Even if you bring your own gear, they have it so dialed in from the rod size to the reel capacity to the line diameter to the oz & hook sizes! Respectfully leave your gear home. It's worth the $5-$10 to let them do it. Then after you fill your cooler, they gladly clean your catch to your liking (dressed or filleted)

Relatively clean & water has no smell with Lifeguards showers & changing area. But I personally do not go in the water as it's a bit too dark for my liking. But I love going to relax and sunbathe while people watching. The entrance is $10 per car and theres a bbq area and plenty of space for family gathering. Keep in mind that it gets super crowded on the weekends and holiday. I recommend going early.

He hasn't been skunked in over 2000 trips! We caught 12 stripers in 4 hours right next to the FDR drive! Joe is a great guy, very easy-going and easy to be around. He takes care of everything. Just show up and he'll rig you up. He does bait, lures, fly fishing ....all depends on what is biting and where you are fishing. Joe is worth every penny!
