Been misdiagnosed 2 separate times for an illness I needed antibiotics to get rid of that I can't get because they do not care enough to ask. They didn't ask me a single question to try and diagnose me, I told them a couple of symptoms and they immediately prescribed me the same medicine I told them didn't work the last time which was the equivalent of trying to put a bandaid on a cut that needs stitches. Had to go to a real doctor just to actually get a proper diagnosis and get the correct medicine to cure this sickness. A waste of everyone's time and money. read more

I just left urgent care in Sayville after being there for over two hours the staff most of them were not very accommodating after being there almost half an hour 3040 minutes. I was asked for my copayment which after I gave they took me in about 10 minutes later, I proceeded to sit in the office for over an hour and was very upset because I was so uncomfortable with the problem I had come therefore Which was my eyes at one point it was so loud outside and the door was closed so I opened the door and peaked my head out while they were all sitting laughing upfront and I asked what was happening. They said that I was next again. I waited another 20 minutes when the doctor came in. She already came in with an attitude because they probably alerted her that I was upset and I said I've been sitting here for a long time waiting and she said what's the problem with an attitude she said I'll get do would you like someone else? I said no I'd like for you to look at my eyes and she said you know what I'll get you somewhere someone else I have never been treated like that especially at an urgent care. They call it urgent care so that you don't have to set an appointment up with the doctor your primary or what have you I had been to this place before but this doctor I had never seen nor have I seen a couple of them. I would never go this far as to write a review When I told them I was leaving. I asked for my $25 back and I was told that I had to wait for the manager who was doing an x-ray so I stood there and waited then I was told that the manager wasn't there that she's coming in a few minutes to give me my money so I told him I will wait outside and if it doesn't happen, I will call 911. They told me do whatever I wanted. I got in my car. Waited to see if anybody was coming in that looked like a manager, and I got a phone call from this place telling me that my money was there so right there they played games about the Manager not being there. Was there doing an x-ray all this nonsense and I never got my eyes looked at. It's so sad to me that people that are in this field can play games like that with people that are in need of their care, I have been a server for years, and I never ever would behaving that fashion. Forgot to get a sick note on my visit here a few days ago. I went back to pick one up. I was informed since the treating PA wasn't in I can either be seen again or call Aftercare and request that a sick note be emailed to me. But in order for me to contact aftercare I have to call their main number and be transferred to aftercare. So I get in my car and call the main number (probably speaking to the girl I just spoke to). She transfers me. No option for aftercare, just press 2 for recent patient so i am placed in waiting mode for 35 minutes now and the clock is still ticking. Came back to add its 42 minutes and still listening to this lousy music waiting to speak to someone. One hour and still waiting to speak to someone. One hour and 19 minutes. Still waiting. One hour and 46 minutes. Still waiting. I called Sayville Citi MD on another phone to see if the PA I saw will be in tomorrow. She told me they don't know until that day. Am I really supposed to believe they don't have schedules for their employees. This place is the worst!!!! One hour and 50 minutes and I'm still on hold. Two hours and 6 minutes and still on hold. Two hours and 42 minutes and still waiting! Great customer service Citi MD!! So after two hours and 52 minutes someone picks up the phone named James. I explain what I need and he tells me he has to transfer me. I say " Wait! Wait!! Wait!!! and he ignores me and transfers me. They are curteous, however they are lazy and have you, the patient, fill in all the computer information for yourself and it takes forever - while the people at the desk do nothing, this is so dumb! I went in last time with an injured toe. They took 2 x-rays, and could not decide if its broken or not, really? What a huge waste of my money and time, I don't think I will be using them again. Went this Wednesday for a Covid test. Had been sick for three days. Was made to fill out info on a public iPad--not really sanitary...many other places don't use them any longer. But the security guard was nice and helped me. Then I had to wait inside with other sick people! I asked if I could go to my car and be called, but the answer was no. I didn't have a choice so I stayed. Yes, every chair was a distance away from the next one, but is this 2019? I dont wait inside when I take my DOG to the doctor! They were professional and though I'm still waiting for results, they got the primary job done. But five days prior my husband went to Northwell by Chipotle and Old Navy and he waited in the car (for three minutes before being called in.) I'll go there next time. read more

