Our water main broke and we were able to get them to come very quickly, which was appreciated. What…read morewas not appreciated was the language by not only the employees, but the owner once he got there. He was mad at his employees, the tight space, and the inconvenience on a Friday, and he was not holding it back. The amount of times I (and my young child) heard the f word and that he was going to quit the job blew my mind. It was very clear and there was no confusion about what was being said. I can't help that my house is older, that a smaller person wasn't available to get into the tight space, or the fact it happened on a Friday. The "finished" job was shoddy, and will be fixed by someone else. After the last employee "cleaned up" we picked up drink bottles, supplies, and rocks through the basement. If you don't mind unprofessional, vulgar language and attitudes and having to fix things and clean up, then this may be your solution, but we will not be calling again. I would have rated two stars for how fast they came, but the fact that he told me over and over that he was marking this as an emergency. Just so unprofessional.

On top of that, I bought him and his employee lunch. They moved everything into a storage unit and were finished by 4:00pm. After the move, he requested I pay him $1495. 3 and a half hours of work would have been $525. He told me he was charging me for 7 hours. How is it my fault that they were 2 and a half hours late? Why would I be charged for that? I understand paying for travel time but where did an extra $1000 charge come from? They are now unresponsive and I am working with my bank to dispute this payment. You are better off going with a professional company.

We hired Childress Restoration to soft wash, strip off the old stain, and reseal our loghome and…read moreshop. Soft washed in May, and didn't return until September. He had to soft wash again. Then he chemically stripped the house and building. The stripper also removed the paint from our gutters, drip edges,, and the finish off of all of door hardware. It stained the garage doors and all the other doors. Also all the outside lights were filled with the stripper water. As a result of all this, we had to have our gutters replaced, all doors repainted and hardware replaced, replaced the outdoor lights, had to take apart and clean all the storm doors. Needless to say we are really disappointed. It was a lot of money just to have it last less than 2 years. We do not recommend them to do a restoration on a loghome. They were not properly equipped to do this kind of job. We now have to start all over again. If you need someone to soft wash they are great for that.
