This Claire's is located in the Thousand Oaks mall . It's closer to the food court entrance. Today I wanted to get my ears pierced. When I first entered I noticed how super clean this store was, it's very bright in here, you can see everything crystal clear. It's highly organized with attention to details. Today I was greeted by two wonderful Ladies Alejandra & Sarah. They asked me if I had any questions, which I did. I was looking for earrings that had Hydroponic allergy in them . I was able to find 2 called Titanium gold, which of course I picked the bigger one. They answered ally my question beautifully! This jewelry store has so much other thing than jewelry, stuff animals key chains , candy, backpacks, water bottles , rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, head bands, bow ties , lip gloss, makeup accessories, hair clip ons, tutus, bags. I call it a mixture for all ages and so many selections! There price points are spot on , with my new piercings of both ears I got a solution which came included. They told me if I bought something too I would get an extra 20% off so I did . I got a stuff animals a capybara!! So everything in total was a $77.20, which I think nowadays that's a great deal! Sarah is the one that actually pierced my ears she was so polite, sweet down to earth, highly knowledgeable, kind, caring. Sarah has this positive upbeat personality that really radiates! She is your Rare Diamond!!! Her sparkle will never fade! Please treasure her greatly! I would also like to thank Alejandra too for being so sweet too! Both of these beautiful ladies are very knowledgeable & with great expertise! I would love to especially Thank Sarah for my fantastic memorable visit! I would also like to Thank Alejandra for a wonderful visit ! I'll be back again if I ever get 2 more ears pierced!!! Thank you Claire's! I'll definitely tell all my Family and Friends to come here!! Please be kind & courteous to these hard workers! read more

Wasted $100 on ear piercings and "after care kits" when we could have gone home with one kit to share for the both of us. And my son's ear piercings were so crooked and they became infected within a week even with rigorous after care. My piercing rejected 2 weeks after. read more

Took my 6-month-old to Claire's for ear piercings, and wow... I wish we had come here first instead of Kay Jewelers. The experience was a total 180. Sabrina was incredibly patient and gentle with my baby, and she made the whole thing feel calm and stress-free. She explained everything, took her time lining things up perfectly, and made sure we were comfortable the entire way. The actual piercing was super fast and way easier than our experience at Kay. Baby barely fussed, and we were in and out before we knew it. The aftercare instructions were simple and clear too. If you're nervous about getting your baby's ears pierced, go to Claire's and ask for Sabrina. She's a pro, and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend! read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Rachel was the only one working today and she was absolutely amazing! My daughter was very nervous about getting her second ear piercings, but Rachel explained every detail and the entire piercing process to her to where it calmed my daughter down. Rachel is definitely a perfectionist when it comes to piercing and making sure the placements of the holes are perfect before proceeding. We could have not been more pleased with the outcome! We drove all the way from Sherman Oaks to see Rachel at Thousand Oaks. We appreciate Rachel's experience when we brought our 9 yr old daughter to get her ears pierced. Rachel and her assistant pierced both ears at the same time, minimizing the number of times our daughter would have to endure the discomfort. They sanitized their counter and the earring "triggers. Being our first time, it was nice to know that the earrings (in its cartridge) was sterile out of the box. Fast, safe, great experience....ask for Rachel next time you're there for a piercing! read more

Worst customer service in the area. They have no interest in helping customers or keeping the store clean.

Rachel did an amazing job piercing my daughter's ears, they were off set from her original piercing at justice years ago. Rachel fixed the alignment of the original Piercing and put my daughter at ease throughout out entire time in the store read more

We pierced my 3 year old daughter's ear today at this location and I'm so impressed! I called ahead and asked a lot of questions about the procedure. Rachel was so kind and patient through out the whole process. She did an amazing job helping my little girl stay calm. Rachel is extremely talented and I can't recommend her enough. Please share this with her. She deserves all the praise and is very deserving of all the positive reviews here on Yelp. It's hard to find associates who care so much about what they do! Thank you Rachel and the entire Claire's team in TO! read more

Rachel, the fantastic artist at Claire's in Thousand Oaks, is meticulous. She takes great pride in communicating with you about the area where she feels the piercing will look stunning. Her attention to detail in placement and her upbeat personality make the process enjoyable. If you want a professional ear piercing, Rachael is the one to go to. I had three piercings in the cartilage area, and I felt no discomfort. I love it!!! I can't wait to add some additions. LaNique ~~~~~~~76 read more

The lady who pierced my ears the sweetest person ever. She made sure that I was comfortable and has been piercing for 9 years. She also spent time helping choose other earrings after the piercing and gave advice on looking for earrings after. read more

Went in to see if I could get ears pierced. Rachel was at the register and immediately gave me a warm smile and made me feel at ease. We picked out a pair of earrings and she explained the process. She was so patient and kind. Waited until I was ready and it was over in a flash. I recommend Clair's and especially Rachel. Coming back with my niece when she's ready. Will do it only when Rachel is there. Kindness goes a long way. Thanks so much Rachel. read more

Went in to Claire's last night for my daughters 5th birthday. We decided to make it a girls day and both my daughters (5,13) and myself got our ears pierced for the first time. Both my girls were very nervous and hesitant. Melanie was terrific. She talked with us and helped us choose the right earrings and placement. Because the store was sufficiently staffed, they were able to do both ears at the same time for both of my nervous girls. Everything was quick and painless. Thank you so much for taking the time to make our experience so special! read more