So I've visited a couple of times, and it seems the only thing they are capable of is handing you a pre loaded doctors note. If you expect them to contact your pharmacy in a timely matter or diagnose you outside, you asking for a specific test yourself, then you would be asking too much. There is no record of me going even though I have printouts of the tests I took during the visit, so my medication never got sent out. Angela, one of the front staff workers, was quick to refer me to aftercare, which was its own mess of long wait times and getting disconnected. This review isn't necessarily specific to the Sayville Office, but CityMD as a whole, I just happen to be a patient at this office. I have been trying to get my vaccine records for over a month for a medical clearance. I have called, made requests, been assured that the records are being faxed over- just to call back and hear there's nothing in my file that indicates a request to be sent. I have made over 5 phone calls. It's extremely frustrating not being able to have access to your own medical records. All I need is verification that I got one vaccine for a job. I don't currently have insurance since I am in between jobs so I cannot afford to just get an additional vaccine. For someone who has worked for years in a medical office, it makes it even more frustrating and I do not understand why it has been so difficult. I have never experienced something like this. This whole process has made my start date for a new job be postponed. I will never return to CityMD. read more

Went to get a rapid Covid test today. I came back positive and when I proceeded to ask for the PCR test (that the doctor offered in the first place, as the rapid was developing results) I was denied of that. I am not 100% sure if that is the protocol or not. However the doctor was very rude to me when I showed my concerns about a possible false positive. She then told me that it was not possible, and that it was only possible to get a false negative. I have personally seen people receive a false positive rapid test. I understand that she is the doctor however she did not make these tests and she did not make these vaccines. I just don't see what gives her the right to be rude when I show my concerns. When this location First opened up they were good; after my visit yesterday I will officially say that I will not go here again. I have a knee injury and I went here for it last year when it first happened & they told me it was a sprain gave me a steroid & told me to take over-the-counter meds for pain. Fast forward one year and a torn meniscus surgery later, I hurt my knee again late Saturday night. My orthopedic would not be in the office until Thursday and I was having problems moving and straightening my leg so I decided it would probably be a smart idea to go to urgent care Monday just in case, as I couldn't getget in to my doctor right away. I really wish I hadn't gone; The doctor I saw was very rude & obviously did not care what my problem was. They did take three x-rays, I was told nothing showed up, I asked, so why am I in such pain and can't straighten my leg; the answer was "well, there's a lot of things that could happen with the knee!" She said I can't give you any pain medication's, so if you're still having problems go to the emergency room. I thought the whole purpose of an urgent care system was to avoid going to expensive emergency rooms. I asked for information to be sent to my orthopedist so when he comes back into the office he has the information from my visit, she said they don't do that, you have a copy of the x-rays. Place opens at 8:00 a.m. Got there at 7:00 a.m. and there were already about 40 plus people lined up. Once I got to the door, the woman was SUPER nice. I think their system is very efficient. I had to wait an hour to get a rapid test, but you are able to leave and come back. The wait time was exactly an hour! People inside were super friendly and helpful. Inside was clean as well. You just have to be patient about the wait. Workers are doing the best they can! read more

The PA with the initials N.A.M was very rude, dismissive, and did not want to deal with my concerns, just citing "company policy." I'm not really sure why so many people are rating them so low. I have been here multiple times for both myself and my children for a variety of reasons (broken bones, upper respiratory illness, asthma difficulties, covid testing, etc.). Every single time I have been here Myself or my boys have been in and out in a reasonable amount of time and have been given top notch medical treatment. Most important we have always been treated with kindness by all of the staff. Of course during the height of the covid pandemic things were a bit crazy here - but that was everywhere. Just yesterday I brought my two boys (5yo and 21mos) here because for the past few months it's been impossible to get them into their pediatrician in a reasonable amount of time when they're sick. They were both evaluated by a PA for upper respiratory illness. Both boys are completely fine - I just needed their ears to be checked since they always get ear infections with the slightest bit of congestion. We walked in at 8:30AM and walked out at 10:00AM. It was 757pm when they close at 8pm I was frantic with my 8 year old and 7 week old. I didn't want to visit an emergency room. Especially with the kids but who ever wants to go to an ER ?! Of all the dumb things- I had got a splinter under my finger nail! I was welcomed with smiles and concern by the staff despite my close to closing arrival. I was seen by Nicole Auclairmasone PA and she was amazing . She was successful at removing the chunk of wood from under my nail with only minimal pain considering the circumstances and was super compassionate. I'm so happy they were there for me this and all the other times I've needed to visit. It's a clean place too which as an RN and a mom I highly appreciate! The television always has some family friendly movie on and water is a simple and nice touch . No complaints from me and my son loves the well stocked bowl of pens and lollipops read more

