Wait, I haven't reviewed CityWalk before? Let me correct that now. I enjoy coming to CityWalk for events and for the outdoor skating rink. My boys also meet their trainer down here regularly. City Walk was a great idea!

Really came to the restaurant week food truck event with the intent to support the Fat Charles truck. Really wanted the barria tacos. They are so good. Thought they would be there since they gave a free children's cooking class that morning. Said Fat Charles wanted knowledge passed down. However no Fat Charles for me. I did get a very nice bar bq sandwich and it was hot so I got a shaved ice, mango and peach. Neither one made it home.

Been out here to a view events but came yesterday just to get out of the house and walk around for a bit with the hubs and we really enjoyed ourselves it's usually a lot of action going on so it was great to walk around and really see how relaxing city walk is and these beautiful murals they've painted has added such a summery atmosphere the weather was perfect with an amazing breeze I wish I took more pics gonna try & come back before it gets too hot and unbearable

    A lovely day!

Came to Birmingham to visit a friend and her kiddos for the day. We settled on coming to City Walk after checking out their website and seeing all they had to offer. I must say we had a wonderful time and if I come back to visit again, I'd definitely stop here to hangout for a bit. Parking is available on the street and there were a few paid lots around but we opted to park on the street a few blocks down because I mean who doesn't love free parking??? We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was a beautiful day out with plenty of sunshine and a nice breeze but because the space is located beneath the underpass, we found plenty of shade as we made our way through the ginormous play area. I believe there's a food truck park and a dog park but we were only concerned with getting to the play area and we had an absolute blast. There's plenty for kiddos of all ages and the playground equipment isn't just your usual slide and monkey bar situation. There's a climbing obstacle course that the kids loved and I really loved the amount of space between the different things on the playground. This is such a nice, fun place and we were here for hours! There's plenty of areas to sit and relax along with a whole picnic area with tables and restroom. If you're in Birmingham and want to get out and just enjoy outside....this is the place!

My first time at CWB was cool. I originally came to met up with a walking group ( that I never found). However, I did walk around a bit to take in some of the sights and sounds. City walk offers multiple activities. Something for all ages to get into. And it's in the perfect location! I love the dog park. I loved seeing the dogs run around playing , having a ball!!! This is a great addition to the downtown area and I look forward to returning again real soon!

I decided to take a walk in the area because I have been here for concerts but I wanted to take I. The scenery during the daytime. Located right next to Uptown. This is a pretty cool area as it offers pickle ball, dog park and skateboard park. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Close to several restaurants. Overall, a great addition to the city.

Thank you, Bham, for creating City Walk! What a great addition. It's very smart to use space under a bridge, and the lights are super cool!! Whoever thought of this deserves applause. Playgrounds, a dog park, swings, ping pool, and K J's and Eugene's across the street. What a great place. I can't wait to see what is going to be in the Norwood area. I'm proud of B'ham, my home sweet home.

While…read morevisiting Alabama, my friends and I decided to spend a couple of hours here and ended up hiking about 5-6 miles. There's truly no shortage of trails, and the variety keeps things interesting the entire time. The park definitely offers some challenging uphill climbs--especially for us Florida girls who aren't used to elevation--but we powered through and felt very accomplished. One of my favorite highlights was Rushing Rendezvous; the idea of a suspension bridge tucked up in the treetops always excites me, and this one did not disappoint. Of course, when we saw Trail 5 marked as most difficult, it was a no‑brainer--we had to take it. I really enjoyed reading about the history along the way, especially learning more about the Birmingham Mineral Railroad site. I do wish there had been a bit more signage around some of the remaining structures so we could soak up even more history, but honestly, guessing their original purpose became part of the fun. Hands down, I would absolutely come back to explore more of Red Mountain Park. It's a great mix of challenge, scenery, and history--and well worth the visit.

I'm so happy that I found this historical place. Such a great walking and hiking trail. There's also areas to get your cardio on and to sit, relax, pack lunch/meal to enjoy at the tables along the trail. Perfect for bike rides, bird watching and getting away without getting away. Add this place to your weekly workout routine.

I had never heard of this park/trail before and that shocks me considering how close it is to our house. This is parking across the street, but not a whole lot. Perhaps enough room for 6-8 cars. The entire trail follows a stream which adds in a picturesque scene as you cruise along. There is a historic market telling about the blast furnaces that used to be there. There were some people, but certainly not crowded. The trail was pretty smooth for the most part. Very few roots and other trip hazards. Really my only complaint is that its not long enough. And obviously some people ignore the dog waste bags provided for them at the beginning. But overall we loved finding this little gem and will definitely be going back!

There are a few benches, trash bins, doggie bags, educational signage, and parallel parking. The trail connects to the overall system of Mountain Brook Sidewalks and Trails and is part of the Red Rock Ridge & Valley Trail System. So if you're coming to run here be prepared to do some sidewalk running as well to get decent miles in. It's a nice change of scenery, but not really a destination park.
