Ladies were pleasant and knowledgeable when ordering. The mid level review is due to wait time (an HOUR, no exaggeration) and food quality. When I inquired, they were very apologetic and accommodating with bonus dessert. Due to the weather and outside seating (food truck), we took our dinner home - 5 miles away - burger and mac n Chz were good, I'm guessing it was a bubba burger though. Shrimp was large and decent, o-rings soggy and cold - maybe sat too long waiting on other food. Crab cake was served on an excessive bed of lettuce, it had good flavor but overall just average. Coleslaw was literally made in front of us and had great flavor, would be amazing served cold. We saw many patrons come and go and if I had to guess pizza might be what they're known for to the locals. Seemed like they had ALOT of call in orders which I'm sure contributed to our wait. The dessert was amazing! Not sure I would go back but I'm glad we went today.

The place offers live music on the weekends and it's a favorite of locals. Great water views. The service is prompt and efficient. And the clincher, they don't fry anything which makes it heart healthy for those that are conscious about it. I had the grilled grouper sandwich a favorite of the locals, tasted fresh my wife had the scallops and she was very pleased. We will make this a regular spot. You should too.

Both were burnt, and a few ingredients were thrown on for garnishments. Nothing like the pictures showing ample meat or added ingredients advertised. Save your money, try another location, or buy a frozen pizza at IGA.

The best I can describe it, is that it has a retro-craft feel. I really dig it. Food comes out quick and is excellent. Bar tender and staff is friendly and chill. You can taste the cooking oil is kept clean, and is changed often by the fries and the smell. You can taste the food is made to order with real food. They also have cool events all the time. Like a poker night, and trivia night. I think the poker nights are Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and 8pm. It's a little hard to find, tucked behind another building, just off the main road. Carful parking the little lot in the back, they have a massive pot-hole thing... just go real slow. Always seem to meet the most interesting people there. Nelson's Burger Bar is the "misfit island of toys" of the burger scene. Infact "scene" is exactly the right word to describe it. This place is a total trip. Next time your craving a beer and good burger, get yourself over here.

It was big, but it was tasty and seemed like we had just cooked it on our grill outdoors. It was a nice, clean, bright space, and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back if we are in the area - craving a burger, hotdog, or sandwich - all of the sides/extras looked amazing as well. We will have to try those next time.

We ordered the fried calamari and the mixed grilled seafood plate. The calamari was chewy, flavorless, and the batter had an unpleasant texture. The mixed seafood plate was even worse - the oysters looked, smelled, and tasted awful, and the fish, shrimp, stuffed crab and scallops were completely bland. Even the fried okra, which should be an easy Southern staple, was disappointing. We left wondering if they changed chefs or management because the difference from our first experience was shocking. Even my mom, who is far from a picky eater, could barely eat her food. It's genuinely upsetting because this used to be a place we loved and enthusiastically recommended to others.
