Hubby gives it 5 stars. Why this man has started to smoke cigars at 57 is beyond me but...he has. An occasional "treat" he says! That said, we stopped in El Dorado Hills after a day in Placerville. Hubby and his friend found this cigar shop and declared it the perfect chance for them to enjoy a cigar while my friend and I go shop. Pretty smart marketing on his behalf. Large selection to fit your time, taste and budget. Very knowledgeable and friendly owner who found them exactly what they wanted, set them up outside, and overall made them wish we lived closer. Definitely recommend if you're a cigar lover. read more

What a great experience!!! I did not get the ladies name... my friend and I called in to see if they had a place to smoke a cigar, right outside the shop she said. We proceeded to the shop and she was super friendly, super knowledgeable... we ended up with a couple AVOs and she did the cut on them and lit them, both of which stayed lit the duration of the cigar, which is something we do not often experience at home...she provided us a nice ashtray and the value was on point. If we are in the area again, we would definitely make the stop again. Great overall experience. read more

I've visited CJ's Cigars in El Dorado Hills a total of six times. While the shop offers an impressive selection of quality cigars in a dedicated space free of vaping or alternative products, my experiences with the store owner have consistently made me feel unwelcome. On five of those visits, I was allowed into the humidor for only a few minutes before being closely monitored. As someone who appreciates the full cigar-buying experience, this created a rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite the visible security cameras-understandable in any retail setting-I took care to be respectful, standing away from the product with my arms folded and only approaching cigars I couldn't view clearly due to my height. Nonetheless, the owner's demeanor suggested suspicion rather than hospitality, ultimately leading me to walk out prematurely on more than one occasion. The one positive experience I had was with a male attendant who was courteous, informative, and allowed me to browse without pressure. He made the visit feel far more like the welcoming and engaging environment I'd hoped for. Given the number of other nearby cigar retailers in Folsom and Sacramento where I've never encountered this kind of treatment, I've decided I won't return to CJ's Cigars unless I know that particular staff member is present. read more

CJ's cigar and lighter shop is hands down, THE BEST cigar shop I've visited in a very long time! CJ, the shop's owner, is a very likable and considerate woman who knows how to take care of her customers. The selection is amazing, especially the lighters. The lighters are all very high quality, yet range in price from affordable to high-end. ($11.99-100+). The best part of buying from CJ, she offers complimentary lighter refills and a life-time warranty on all lighters! I had a minor issue with a lighter I purchased, and CJ insisted on replacing it free of charge, np questions asked. I was quite pleased and I'll return soon! Thanks CJ! read more

Discovered this cool little cigar shop last month when dining in El Dorado hills. My boyfriend loves a good cigar so of course we ventured in. The store has a great selection of cigars , tobacco, lighters, cutters, ash trays, and other accessories for cigar & pipe smoking . They stock a wide variety of high end to house cigars for every budget in mind. The store is sophisticated but not stuffy. This shop has a humidor which represents a stunning array of both premium and mid range priced cigars. They had every brand I covet and some boutique brands I am less familiar with, but the selection and display are exceptional. The owner, CJ, was both helpful and welcoming. She treated me as if I were a regular customer. I appreciated her patience and devotion to detail. I Could tell she loves what she does and the store reflects good taste with a bunch of small town hospitality. Her shop is a real gem. 2/17/20-Popped in here after noticing it while eating across the street for lunch. It reminded me of the old Tobacco Leaf shop in Stockton being fairly small and a nice lady behind the counter helping the customers. The selection is really good and the prices are fair. If you're not sure what you want, the lady there will gladly help you out. I overheard her tell another customer they had some new hand rolled cigars done by them so I gave those a shot too. I smoked their hand rolled cigar and it was nice for $7 a stick with a long ash. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely stop in! read more

last 50 years of on and off smoking cigars and pipe. I have been in many cigat lounges across the US. including all the fancy ones in Manhattan. from top brand name to independent all levels. CJ s. has an atmosphere that no other has and that is CJ hersef. she is so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. especially if you are new to cigars or pipe. she has a great selection and her brand smokes and great and if you like a bit spicy her maduro is delicious including the half and half. I now travel from San Francisco to a friends house to visit and exclusively by all my cigars from CJ. and spend a few hours talking and smoking with her. very relaxing read more

CJ is the only person I will buy cigars from. She is friendly and very knowledgeable. I always get overwhelmed when shopping for a cigar, but CJ does a great job making suggestions based on preferences. Today, I went to buy cigars for Father's Day and decided I finally needed to buy a little cigar box. Because I bought 6 cigars, she was generous and through a box in for free as well as a little packet that helps the maintain the humidity of the cigars. I always have a great experience. read more

Went in today to Adams Cigar shop and purchased several types of loose tobacco for my husbands new pipe. (My son had bought him a pipe for his bday but no tobacco.) CJ was super nice and suggested several different types of tobacco, showed me what type of lighter pipes use and gave me a really nice jar for him to keep everything in. This place is really nice inside and has all kinds of cigars in a vault like room to the right and then loose tobacco, lighters and much more smoking supplies behind the counter. They are experts in all things doing with cigars and have a large inventory. I'm always looking for a good cigar! - and there are plenty here. Stopped in here while I was checking out downtown El Dorado Hills. The place has a good setup and is pretty well stocked. The guy that was helping out seemed to know his cigars. Prices were pretty standard for any cigar shop. Not a cheap habit for sure! I would stop in again if I was in the area. read more

I stopped by to pick up some hookah supplies. They had a decent selection of tobacco but only 1 brand of coals and they were a little pricey. This is the most convenient place in edh that I have found to buy hookah supplies. My dad has picked up some cigars from Adams a few times and he said the selection is pretty good, the staff is very nice and helpful. He said the prices aren't the best but I think you're playing for the convenient location. The shop is right in the middle of town center and parking can be a hassle on weekend nights. There are a few tables outside that you can sit at and enjoy a cigar if you want. read more

Adam's is my go-to cigar shop in the Sac area. Prices are comparable to other stores, but CJ makes this store a destination. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and customer focused. No BS, just good advice on cigars. She knows what my cigar preferences are and expertly recommends new stuff when it comes in. I rarely get a recommendation I don't enjoy. She also cycles through different boutique brands so there are always new sticks to try that I might otherwise never experience. Good group of friendly regulars that you can join on a nice day. I visited Adams Cigar shop after seeing online he had tobacco pipes. Adam has a quality selection of tobacco pipes, great prices, and an incredible cigar selection. Unfortunately I don't smoke cigars, however, I have friends from out of state who enjoy great cigars. I told them the brands I saw and they were very impressed. This must be a new business as it's not been yelped yet. It apparently opens late as I went by twice and it was closed both times in the morning. There are no posted hours.
