I took my first Bikram class in Seattle in 1999 and it's been part of my life ever since. I say that because I want to ensure you that my review is credible. I have practiced at numerous studios throughout the NW and Hawaii. This studio is top notch. The vibe is serene and direct. It smells delightfully free of heavy humidity and leftover body steam that so often seep into these facilities. The decor is minimal, which I believe lends so well to the austerity of this practice. And, most of all I appreciated Joanne's instruction. She provides the dialogue as it is meant to be. Often times instructors will fall into a pattern of performance when teaching... restraint and resisting the urge to use the class as a platform for entertainment rather than compassionate guidance... well, I truly appreciate this.

I typically go to the College of India studio in Bellevue, so I was pleased to find out that this studio is as nice (if not nicer) than the Bellevue Studio. The class was fairly full of devoted yogis, and the dressing rooms were spacious and had showers / bathrooms. The lobby decor was pleasant (they even had some after yoga treats/drinks!). Definitely check out this studio if you are looking for the best total body workout ever. You will become hooked after a few classes!

From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and supportive community made all the difference. Sonja and Gabbi meet you exactly where you are, and that encouragement helped me rebuild not just my routine, but my love for yoga. One of the most transformative experiences for me was completing their Yoga Teacher Training. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone in the best way possible and helped me build a level of confidence I didn't know I had. The training was thoughtful, thorough, and deeply rooted in all aspects of yoga. What makes this studio even more special now is how they've continued to support their community beyond the physical space. Having moved away, their online classes make it possible for me to stay involved and keep growing. Being able to practice with the same teachers and community, no matter where I am, has been incredibly meaningful. This studio truly supports your growth, both on and off the mat.

The sense of community is evident every time I walk through the door and I'm greeted with a smile by the instructor and other members. I have been struggling with an injury and I have asked for modifications in before starting class and I have received in class adjustments and feedback after class which is so valuable. Thank you for creating an environment that provides a safe space to land.

I recently asked to start a temporary membership even though I'll only be in the Tri-Cities for a short time due to a family emergency. Kudos to the business owner, Carrie; she was kind, responsive, and accommodating for my short-term membership needs. For three weeks, the Zumba, yoga, and strengthening group exercise classes I was able to attend provided me with a great outlet to rejuvenate and strengthen my body, calm my mind, and de-stress. When I used to live in the Tri-Cities, I was a member of this gym, and I can say that my membership here helped me to stay active and fit for my wedding. The staff is friendly, and there are a variety of classes to get you started on whatever goals you have set for yourself. The management is open to your input on how to make the gym/fitness classes work for you. FitforMe also organizes fundraising, social activities, and benefit events; their commitment to be a positive presence in their community is a big plus.

The instructors are experienced and make it fun while also making it challenging and often providing alternate moves for beginners. Each class seems to have at least one regular participant who offers help to newbies in getting set up for class, which is helpful because different classes use different items. They have a wide range of exercise equipment that you can use on your own, but I haven't tried any of them yet. I wish I lived closer so I could go in more often. Great place. I recommend it.
