Not only is Dr. Claire Stagg's practice mercury-free, it is also fluoride-free. She discourages the use of fluoride products. Once I stopped using fluoride products, the demineralization of my teeth sped up. She suggests a gel with xylitol and calcium glycerophosphate (Spry Moisturizing Mouth Gel) to help with remineralization. Previously, she recommended a toothpaste that didn't contain hydroxyapatite (Spry Toothpaste). Now she recommends Risewell Pro, which does contain hydroxyapatite. Hydroxyapatite can help with remineralization. Dr. Claire Stagg frequently attends continuing education workshops and is up-to-date with the latest treatment options. She sells different health care products from her office. Don't feel pressure to buy from her. You can research the suggested product yourself. If you decide to use the product she suggests you can go back to her office to purchase. I started to go to Dr. Claire Stagg because my husband was worried about my snoring. Absolutely one of the best experiences I've had in years with a dentist. Dr Stagg is such a beautiful soul who desires to help people, one client at a time. She's very detailed so you have no questions unanswered and you understand completely every step from where you are and what she recommends going forward. You decide the path, but she's here to help you the best she can and make recommendations when it falls outside her area of expertise. She's truly focused on whole body health. I am so glad to have found this office. Claire has an impressive education and background, and she understands how a person's bite, posture, and breathing are all connected. No other dentist of mine has mentioned that my "yin yang" bite could be the cause of some wear and tear on my molars, and she came up with a treatment plan that includes correcting my bite. My previous dentist just wanted to slap a few crowns on those teeth and call it a (pay)day. Claire has a more conservative approach to treatments, and her values are aligned with people who prefer holistic healthcare. I also like their energy of the office, with its uplifting decor. A far cry from your run-of-the-mill dentist office that has no character. I have been a patient of Dr. Stagg's since June, 2016 when I found her in a search for a biological dentist to remove my old fillings. Following a first INTENSIVE examination and an explanation of the path Dr. Stagg recommended for my complete well-being, we scheduled a three-hour appointment to get a complete diagnosis. Dr. Staff was up-front about the costs (which WERE higher than I had expected) and offered me financing to get me through the entire program. I am now at the 8-month mark. Here is what I hear from people: - my mom says I look more rested and younger (and this is after my husband's sudden death in September). - my colleagues ask me if I have had a 'something' done to my face - my brother (!) who hardly ever says anything nice comments on how white my teeth are - my son (ditto like my brother) tells me that my smile really lights up a room. So I don't plan on visiting any other dentist any time in the future. I have now had a deviated septum surgery which allows me to sleep more comfortably, both a top and a bottom device especially made to widen my tight palate and my fillings replaced. I feel and look younger and credit Dr. Stagg and her wonderful staff with making me far more healthy than I would be. By the way, I celebrated my 70th birthday in December ... so I guess you can imagine how many dentists I have used over the years! read more

I explained the exact reason for my young daughters visit when making the appointment. They assured me the Dr. could handle the issue for a child my daughters age. I arrive and the staff is lovely. Very polite and helpful DESPITE the constant negativity and belittling they receive from the Dr. The hygienist/assistant was also very polite, gentle and patient with my daughter. The Dr finally enters the room and while she's polite to my daughter, the entire experience was incredibly traumatizing for her. The Dr. spends the entire time talking about my daughters throat closing while she's sleeping, how important breathing is (because her tonsils were swollen), discussing how she'll need surgery (what?! she is supposed to be a holistic dentist....), how this tooth needs to be pulled, etc. IN FRONT of my small child! By the end of the so called "exam", my daughter was shaking and in tears. The Dr. tells me she can't do anything that my daughter needs and proceeds to push us off on our old dentist (over 1 1/2 hours away), our primary care doctor and ANOTHER doctor she "recommends". The Dr. did not xray my child's teeth, nor did she clean them (which was the purpose of the visit). She looked at the teeth, did a few measurements and for this I was charged over $140. As I was exiting to pay the bill, I got to experience, yet again, the poor treatment of her staff. She proceeds to reprimand them in her office (directly behind the check out counter) loud enough for us to hear the entire conversation. This was the 3rd time the Dr. did this to her staff during our visit. Stagg claims to be a holistic dentist however she is the exact opposite. While she may carry and recommend holistic products in her office, her recommendations of non-holistic dental treatments (surgery, root canals, dye for the teeth, etc) and her bashing of holistic medicine overwhelms a client. I should've been told she would refuse to see a child, when I clearly explained the dental issue we were facing on the phone. I paid way too much for her to just terrify my 7 year old. The worst dental experience ever -- I will never return. read more

She is a jack of all trades and a master of none. I brought my child in to this woman for a simple cleaning, and left with a diagnosis of gingivitis, TMJ, multiple cavities, and a need for gum irrigation. She also tried to sell me a water pick because Lord knows this woman needs all the business she can get. She also said my child with perfectly straight teeth needed braces and could do the orthodontics work herself even though she is NOT A REGISTERED ORTHODONTIST. She tried to get me for anything that she could and took up hours of my time explaining unnecessary procedures. Don't waste your time or your money. Simply put, she's dangerous. read more

I was shocked after reading the reviews on here. I am a patient of Dr. Stagg's and I have had nothing but GOOD experiences at that office. I have never had someone spend that much time with me at an appointment and she actually LISTENED to my concerns and questions and answered EVERYTHING for me. She knows what she is talking about, I would not trust ANY ONE else with my mouth ever again. I'm really into the whole holistic approach and she helped me see how everything health wise is connected. She seems to really put her ALL into every visit that I am there. I use a lot of the homeopathic products that only that office carries (cant seem to find them anywhere else) and the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and nice. Again, I have only had positive experiences here so I guess to each their own! If you want QUALITY care and home-like office feel, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
