We went into Smoke 'Em Out Window Tinting to see about getting those two windows tinted in the same shade as the back ones so that all the side windows would look the same. It was really important to us that the front windows and the rear windows matched perfectly. We talked to John Phegley, Smoke 'Em Out's owner, and discussed our options. He was upfront and honest about the fact that he could get things pretty close, but because of the particular shading that Toyota uses on it's 4Runners, he'd be unable to get things to match perfectly. He could have easily just done what so many other places would have done and installed the tint he had and hope for the best, that we'd be satisfied with it, but he didn't. He turned us away. He wanted us to be happy and he knew, that given our needs, that he couldn't do what we wanted him to do. My wife and I came away deeply impressed by Mr. Phegley's honesty and integrity. He's an old school perfectionist who will not settle for a substandard job. He'll either do it perfectly, or he won't do it at all. This is a refreshing attitude in this day and age. Smoke "Em Out Window Tinting is a small local business run by an honest, ethical, hardworking guy. We recommend him for all your auto tinting needs. UPDATE: 04/10/17 We're starting to see some blemishes/flaws in a couple of different places on the side windows. We also discovered some scratches on the plastic trim by the rear window. This company removes the windows to tint them so that you don't see the line where the tint stops and this area was apparently damaged during the installation process.

Been going here for tint since my wife recommended it. She had several cars tinted here before my…read moretime. Recently they have done 2 cars for me PPF and tint. High quality jobs! Had a couple minor issues and no questions asked, fixed it right away. What's also nice about them is they've been in business for a LONG time (60's I believe). PPF and tint all come with long warranties and there is definitely peace of mind when taking your car to a shop that has been around for half a century. Prices are also very competitive.

Andrey and his team did a great job installing a ceramic film on my C43. I live in Bellingham, 60…read moremiles north of Lynnwood. I drove one hour both ways to get it done at Skyline, which I think tells you how badly wanted to get the windows tinted here. Here are pros and cons, followed by my advice. PROS + Andrey is responsive. He answers questions thoroughly and responds to emails quickly. + He is in this business for 20 some years, and he know the stuff. I went in thinking I will go with 35%, but he recommended 30% and advised against going any lighter than that. Initially, I was a bit worried that 30% would be too dark, but I'm glad I followed his advice. 30% is exactly what I wanted and looks great. It's like picking a paint color for your house. You would know until you see it on the house, but experienced professionals know what it will look like. + I thought the price was reasonable. I chose a single layer ceramic film by autobahn. It took them 4 hours to install it on my C43 coupe (side windows and the back). I paid $400 plus tax. With the quality of work and the time it took them, I don't think $400 is bad at all. + It was clear to me that customer experience was important to Andrey. He threw in a bottle of window cleaner made by autobahn for free. I found two really minor scratches on the passenger door (probably caused by finger nails, nothing deep). Instead of arguing with me he offered to buff them out. CONS - I can't think of anything. MY ADVICE @ If you need to kill time while they are working on your car, Alderwood Mall isn't too far. As I had 4 hours to kill, I walked there and back. It took me 40 minutes each way. Adjacent to the mall are H-Mart (Korean grocery store), Costco, and a couple of strip malls. @ As always, whenever you give your key to anyone, take pictures of the car. I usually take pictures and video tape the car. Although I didn't have to deal with it with Andrey, it's the only way to avoid your word against theirs. @ It comes with 3~5 days of curing time. During that, you cannot roll down your windows. Also, you may see some minor bubbles, but they are supposed to disappear. Once the curing time is over, I will post some photos.
