I just wanted someone to hear me out, and he sounded like I just was wasting my time even talking to him. I wish it turned out better but he did have some good information, which I'll take into consideration but he's just like "well, obviously I'd need more information and it's probably not going to turn out how you want it to turn out so there's your answer" pretty much.

From the first phone call, starting with the receptionist and then my consultation with Burton & Reardon, I felt care and concern that differentiated this team from my previous experiences with others. Usually my ex tries to drag cases on forever, but with Burton & Reardon we were able to get things signed and done quickly. My review is long overdue. I retained Michael Burton in March 2025 to represent me in a…read morehigh-conflict custody matter and also in a related TPO matter. My experience during the approximately four weeks of representation was extremely disappointing. Early in the representation, Mr. Burton strongly recommended that I request a change of judge in my existing case. I followed that recommendation and subsequently had significant concerns regarding the proceedings before the newly assigned judge, including my experience that I was not given an adequate opportunity to speak during the hearing. I ultimately regretted following the recommendation to change judges. In the TPO matter, I was particularly concerned about the level of preparation. Approximately five minutes before the hearing, I observed Mr. Burton working on notes for the matter. From my perspective as the client, I expected my attorney to be substantially prepared in advance for a hearing involving an existing protective order. I also did not recall being advised that pursuing the TPO matter was not worthwhile before the hearing. I also experienced what I considered to be significant organizational and communication problems during the representation. Work was, in my experience, frequently handled very close to deadlines, including an opposition response for which I was concerned about meeting the applicable deadline. Mr. Burton's public response to my review also states that I received a "complete refund" and that he "voluntarily refunded every dollar she had paid." I dispute that statement. My records show that I paid $4,000.00 and received a refund of $2,063.00, leaving a difference of $1,937.00. I have retained the payment and refund documentation supporting these amounts. Contrary to his narrative, two eyewitnesses can confirm I arrived 25 minutes early to court, where Mr. Burton appeared without a single document or piece of evidence prepared. I also dispute statements in his response concerning my character and suggesting that I have recurring conflicts or that my recollection of events is unreliable. Those statements do not reflect my experience and are not supported by the facts and documentation relating to my representation. This review reflects my personal experience as a former client and the records I retained concerning the representation and payments. Based on that experience, I would not recommend Mr. Burton for anyone's legal matters. A brief look over of Mr. Burtons's responses to critical client reviews on yelp and other pages further proves a well-established pattern of volatile temperament, deficient self-awareness, and a pervasive lack of professional accountability. Rather than adhering to the ethical standards expected of a licensed practitioner, Mr. Burton consistently engages in retaliatory, unprofessional conduct that undermines the integrity of the legal profession.

I prepaid for a one-hour consultation with Molly Rosenblum. Unfortunately, I arrived approximately 30 minutes late due to mistakenly writing down the incorrect time. The front desk staff kindly informed me I could still proceed with the consultation, but I would be charged for the full hour. I completely understood and accepted this, as the error was on my part. However, when Molly entered the room, her demeanor immediately felt cold and dismissive. It was clear to me that my tardiness had set a negative tone. I began to explain my situation--being a wife and mother of 17 years who was now seeking a divorce, along with child support and alimony. To my surprise, her response was not only discouraging, but also dismissive of the considerable evidence I had gathered. She strongly advised me to "try to work out a fair amount " with my husband, citing the fact that his income "couldn't be proven," despite the documentation I had prepared. I left the consultation feeling uneasy and defeated, questioning whether I even had a case. Thankfully, I decided to seek a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did. With the support of a different attorney and a diligent paralegal, I was ultimately I got both child support and alimony. Everything Molly claimed I wouldn't be able to obtain--was proven wrong. While I understand that attorneys may have different approaches and strategies, I believe that consultations should leave clients feeling heard, respected, and empowered--not discouraged. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Molly Rosenblum.
