We stay at Clabough's every year. We love this place. Two pools, a lazy river, everything a kid could want.

Buddy Bear is no "Buddy" to smaller-sized travel trailers…read more I recently stayed 3 nights (Dec 27 - Dec 30) at Buddy Bear RV Campground and was very disappointed with what transpired. I booked my stay from their webpage and received a confirmation email on December 15th for Site #4 which is the one I reserved. Site #4 is a premium site according to the website and it costs a bit more than a regular site. My fiancée and I wanted to stay along the river and at the time that was the only site available along the river. The day I arrived for my stay, Dec 27th, I received an email at 12:37 PM, So around check-in time, stating I was moved to site #21 which is a regular site and not along the river. It is also not large enough for a travel trailer and the towing vehicle to park in. I asked the manager lady why I was moved to a different site and was met with the following responses: "We try to put smaller campers in the smaller sites and save the bigger ones for potential larger campers to rent out." "It's a very common thing, we've been doing this for 30 years and you guys are new campers you'll see." "Park your vehicle over behind the dumpsters if it won't fit at your new smaller site." "The river is still close by as it's just across the street." "You should lock in the site if you want it that bad but it will cost extra." (There isn't an option on the website to Lock-In a site) Someone was already residing in site #4 upon my arrival, I can only conclude they extended their stay and the managers or owners didn't want to move them and figured it would be easier to move me. When we asked for a refund of the difference between the premium site and the regular site I was informed there were no refunds. I also asked to be moved to a different site along the river as there were 5 available at the time of my arrival. The site's 5/7/9/10/11 were all available still and along the river. I was informed that they were all booked up for the holidays and there was nowhere else to put me. Once we kept asking for the refund difference, ONLY THEN, did a premium site magically become available for use. Site #18 is not by the river but at least a large spot for my travel camper and tow vehicle. They had to inform the tenant on site #17 to move his extra vehicles from the site so I could use it. To be clear, they were going to put me in a smaller site, and not give me a refund of the difference before telling someone else to move their extra vehicles from a site they weren't paying for. At the end of the day, I stayed in a "premium site" although it wasn't near the river like I wanted. But we are at least even financially. The morning I was packing up my travel trailer to depart, DEC 30, I took another lap around and wouldn't you know, Premium Site #9 along the river was never booked or used from the moment I showed up until the moment I left. This means they lied about being "completely booked up for the Holidays" We will never be staying here again. My Mother and her Husband won't be, my fiancée and her family won't be either, nor will some of my Army buddies when we take group trips in our campers. From now on we will be staying at Ripplin Waters, it's $57.50 a night there or $60 during holidays so also more budget-friendly! They have over 150 sites with more than 40 along the river. Best of all THEY WON'T MOVE YOU TO ANOTHER SITE OR DISCRIMINATE BASED ON THE SIZE OF YOUR CAMPER.

I think the name has changed to Buddy Bear and currently they are short staffed so everything like…read morecheck in is done virtual and with a code for the gate. I enjoyed this campground because it's by the river, small, quiet, and away from all the chaos of pigeon forge. However it's close enough to get to amenities and tourist areas if desired.

This campground is a new "resort" type layout. Being new, the trees are small throughout the park…read more It truely markets to a "resort" customer. So, there are standards on how old a camper can be. Yep, that sounds kind of harsh but it does keep the quality of the camping experience high. If you either object, or don't meet the standard, choose somewhere else. There are 74 parks in the Pigeon Forge market. The park borders the Little Pigeon River and is very scenic. It is really close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. All sites are paved and average size. Concrete pads are level, you won't need any blocks to get set up. Each site has full hook-ups and the connections are centrally located on each site so hook-ups should be easy no matter where your connections are. Power is stable, water pressure is excellent and water quality is good. Cable TV channels are plentiful. Restrooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Laundry facilities have state of the art LG washers and dryers. Park wifi is very good. Cell signals are very strong. If you're using satellite TV or StarLink Internet, you'll find most sites have excellent access. There is a large dog park for pet exercise. The developers did their homework when laying out the park as all site are easy access for even the biggest rigs. The outer ring of sites are back-in type with excellent angles to make easy parking of the rig. We camped at Pigeon Forge Landing RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Well, I did my research and this is definitely the campground where this happened. To be clear,…read morethis is the park located at 2479 Riverbend Loop, Unit 1, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863, just off of Henderson Chapel Road. This is the location with the central fishing pond that has the small island in the middle, the decorative 'old-timey' outhouse, and the little cabin where you sign in and they sell merchandise. I was here with my family around Winter 2019-2020. I was on my evening walk and saw a campground worker driving a golf cart up the steep hill. There was a family and their kids watching him drive recklessly. As he went around the bend and came back down, he hit a slope and the whole golf cart flipped over. The cart was headed straight for me; I could have stepped aside and let it crash, but I decided to be a nice person and save the cart from hitting people below. I stopped the cart and parked it. As I walked towards the worker to check if he was ok and see if I could help, his pants fell down, and the nearby family started pointing and laughing at him. The worker was a white male, about 6ft tall, heavyset with a scruffy beard. Later that night, while I was out taking pictures of the fireworks, he and a friend--a tall, skinny white male with long black hair about 6ft 2in--drove their golf carts past me at alarming speeds, flipped me off, and called me the N-word. I was only a freshman in high school at the time and was in a daze at what I had seen. I haven't had a lot of incidents like this so you can imagine my reaction. I called the office to report this, and the woman I spoke to was dismissive and tried to claim they don't have an island in their pond or that I have the wrong park. She even tried to claim I described a 'young man' when I never did--I specifically described a 6ft, heavyset man with a beard at the time that I was tell her this which is funny because he was a young man and thus proving my point that she knows exactly who he is. I know exactly where I was because of the specific layout of the island and the office cabin at this address. If these men are still employed here, they should be terminated. No guest, especially a teenager, should be subjected to racial slurs and harassment by staff.
