Easily one of the coolest restaurants in Tulum. This restaurant actually has a cenote inside the restaurant and you can get a seat right next to cenote and watch people jump in as you eat your food. Very cool. The whole interior of the restaurant is just beyond interesting. They have an open kitchen which is another very cool feature. We did not get food here but we just got a drink and a drink was pretty good. There is a swing connected to the tree in the middle of the cenote. Very fun place, love the ambience. A friend told me about Clan Destino and I was pretty excited to check it out one day for lunch. Essentially, it's a burger bar circling a small cenote, which is every bit as cool as it sounds. We spotted the signage easily from the beach road and were welcomed and taken down a long hallway of sorts to the restaurant. The vibe was super chill (minus one extremely un-chill woman swimming in the cenote, but that's another story) and everyone was just hanging out in their beach attire. My friend and I both ordered shrimp burgers, which came with a handful of fries, and mojitos. The burgers hit the spot and the price was super reasonable. Before leaving we grabbed a couple photos on the swing hanging over the cenote, along with another tourist who was travelling solo. I'd definitely go back if I found myself in Tulum again! read more

I love Clan Destino!! On a hot day after walking the strip, a dip in the cool canote feels amazing while waiting for your food to cook. I also had the grilled fish and carrots. I think this place could be magical but really falls short. The smell as you walk in is just awful. The cenote that you can sit around is murky and horrid. The burger (rib eye) was good but barely any meat. EVERY other table was smoking so that wasn't pleasant. And service was just very amateur. Hidden gem surrounded by a cenote that you actually swim in while you dine. Excellent jungle vibe. Probably the one of the top five burgers I've EVER eaten. The waiter we had was rude and lazy. We have had top notch service from every single place in tulum except here. The menu looks like wood with letters etched in-it said soda on there, I tried to order one and be rolled his eyes and asked me what I was talking about and acted like it was insane that I asked for one, he went on and on for a solid 3 minutes. But whatever. The food here was meh. There are so many amazing places to eat here, this would take away that time from good food, so don't do it. We sat up the stairs and there were a bunch of people that work there and are friends of those that work there that smoked pot the entire time. The other table next to me hated it as well. I'm pretty sure we could have all gotten high from that cloud we are in. The fries we ordered had cheese bacon jalapeños, the cheese was gross processed cheese, don't do it. Most of the people at the bottom were trying to get Instagram photos on a swing in the little "cenote". The place actually resembled a gross bayou. So many mosquitos, I got 8 bites during lunch. If you are not careful, you'll pass by this gem and don't even notice, but once you find them, you'll never want to leave. We came by an hour before the opened without knowing the schedule and they were kind enough to let us stay a while in the cenote that they have in the middle of the restaurant. It's completely spectacular and definitely the most impressive thing about the restaurant. Everyone was so nice and rhe food was great! I ordered the shrimp burger and it was to die for. This place is a hidden gym. The burgers and fries are awesome. Drinks were the best I had in Tulum. I ate the food before I remembered to take a picture. It's a must when in Tulum. Such a cool spot! It was recommended to us by another bar down the road and we were not disappointed. The burgers and fries are delicious, seriously wish I could have one in LA right now! The staff are very friendly and laid back and still made sure we were never left without a drink in our hand:) The Cenote in the middle was super cool and refreshing after melting the day away. We went on karaoke night which was a lot of fun. Try even give you a shot of Mezcal afterwards for singing! No judgements here on talent, everyone was encouraging and had a great time. Food is just okay, location is unusual because of little cenote, one star for that. BUT the guy who worked yesterday night at the register was unbelievably unfriendly and ruined the experience. Bar guys and other stuff are friendly though they mostly don't understand English but the register guy shouldn't work there, shouldn't work with people at all. Went here late last night because it was the only place open and was really dispappointed by the quality of the food. It tasted like frozen food that had just been deep fried. For Tulum, I expected better quality. The fries were really basic and my veggie burger was extremely dry and didn't even have anything like a tomato to add any juice. Think of a Mexican version of a speakeasy with the added benefit of being built atop a Cenote for a super unique and authentic backdrop. Although I didn't experience it myself, they also market themselves as a great late night spot serving hamburgers, veggie burgers and more. Highly recommend checking this place out. This place is awesome. There is a cenote inside the bar/restaurant so you can take a dip if you get too hot from the heat and humidity. Make sure to bring bug spray though. It's a little swampy around the perimeter on the outside. I wish I had eaten here but I never had the chance. I did enjoy some great local mezcal though (I generally do not like mezcal but it tasted better in Tulum).
