Long story short, Tom and his team saved our deck- they did an exceptional job and we highly recommend them. We were in a situation where our deck was sinking off the house, was never properly built to begin with, and it was rotting to the point of being a safety hazard. We had gotten a couple of quotes for an all new Trex deck, and the price tag was simply too high to fit into our budget at the time. We needed a team to try and salvage the deck we had, so we could save for the new deck, but we spoke with several different contractors who said it was out of their purview. Not for Tom and his team!! They came up with a solution within minutes of looking the wreck over- they proposed to demolish half of our massive deck, reinforce the frame and add new boards to what remained. This was something no other contractor we had spoken with had thought of! Tom and his team John and Gary were great. They were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and perfect professionals. They arrived to the job on time, and finished within the original time frame promised. Tom was extremely reasonable on price, even when we needed to get more material than originally planned. He really understood our needs and situation and delivered 110%. The team made sure every board was perfect, and every step was completed with care. They were polite, friendly and left the job site clean. We are extremely happy with our resuscitated "new" deck, it is simply beautiful and solid as a rock. The work the Hook & Ladder team put in will give us the time we need to save up for the big Trex job- and we already know without a doubt we will be calling Tom back for that job when it comes!

Jon's price was very reasonable to what other handymen on yelp wanted to charge me, which I found ridiculous. I also picked Jon because he has carpentry skills and does furniture assembly, he also has expertise in other handyman projects. He was good enough to call me this morning and tell me he was running a little late, I told him that was fine because I overslept this morning. So it all worked out. I bought 3 different pairs of legs from Amazon to replace the legs on my cabinet. 2 were metal and 1 pair was wood. I did have my favorite ones which was metal. I showed all 3 sets to Jon and he agreed with me that my favorite ones was the best way to go. I was amazed that Jon was able to pick up my cabinet and gently placed it on the floor to replace the legs. He knew exactly what he was doing and removed the old original legs and replaced them with the newer legs. It didn't take him long to replace the legs. Jon made sure that the new legs was firmly secured before he lifted it back up and placed back against the wall. The new legs look fantastic and will hold the weight after I put all the wine bottle's back in place and everything in the drawers and into the cabinet. Jon also did a small project for me that is outside my house. Last year our snowplow driver in our community detroyed the trim outside my garage door. Jon took a screw and drilled it back into place, which worked perfectly. Jon is professional, polite and knows how to fix a problem. I definately recommend him and will hire him again.