So let me start off by saying that I had written a review with my experience a few months ago, one of the old employees who claimed to be a manager when she wasn't, was rude and didn't care to resolve my issue. She actually made it worse and I hope she was fired, since she deserves nothing but to treated as poorly as she chooses to treat people/customers. I would love to address her by name but I don't know her name. Which she is very lucky in that case. Anyway the actual real manager, Rachel is amazing. She actually cares about her job and the customers as well as their experience. As a manager should. She reached out to me recently in regards to my review and expressed how unhappy she was with what she read. She didn't just apologize for my experience but she wanted to try to resolve it. She asked me to call her to speak with her directly and of course I was more than happy to do so. I spoke to Rachel and came in the store when she was there. She went above and beyond and made sure I was more than taken care of. She is the only reason I updated my review, which is a huge deal. From a 1 star review to a solid 5! Rachel is the perfect example of what a store manager should be. She is an asset and exceeds expectations. I really appreciated her making the effort to try to reach out to me, hoping to fix my experience. She figured the worst that could happen is I didn't respond or wasn't willing to give her the chance to fix the issue and make it right but I obviously was more than happy to do so. The fact is she tried and succeeded. I hope that the Claire's Corporate sees this review and realizes how valuable Rachel is as one of their employees. (If they don't already know.) My review is pure proof of that. Thanks again Rachel! read more

Highly recommend getting your baby's ears pierced here! I have a 7 month old and Rachel and her assistant did them at the same time and did an amazing job. They are both so nice and experienced. Was so nervous but they made me and my baby feel so much better. They were patient and very kind. They disinfected everything so it was super clean and sanitized. They have a great selection of piercings too for very affordable prices. Will definitely be coming back for more products and piercings. read more

I have gone several times to get my ears pierced. I've been very lucky to have Rachel (the manager) do most of them. She's the best! She knows what she's doing, she's efficient and knowledgeable. She makes sure everything is clean and I'm happy with my piercings. She's so friendly and remembers me when I come. I love all my piercings and highly recommend having Rachel do them. We took our little girl here for her first ear piercing, she was really nervous but Mary helped her through the whole process. I'd definitely recommend coming here if it's your first time the girls here are very experienced! read more

My 9 year old got her ears pierced yesterday and it was a great experience. She was super nervous and the girls did a great job of easing her fears. Everything was clean and sterile. Two girls pierced her ears together to avoid doing one ear at a time. Her ears looked Great afterwards, not red at all. She woke the next morning to earring holes that look perfect, no sign of infection or pain. The only warning is the war cleaning solution could stain your clothing. We didn't realize this and her new blue shirt has small bleached spots where it dropped down from her ears. We would totally recommend Claire's. read more

Seriously so lame. Got my daughter a pair of earrings. She is allergic to the silver metal earrings so asked the girl at the register if they had any gold or white gold ones. The girl was very friendly and took us to where the piercing station was and showed us some white gold ones. My daughter picked out one she liked and we paid for it. After going to a few more stores she found something else and changed her mind. We took the earrings back to Claire's and the girl asked what was wrong. Said nothing we just changed our mind. She said sorry these are final sales and not returnable because they are for piercing. I said we just bought it without the piercing. She said sorry but no. I can understand the policy because for sanitary reasons it's already opened and I wouldn't personally want someone to use an open package to pierce my child's ears. It just really bothered me that at time of purchase the girl should have the decency to tell us these are not returnable and final. For $55 that would have been appreciated. Also the attitude the girl gave when we asked to return it was very unnecessary. read more

Rachel is a piercing queen. I went with a mom friend to get a closed earlobe repierced. I was panicking inside but she was so good at distracting me with some personal stories. She described aftercare both before and after the piercing - they also give a cleaning solution with your piercing. I was in stitches the whole time, except during the piercing itself when I full on screamed like I was on a rollercoaster. Rachel, girl you are the best ever!!! read more

Getting ears pierced? Walk away! I had my cartilage pierced and after doing everything they told me to do in after care, it turns out my ear swelled so much the tiny earring that was originally put on was too tight and my ear had no room to swell, the earring started to sink into my ear leaving a big crater. I had to go to a professional piercing place and they informed me the earring was too small for my ear and Claire's had also pierced it wrong, piercing way too much tissue. The use of piercing guns that are used at Claire's don't allow for any swelling. I urge you to read more about piercing guns. A professional place will never use those guns. My ear is fixed but took 2 months of a lot of pain. I had to get the earring taken out right away and replace it with a proper barbell not a butterfly earring from the 90's like they use at Claire's, a one size fits all. Please do your research, unlike me I learned from this very painful mistake. read more

Apparently this is the place to get kids ears pierced...unfortunately. Both my daughters had their ears pierced there recently. We were told leave the earrings in for 21 days before changing them. We waited 25 days, upon taking an earring out the hole closed immediately! We went back and they were not surprised at all and said that 21 days is the minimum time to wait... They had no remorse, they charged full price to redo one ear that would have been fine had they been remotely clear about when to change the earrings. All they said originally was wait 21 days. Now the whole story changed. This was a big deal for my daughter. They deserve a credit card dispute and a lot more hasslle than just a bad review. I hope competition is able to become the replacement earpiercing goto as there is nothing special about this place at all. The employees are lackluster at best and I would never spend a dollar there again. Please don't go there bc that is what everyone else does, give another business a chance to raise the bar. read more
