I only visit this store for the children shoes although I've been assured by a relative that the…read morewoman's shoes and accessories on the second floor are very good, but for the purposes of the review I will be focusing on the children department. The store appears to be quite compact and there is a small step to enter it. There's not a lot of room downstairs to fit many customers let alone buggies so i'd avoid entering if it looks busy and maybe go back later. However the good think about this being an independent shoe shop is that you get the benefit of choice between Clarks and Start Rite (as well as other popular brands such as lelli kelly etc) It's worthwhile to note that they do have a loyalty scheme in the kids department where you buy x amount of shoes and get one pair free, which is an obvious incentive for you to shop there and a very welcome one at that due to how fast kids feet grow! However, apart from the size my main gripe with this shop is the staff. Whilst shopping in there they'd left piles of boxes right near the shoe display and on the already narrow floor in front of it a very obvious hazard. My son tripped on it and grazed the skin off of his forehead head resulting in tears and a very shocked little boy. The staff did not apologise for the hazard THEY left there and nor did they show any concern for his well being. I had to ask, twice, for an antiseptic wipe. They were well aware of what had happened, they witnessed it and yet they made no effort to do anything about it and there was no mention of an accident report book which would have been whipped out pretty quickly by one of the better known competitor chains. This in my eyes in sheer unacceptable and is the main reason I would NOT shop here again. Customer service is vital to any retail outlet and here it is painfully lacking.

This market has everything you could ever want, I have never seen a market so big, they sell hot…read moreroast beef barms which are absolutely delicious it is worth going just for one of them. also black puddings are the nicest by far. the prices are so reasonable, so take plenty money as you will be tempted. Whatever you are looking for you will find it here at Bury market, the stalls sell everything from food, rugs, cushions habadashery, foam, pictures, bedding, clothes, shoes, handbags, I could go on and on. When you have made you way through all the stalls, there is an indoor market with even more stalls selling simple everyday items to the more hard to find goods. There are plenty of little cafes to have lunch at very reasonable prices. I know that people travel from far to go to this market it is one of the best ones in the country. The parking lot is across the road from Bury market but after you have parked you can go through the underground pathway to the market and do not have to cross the busy main road.

Bury Market. World famous, apparently. I'm somewhat doubtful about the world famous claims, though…read moreit is an excellent market. Whatever you might need, for household items, or food shopping its all here, and all at great prices. The various meat, cheese and bakery stalls are amazing. The quality of the food is always top notch, everything is so fresh as its coming straight to the market from the manufacturer or supplier. My main problem is that I always end up going home with a pile of chocolate and cakes because the prices seem too good to be true!! Then theres Black puddings! This is the home of the Black pudding and if you like them, theres nothing better than a freshly cooked one eaten outdoors with lashings of tomato ketchup. Theres a couple of stalls in the outdoor market selling them. The layout of the market is somewhat haphazard, but for a very occasional visitor like myself, its nice to just wonder around taking it all in. I'm sure there are parts I've missed though. The location of the market is very convenient for public transportation, being right next to Bury Interchange which houses a bus station and a Metrolink tram station.

River Island is underestimated in it's quality and design and is always worthy of a trip inside…read more The store is bright, warm and welcoming with a good use of space. They have a great selection of clothing, accessories and footwear all in well maintained and well thought out layouts. The clothing is contemporary and fashionable and on the affordable end of the spectrum in line with places such as top shop and Miss Selfridges.

Now we…read morehave you, let's ignore you, insult you a little bit, be all aloof and self important....oh and now that we've forgotten we're sales assistants....all our customers go bye byes I find River Island to be overpriced and over rated. It tends to be more expensive than Topshop and it's poorer in the quality department. I also find it to be tacky too in design. The best bits about River Island are the jeans if you pay a bit extra for them, but then you start to think "hang on i'm chuffin forking out 60 quid for a pair of River Island jeans and I could have a pair of Levi's or summat ere" and so on and so forth as the prices escalate, this goes the same way for the shoes and the hand bags and such too. Plus you see that annoying trend where people of school age wear their River Island shopping bags as fashion accessories, which becomes an irritation for no apparent reason to do with the review itself it's just irksome. The staff always seem to be either rushing around with no given purpose or looking at reflecting surfaces and playing at being all aloof. Meh. Seen better for less, and paid less for better quality.
