The store offers one-of-a-kind service and merchandise. LAYOUT: The store is one large space with multiple rooms and nooks. The front of the store has manly vibes. The rest of the store has treasures that are more domestic. MERCHANDISE: I've explored plenty of vintage stores but only found certain things here. The front of the store has barber shop sign, old lamps, antique old cans, collectible cars, gas cans, and more. Seriously suitable for a man's cave. The remaining merchandise are ethnic statues, apothecary and perfume bottles, figurines, cups and plates, antique lamps, bonnets, vinyls, wall art, Coca-Cola relics, and more. The shop does not have clothing with the exception of accessories - purses and clutches. However, I was most impressed with multiple small jars with of tonics and other apothecary finds. The inventory is not really organized by theme except perhaps the front, but somehow the store just flows. Every corner holds so much treasure. SERVICE: The service is very friendly. The shop keeper approached me in a greeting, complimented my outfit, and was very welcoming. She felt very genuine. I would recommend a visit to this shop for unique gifts or if you're entertaining. First off, Oberlin is a comfortable college town, and the parking is stress-free. I sometimes worry a lot about where I'm going to park when I go somewhere on a busy Saturday in summer. Parking worked. The business was previously in a 300 square foot two story home, and space was tight. Now it's in an expansive 3000+ square foot showcase space with tall ceilings, wrought iron support beams and plenty of room to move around. With some yarn stores you feel like you're bumping into things, but not here. It's well laid out, with a large community space in the middle of the floor, well-built tables and chairs. You feel like you can really take your time to both shop and work on projects here. For more formal classes, there's also a dedicated back area with loads of fun art on the walls. The entire space is well lit and inspirational. Exactly what you want in a local yarn store! Prices are in-line with what you'd expect, so the value is very good, especially given the fact that you can walk out with your selections on the spot. I love supporting local businesses and also appreciate the immediate gratification of getting what I need right then and there. The selection was the best I've seen in a long time! Some of my favorites were Spincycle Yarn, Cocoknits accessories, and we even picked up a hand-forged iron yarn bowl that will be a centerpiece of our home maker space. Atenti bags were also well represented in various shapes, sizes and color schemes. This family owned business made me feel super comfortable shopping around, and had answers to all of my questions. At the time of this writing, the store had only been open at this location for just over two weeks, and you can tell that it's going to do well.

You could see their hot breaths again the crisp air. Their noses red and runny due to the incoming cold winter air. As I took another step, dodging a stump where a blue spruce once stood and is most likely the center of a family's future Christmas memory, I looked up at the sky and enjoyed the sweet smell of life within the trees around me. This is what memories are made of. Going to a tree farm. Picking your own tree. Cutting it down. Carrying it back in one hand and the saw in the other. Wilcox Tree Farm can make this memory happen. You need to go at least once in your lifetime. Best part, they have a TREE SHAKER. Because we all know we want to take home as few little critters as possible. The staff is super nice too! They still have a good amount of precut trees that are tall and full if you'd rather go that route.
