As my mother and I were looking through the well organized racks, a sales associate followed after us commenting on "messing" up the rack. Then come to find out, the young sales associate was commenting on our Hispanic background. Making comments as to "if we could even afford" their clothing. I would not recommend going to this boutique at all. My mother owns a bank firm in downtown Houston and I go to a private high school. I rather spend the not so different prices at the mall rather this convenient store close to home.

This resale shop is in LaPorte , TX and I was in town for a meeting and visited Shop Therapy during my lunch break. I went here to browse for clothes and accessories and also exchange some clothes that I had in my car (many new with tags still on) for cash or put them on consignment. The overweight, grouchy older lady working at the front was rude to me from the get go. She said "they didn't accept clothes balled up in sacks." My nice garments were not on hangers but were certainly not 'balled up," just folded and carried in via 2 totes. I kindly suggested a mini steamer would be a handy thing to have at a clothing resale boutique and that I loved mine. I tried to remain friendly. She then said "Are you sure you just don't want to take them back?' she asked. This wench was trying to throw me out of the store... Soooooo not a way to conduct business. For some odd reason, you could tell she didn't want to do business with me and I have no clue why. Then, she and another lady sifted through my items while I browsed. They did want many of my nice things, of course, and offered a measly $25. I didn't think that was very much and started to think I didn't want to part with some of things I paid alot for but never wore after all- or that I would sell them elsewhere, like EBAY! As I contemplated plucking an item out of the "buy" she said "Just forget it." We don't want any of them. Then I lost it. No, she was going to finish the transaction, give me the $25 and I was then (for some reason) going to buy six $2 items that I found there totalling $12. Then I told her I would never be back again and that this shop was awfully unprofessional. I then BLASTED Them on FB and contact the BBB and LaPorte Chamber to give awful reviews. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHOP THERE! As a I was leaving, she was quite friendly to an overweight customer walking in the door with 2 large "sacks" full of clothes. I believe this woman was a repeat customer. What an idiot.

I recently requested a refund for an undelivered item, but was instead offered store credit. This raises concerns as to how such a credit can be utilized effectively if the merchandise is not readily available. Not even anyone to look up, make eye contact, smile and go back to what they were doing. Their clothes are cute and I was impressed with their selection but I don't think I'll be back. The prices for the clothes are very reasonable but the people working were more worried about where the taco person was going to set up and /or the photo Booth we're setting up then making sure I was good.
