IN MY OPINON...
Probably the cleanest city in west coast Baja, Mexico, California. The drive down from the TJ border has an optional to be coastal on HWY 1D. There are tolls but you don't have to pay the tolls, it's more of a political thing where they are collecting money. Although the speed limit is roughly around 80mph, you can smashing the highway at 100-105mph (not the wisest choice but whatever). Coming back there's military at the last toll that search cars so expect to be pulled over for whatever reason.
It's the cleanest city on the coast. The cruise ships stop here so there are a TON of tourist and (thank god) English speaking Hispanics. Few blocks from the waterfront if the downtown full of shops (selling the same merchandise), bars, restaurants, clubs, more bars, etc. Nice to stroll but if you miss it you're not missing much. Lots of fish tacos and I've notice the locals are eating at two Main Street taco vendors serving ceviche (line is long).
It's a chill city but if you've come from a metropolitan life that I grew up, this city is nice to see but quickly bored. read more
