The follow-up customer service has been disappointing, unfortunately…read more After waiting several months to have leaks in my new awnings addressed, and after experiencing multiple rainfall events that clearly demonstrated the system installed by Home Improvements by Tim Allard is not adequately configured to handle the water load, I contacted the office and sent several text messages to Tom. Unfortunately, the response time for follow-up service has been extremely delayed--measured in months rather than days or weeks. The gutters on the awnings installed by Home Improvements by Tim Allard overflow significantly during normal rainfall. Before purchasing and installing the two 62-foot awnings, I specifically asked whether the system would be capable of handling the expected surface water runoff. I was assured that it would. However, it does not. Eventually, Scott returned to inspect the issue and acknowledged both the overflow problem and the need for an additional downspout. I purchased these awnings with the expectation that they would include a complete and properly designed drainage system capable of performing their intended function. I am now being told that I must pay an additional expense to install the downspouts necessary to make the system function adequately. This is not what I was originally told, and it raises a concerning question: Why would a system be sold and installed if it was not sufficient for the job from the start? I trusted Home Improvements by Tim Allard to provide a complete solution. Instead, the project remains incomplete, and I am left with overflowing gutters--a problem that did not exist with my previous system. I believe this issue should be corrected without additional cost to me, as the current configuration does not meet the expectations that were established at the time of sale. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.

I called Kevin on behalf of my mothers home, he came by gave a price estimate of 9-10k, and told me he would come back a few days later to have my mother sign off on contract, he did so and there is a language barrier with my mother, mind you I had to translate in between his talk, my mother was under impression it was 9-10k, the quote was actually 10,500 total just for roof, I however misunderstood it and wrongfully thought he meant 10,500$ if he were to add plywood all around roof for an extra 1,500$ and if we opted for no wood it would be 9,000 but my mistake.(see attached quote) and you'll see where the confusion happened on my end at the bottom on Line L, I translated to my mom that I was wrong and she was debating having the plywood extra added on for the extra 1,500$, so she simply asked me to ask if there was any room in his bid to bring it to 10k without adding anything extra, he did a complete 360 and started throwing a tantrum about how no one ever gives him a discount, and said he had just turned down jobs for that reason prior, how she had to wait her turn in line before the other customers simply because she asked how quickly he could get started. All he had to say was I can't do 10k. She then told me to tell him she would agree for 10,500 and give half today as a deposit as we had agreed prior, before I could even translate that to him he got up from our dinner table and said you know what i am refusing and decline this bid because this is not going to work. Keep in mind my mother was not haggling with him at all, I clearly told her it was my mistake and I understood wrong, he was simply to impatient while I was listening to my mom say she would be giving him a chance and that she had the money on table cover, he was erratic , just had absolute no clue how to read the room. To make matters best if you would like confirmation we have an indoor blink camera to show this unbelievable experience, we dodged a bullet with this dude. Go else where. When Joshua came to look at my house, it turned out it was between 3/4 and 1 inch off on one side and definitely needed precision laser guided releveling! He was very knowledgeable and came the same week that I called him for an estimate. The job was completed the following week all in just one day! He and his crew were very professional, and they explained everything every step of the way. He also recommended an interior support for my living room ceiling as one of the previous owners had removed a loadbearing wall which could be detrimental to the ceiling and roof structure. After my initial meeting with that individual they proposed a selling price $70k below what I thought was the market value. I then came across a Realtor from Advantage Homes, Ms. Cathy Bucalo. She was so extremely helpful through the entire process. Cathy is well versed on the process of buying/selling manufactured homes and has a strong pulse on the market. She instructed me on what needed to be done to the home in order to get the home listed and communicated with me throughout the process. She was instrumental when our first buyer withdrew from the process. She told me to stay focused and the right person will come along. The right buyer did come along shortly thereafter and Cathy orchestrated a deal not just meeting my market value assumption but $29k more than what I had originally thought. If I would have done the quick and easy thing by using the first Realtor I would have missed out on $100k. Cathy was empathic to my situation, determined to sell the property during a pandemic and kept me thinking positively when sometimes things weren't going my way.
