Despite only being a small store, the Accessorize branch in Burnley is stocked from floor to ceiling with all sorts of pretty accessories including jewellery, hair accessories, handbags, shows, scarves etc. The prices are a little higher than other shops selling similar items but this is reflected in the quality and selection of items available. The store also has a very grown up feel about it and, although there is a limited selection of children's items, the majority of the items are expensive and tasteful enough to be for adults only. The store is well laid out with the jewellery being separated into different colours and themes. This makes it easier to find something to match your new red dress or a gift for your friend with a penchant for boho accessories since similar items are grouped together. My only qualm with Accessorize, besides perhaps the high prices, is the fact that the store is a little cramped with free standing displays as well as shelving on all the walls. At busy times, this can make browsing difficult and it would definitely be a struggle for anyone with a pram. One final thing to point out whilst I forget is the sales! Accessorize have fantastic sales with up to 70% off a wide range of items, so it's well worth stocking up if you spot a sale sign in the window as my previous bargains have included a pair of shoes for £3 and lots of jewellery items for 50p.

This shop sells everything you could imagine such as affordable jewellery, scarves and bags. It is a mecca for young girls as one would generally expect and is almost like walking into a sweet shop because everything is appealing, shiny and colourful with no shortage of any particular item. They have a huge range of jewellery which is displayed clearly in sections of themes and colours, making it easy to find the perfect item. They have an excellent range of items for the holidays such as sunglasses, sarongs, hats and bags. They are not the cheapest you will find in the city centre but they are of a good quality and will last longer than cheaper alternatives. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They are more than happy to suggest something for you if you are a bit lost in the massive choice available here.

Some of the bags are literally as good as new. The older the collection the cheaper the price usually (unless it's Chanel...of course). All bags are checked for authenticity so you can rest assured you're buying a genuine item. The staff couldn't be nicer, and they're not pretentious or overbearing so I often just go in for a browse without any pressure to buy. Golden purchase - a hand embroided, leather Dior bag. And true to what appears to be the tradition of these shops, every available inch of space is used to display their wares. There are little niches barely wide enough to squeeze down covered floor to ceiling in hair pieces. Bizarrely one of these niches had a car tyre stowed in amongst the shiny packets of hair and one of the display hooks had been used to hang somebody's leather jacket...weird. Due to their clever use of space Busy B manages to pack a heck of a lot into a relatively small space, and thus caters well for most hair-piece related requirements. They also stock a range of makeup and nail varnish. The staff seem very helpful and friendly so if you find yourself confused by the huge range of products on offer they will steer you in the right direction.

The items you will find here range from hair bands to bobbles (apparently that is the correct term here in UK for "hair elastic," oddly enough), bows, ribbons, clips, claws, etc. You name it, it's probably here. They are cheap, though, so don't expect them to come with a life-time warranty. (Or even a 2-minute one, for that matter!)
