Made a bad mistake getting this guy. He exaggerated the difficulty of a routine plumbing task;…read moreJust as he exaggerated his bill! Turned up at times when it suited him not when we'd agreed, walking around the place like he owned it, prominently displaying his hard neck! Difficult from the start; He refused to give a written estimate even though asked for one constantly: "what do you need it for? Have you not got the money?". His eventual bill wasn't itemised, and nothing was costed, just a rambling account of what he'd done. Obviously the need to recoup lost Covid-19 earnings trumps integrity/customer satisfaction. Having checked with reputable plumbers, found the almost 2000 Euro he charged to replace a water cylinder, was grossly in excess of the going rate. It was almost worth it to see the back of him! Dun Laoghaire plumbing and Gerry Mc Govern (if there's a difference) will exploit your plumbing problems when an opportunity arises. Get 3 estimates before work starts, and don't be bounced in to dealing with unscrupulous tradesmen. Vic tim
