Rachel and her assistant pierced both ears at the same time, minimizing the number of times our daughter would have to endure the discomfort. They sanitized their counter and the earring "triggers. So let me start off by saying that I had written a review with my experience a few months ago, one of the old employees who claimed to be a manager when she wasn't, was rude and didn't care to resolve my issue. She actually made it worse and I hope she was fired, since she deserves nothing but to treated as poorly as she chooses to treat people/customers. I would love to address her by name but I don't know her name. Which she is very lucky in that case. Anyway the actual real manager, Rachel is amazing. She actually cares about her job and the customers as well as their experience. As a manager should. She reached out to me recently in regards to my review and expressed how unhappy she was with what she read. She didn't just apologize for my experience but she wanted to try to resolve it. She asked me to call her to speak with her directly and of course I was more than happy to do so. I spoke to Rachel and came in the store when she was there. She went above and beyond and made sure I was more than taken care of. She is the only reason I updated my review, which is a huge deal. From a 1 star review to a solid 5! Rachel is the perfect example of what a store manager should be. She is an asset and exceeds expectations. I really appreciated her making the effort to try to reach out to me, hoping to fix my experience. She figured the worst that could happen is I didn't respond or wasn't willing to give her the chance to fix the issue and make it right but I obviously was more than happy to do so. Highly recommend getting your baby's ears pierced here! I have a 7 month old and Rachel and her assistant did them at the same time and did an amazing job. They are both so nice and experienced. My 9 year old got her ears pierced yesterday and it was a great experience. She was super nervous and the girls did a great job of easing her fears. Everything was clean and sterile. Two girls pierced her ears together to avoid doing one ear at a time. Her ears looked Great afterwards, not red at all. She woke the next morning to earring holes that look perfect, no sign of infection or pain. The only warning is the war cleaning solution could stain your clothing. We didn't realize this and her new blue shirt has small bleached spots where it dropped down from her ears. We would totally recommend Claire's. read more

Rachel is a piercing queen. I went with a mom friend to get a closed earlobe repierced. I was panicking inside but she was so good at distracting me with some personal stories. She described aftercare both before and after the piercing - they also give a cleaning solution with your piercing. Seriously so lame. Got my daughter a pair of earrings. She is allergic to the silver metal earrings so asked the girl at the register if they had any gold or white gold ones. The girl was very friendly and took us to where the piercing station was and showed us some white gold ones. My daughter picked out one she liked and we paid for it. After going to a few more stores she found something else and changed her mind. We took the earrings back to Claire's and the girl asked what was wrong. Said nothing we just changed our mind. She said sorry these are final sales and not returnable because they are for piercing. I said we just bought it without the piercing. She said sorry but no. I can understand the policy because for sanitary reasons it's already opened and I wouldn't personally want someone to use an open package to pierce my child's ears. It just really bothered me that at time of purchase the girl should have the decency to tell us these are not returnable and final. For $55 that would have been appreciated. Also the attitude the girl gave when we asked to return it was very unnecessary. read more

Getting ears pierced? Walk away! I had my cartilage pierced and after doing everything they told me to do in after care, it turns out my ear swelled so much the tiny earring that was originally put on was too tight and my ear had no room to swell, the earring started to sink into my ear leaving a big crater. I had to go to a professional piercing place and they informed me the earring was too small for my ear and Claire's had also pierced it wrong, piercing way too much tissue. The use of piercing guns that are used at Claire's don't allow for any swelling. I urge you to read more about piercing guns. A professional place will never use those guns. My ear is fixed but took 2 months of a lot of pain. I had to get the earring taken out right away and replace it with a proper barbell not a butterfly earring from the 90's like they use at Claire's, a one size fits all. Please do your research, unlike me I learned from this very painful mistake. read more

Apparently this is the place to get kids ears pierced...unfortunately. Both my daughters had their ears pierced there recently. We were told leave the earrings in for 21 days before changing them. We waited 25 days, upon taking an earring out the hole closed immediately! We went back and they were not surprised at all and said that 21 days is the minimum time to wait... They had no remorse, they charged full price to redo one ear that would have been fine had they been remotely clear about when to change the earrings. All they said originally was wait 21 days. Now the whole story changed. This was a big deal for my daughter. They deserve a credit card dispute and a lot more hasslle than just a bad review. I hope competition is able to become the replacement earpiercing goto as there is nothing special about this place at all. The employees are lackluster at best and I would never spend a dollar there again. Please don't go there bc that is what everyone else does, give another business a chance to raise the bar. read more
