After looking at the website, I decided Peejays would be a safe spot. Just after 10 am, we walked into the shop and we got right in. A cut, edge and shave cost us £19, which was around $24 at the time. The barber was welcoming and made him feel like a regular. The location is easy to find. It's right on the corner. Peejay's is in a bright green color making it hard to miss. The only complaint I would have is that parking is non existent during the business work week. Street parking is permit only between the hours of 8-6 and the closest pay to park lot was more than full. But hey, we were in England. Parking isn't easily accessible in most places. I just waited in the car, in an illegal spot for the 30ish minutes while my man got cleaned up and we went on about our day.

I went here a few times years ago and got a half decent haircut, then one day as I wandered along the street after being rejected by the edge I saw this woman in flip flops sitting on a little chair outside smoking a fag. I needed a trim so wandered in, as I did she slowly headed my way and smelling like an ashtray she proceeded to cut my hair, I thought what the hell appearances can be deceiving. She made a right hack job of my hair, it took her 3 attempts to even get it half decent. After she had finished her lesson in butchery by Stevie Wonder (sorry Stevie) I asked how long had she been doing hair, at this point she looked at her watch! This woman has no real haircutting experience, so unless you want to look like Edmund Blackadder in series 1. Avoid here if the flip flop fag lady is outside.