I'd like to start by saying that I hate urgent care centers to begin with. I've had nothing but mainly bad experiences during some of my last few times, so I refused to go to one ever again. However, during such times, my primary care doctor is booked up and I have trouble getting appointments. My ENT doesn't take my new insurance. So, in order to get any form of test, I have no choice but to go to urgent care. I was here once, pre COVID times, when it was still Stat Health and I was still under my parents' insurance. It was extremely crowded, but I signed in and waited. Numerous people that came in after me were taken before me. I kept listening closely for my name to be called. I had to go to them and find out why I hadn't been called yet. It turns out that they had forgotten about me and then, said I owed them money or I couldn't be seen..what money? My insurance covered everything from past visits. But, it was the only way for me to finally be seen after waiting two hours. After that, I never wanted to go to this location again. I hadn't run into this issue at other locations. Fast forward to current times. As of two days ago, I found out that I had been in contact with a friend who was in contact with a relative, days prior and this relative ended up contracting COVID. I also found out that a coworker likely has strep throat and was in contact with her. So, I figured I'd try getting a test for both to be safe. I tried somewhere else in the nearby area first, as clearly, this place was not my first choice. I was turned away from the other place because they didn't have any available appointments. Even though I hated it, I decided to try this place before heading home or attempting another urgent care that's out of the way. I figured it could possibly be different as well, due to the new company that has taken over and it's no longer Stat Health. Nope. I get there and attempt to walk in to possibly get information. I was greeted at the door by a security guard. He asked me what I was coming in for and to make it easier than explaining everything, I just said I was hoping to get a COVID test. He tells me that they're done for the day because the line was too long. I could understand like a lunch break or if they wanted to shut down for a while to clean or take a break in general and see patients later. I would've been okay if they told me to come back in a few hours. But, done for the day? Do you realize how many people are potentially sick that you're not helping? Honestly, how is this place in business? Also, online, it says that you're open much later than 2pm. First of all, come up with a better system than an outdoor line. People don't follow the 6ft rule, unfortunately and other people probably get infected just by standing near them. Not to mention, it's winter. Second of all, learn how to properly run a doctor's office. And to anyone that's thinking of coming to this place, do yourself a favor and don't. You're welcome. read more

I called 3 times and they put me through to 'after care' this number does not pick up then it asks if you want a call back. Press 1 for a call back. You do that a nd it goes dead. Lazy doctor didn't want to treat my son. We came in on Christmas eve because my pediatrician was closed, my son had some impacted ear wax and was in pain so I brought him here to have it irrigated. We saw Dr. Jones and he advised me to go home and put Debtox drops in his ear which is basically peroxide. I explained to him that we didn't that already it didn't work and he needed the ear irrigated. The doctor didn't want to treat my child, told me that irrigating the ear would do more harm than good and tried sending us on our way. I feel he was being lazy so I had to basically tell him we weren't leaving until my sons ear was treated as I didn't come here for medical advice, I came for you to treat my sons ear so he can have relief. My co-pay to go here is $50 twice my normal co-pay which is a lot of money for me to dish out on top of Christmas expenses. I had to explain I wasn't paying that to go home and treat my own child's ear, which irrigating an ear is something I'm not qualified to do. He was clearly irritated with me and treated my son once he realized I wouldn't be leaving that office until he did. After he was all done he smurked at me and said you can do this at home! This doctor was so rude and yet the medical treatment I was seeking was easy. Just because one is smart enough to put themselves through Med school doesn't mean they have what it takes to be a doctor. Never going back here again! read more

