I had a far more serious issue two months ago. My water heater burst.... I heard a loud noise one late Friday afternoon and I walked into my garage to see water coming from the closet that houses my water heater, water softener and furnace. The heater had definitely burst and so I called Alltek for help. They guided me on the phone on what I needed to do to shut the water off to the heater and then someone came the next day. I obviously needed a new one. They could have installed a tank water heater that day but I decided to wait till they got a tankless in snd upgrade, just a few day wait. Once they got the tankless water heater, I had constant non-interrupted hot water. Didn't get it for a bad price either and it will eventually pay for itself in lower power and water bills. Service from Alltek cant be beat! They were there when my family needed them.

While there, we tried to discuss another issue with our plumbing. We were concerned with our kitchen and bathroom sink as our kitchen sink was not draining. They apparently took a look and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong, and gave us a quote of $600 just for the leak in the crawlspace. After they left, I discussed with my husband and then decided to give them a call back. They confirmed with me over the phone that there was nothing wrong with my kitchen and bathroom sink... Despite it still not draining. I was going to go with them until they made a comment about they would only work on my house as long as it did not smell of marijuana (we're not even smokers). Ironic, as the man that was out to my house reeked of cigarettes. I decided to cancel my Scheduling to get some more quotes. I got two more quotes to be exact. Both of the other quotes that I got, confirmed there was something wrong with my kitchen and bathroom sink. Their quotes were obviously higher than Dotson heating and plumbing because they were charging me for a major fix that Dotson heating and plumbing overlooked. Overall, I'm so glad I chose not to go with them. The lady I spoke with over the phone was very polite. But they're overall manner and insult on my house and my husband was extremely rude. They overlooked an extreme issue that could've caused me a bigger issue in the future. Will pay more money any day for someone to come out and give me an honest quote and honest work.

He was mad at his employees, the tight space, and the inconvenience on a Friday, and he was not holding it back. The amount of times I (and my young child) heard the f word and that he was going to quit the job blew my mind. It was very clear and there was no confusion about what was being said. I can't help that my house is older, that a smaller person wasn't available to get into the tight space, or the fact it happened on a Friday. The "finished" job was shoddy, and will be fixed by someone else. After the last employee "cleaned up" we picked up drink bottles, supplies, and rocks through the basement. If you don't mind unprofessional, vulgar language and attitudes and having to fix things and clean up, then this may be your solution, but we will not be calling again. I would have rated two stars for how fast they came, but the fact that he told me over and over that he was marking this as an emergency. Just so unprofessional.

Absolutely terrible experience, the…read morecompany took $500+ from us after I have all the proof shown out on a silver platter for their head tech he still refuses to pay it back. Our first tech (Dave) comes out Monday to add refrigerant to our brand new never used and freshly installed multi zone mini split. His instructions were to pressure test and vacuum the linesets and if it passed then the top the system off with 1.6lbs of refrigerant as stated by the manufacturer for what we calculated for additional lineset installed. This unit was fully charged from factory plus 100' of lineset! Dave was knowledgeable and knew exactly what it needed but found a leak on lineset "A" and called me to tell me to fix that before he released the refrigerant into the linesets in which I went home and fixed that leak per his instructions that evening after work. So far everything was going as planned and the first issue was my fault as I didn't tighten the lineset down good enough at the ceiling cassette no biggy. I then called in the next day which they scheduled me for Friday but said a different tech would be out because Dave was going out on vacation. Jake (the second tech) shows up on Friday a little after 9 for the same procedure and attempt number 2 to get the 1.6lbs of refrigerant finally added. THEN by 9:25 he calls me (I'm at work) stating "hes not familiar with multi zones where do I hook into the unit at". I told him the top port is the main to fill and he said "I'm hooked to that and instantly getting 300+ psi" which now I'm confused but trust it as he's a tech and I throw out the idea about maybe he needs to open the linesets valves to he can perform the pressure test?? Idk man why you calling me to ask? Well the day goes by, he charged us for 11.7lbs of refrigerant, and then stated the system had absolutely no refrigerant in it. Which is absolutely wrong- what had happened is he hooked into the wrong location and released the pre charge then tried to charge us for the mistake. I had my wife pay the guy as they demanded payment right then and she's home by herself and didn't want her to have to have to confrontation. I brought this to their bosses attention Bob in which he doesn't care- they got their money and he of course has to have his guys backs or he loses them which is understandable but make it right. I have video, and all paperwork showing what unit it is and it's pre charged, you guys confirmed there was no leak at the condenser, and magically my pre charge is missing and I am paying over $500 in additional refrigerant now and that doesn't raise any red flags?
