whimsical, and I guarantee that this visit will turn into a core summer memory! The staff here are super kind and friendly - in the spring time, you can also come here and u-pick your own peonies! What a gem of a spot, located only 30 mins from downtown PDX.