Honestly I been there several different times, yes when waiting room full it's been hour wait but that is the longest ever waited. Believe all 3 of my kids, at least 2 of them have been there for many different reasons. 2 out of 3 times waited mayb an hour but other 2 times much less of a wait. Also every time we did go we had a pretty good experience , no complaints. People need to realize in all health care situations how busy times r just not expected. Health care offices r for the most part prepared to help, but if a health care worker is out sick etc, & happens 2 b a busy day, there r only so much they can do rush patients in & out w out giving everyone the proper treatment. Let's face it, if these walk in places r definitely saving more time than the hospitals do for the most part, it's definitely more worth it. read more

I visited this location in November for blood work and an annual PPD. they have repeatedly billed me for $300 over the past 4 months. I have repeatedly spoken to my insurance and CITYMD to resolve this matter. I come to find out CITYMD is billing me and NOT my insurance company. And don't care about why you are there, they want you in and out and barley believe you when you tell them systems. They test for things that don't need to be tested for and have sent me home 2 times where I can continued to get more sick. The pharmacist immediatiely sent an email but I had to call them days later and was put on hold and hung up on multiple times. I also was connected with an off site number to correct their error. Actually zero stars based on my wife's experience with them on two separate occasions. Last year my wife went into CityMD Sayville with right sided swollen tonsil, uvular deviation and a sore throat for several days. She was told it was viral and that antibiotics wouldn't help. A few days later with no improvement in her condition and when her throat almost closed on her while sleeping I rushed her to the hospital where they immediately told us "it's a classic presentation of a peritonsillar abscess" and it required not 1 but 2 surgical procedures to correct it AND antibiotics. So several months later when all is forgotten my wife returned there, because it's quick and easy, with an Upper Respiratory Infection which my daughter had a couple of weeks earlier and was given azithromycin and tessalon perles cough pills. She asked for a dose of prednisone because from experience with this, knowing her lungs become inflamed, that steroids are the only thing that helps get rid of her cough. Instead, she was given one dose of a dexamethasone steroid drink. The Dr told her she wasn't going to give her the steroids but if she's not better in a couple days to call them back. Well, today she called them back and was told they wouldn't prescribe the steroids but she should come back in (and pay another $50 copay) because she may have been misdiagnosed. Based on her previous experience, that may have been good advice but we'll pass. That's the last time any of our family will go here again. read more

My daughter went to this clinic on Tuesday for what she thought might be a UTI. After an exam and a urinalysis it was found that she had a kidney infection. The doctor prescribed medication and sent her home. 2 days later, my daughter got a call from City MD stating they had prescribed the wrong medication and to stop taking it immediately!!! They then called in a different prescription for her. Thankfully my daughter doesn't have any allergies and that this incorrect medication didn't interact with other meds she is on. Plus the another copay for meds on top of the incompetence. I emailed a woman by the name of Diane Kim in the Aftercare Department who responded to my concerns with an attitude, as if she could brush me off as if if this situation is. It a big deal. First off- when I was at home, I looked at the website and it said there was a 3 minute wait. I rushed to get there only to see there was a full waiting room and it was more like an hour wait. When they took me to my examination room, their was blood on the step stool. They told me the guy before me had a laceration but that was uncalled for. Then they left the examination room and the doctor comes back in and says you can leave. I said did you send the meds to CVS? He said they did. When I got to CVS, only one prescription went.... not the other one. I had to call them to resend it. I just think they seemed very frazzled. They are excellent here! I trust them always had a great and quick experience here. Covid tests are quick and the nurses and doctors are all kind and courteous. The place feels clean and safe. I especially wanted to say the Radiologist here for X Rays was excellent , his name was Anthony he was so knowledgeable, he was thorough and smart with the images he took , the position you need to hold your arms etc. to make sure he is reading your x Ray images with a professional accurate approach, he made sure images were clear, and I was impressed that everything was so quick! I've been to other places and didn't feel like they cared as much as they do here at Sayville CIty MD they are fantastic here. I love how the doctors and nurse practitioners radiologists etc, they all give you good advice and they all genuinely care here and want you to get better.
