I had been on a relatively new mattress for four years and had begun realizing it was on the harder/firmer side and was open to a new one and would be much softer! I know people say harder firmer beds may be better for your back, i tend to think these people dont really prioritize sleep and dont want to be in bed for long. A softer bed will cause me to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. I went on a tour of mattress stores during a certain stretch, kind of like a mecca of mattress stores. The first mattress i got into, a Europa Plush, at City Mattress turned out being the softest one i had gotten into along the itinerary and shopping circuit. It sold itself. I liked the way the sunlight shined into the store too through their windows and i flippantly added they dont even need to have their overhead lights on during the day. I had a saleswoman named Katie which i was happy about being in promotion of women in the workforce. The one thing i would provide in terms of feedback is that City Mattress should price in or even accept your trade-in of a previous mattress like a Car Dealership does. This is a business and they handle mattresses better than we do. If i was an employee there, this would be a Board Meeting winning idea id enter in with before joining! Consumers would shop at the mattress store knowing they'd take their previous mattress as far as discounting the price. Always wise to be conciliatory to the consumer securing more sales that way too! :) read more

I needed a new mattress because mine had body indents in mine. I went to city mattress. paid $1700.00 and 5 months later I have body indents already. We have been to city mattress the two times we've bought new mattresses and have not been disappointed. Ken holzhauer was our salesman this time and he was terrific. No pressure at all. Taught us how to pick the right bed We were there for several hours which is how you should do it. We went with Simmons beautyrest hybrid medium firm bed and I have to say We haven't slept this well in years. Ken also threw in the mattress cover and pillows. The bed has a 10 year warranty that it'll be as flat as it was on day one The first time we bought, we also went to city mattress. I wouldn't fall for any gimmicks with any other store. Been using City for about 5 years now. Furnished five AirBnb's with their mattresses. Didn't yelp on those experiences. Just got emailed my receipt. The numbers are off. I was quoted $650 plus tax mattress, box spring, and base. the number was $745. Ali moved a bunch numbers around when I cancelled the second bed and I was the loser. I am living a NIGHTMARE because of this store and their product. Prana is a horrible product. I was lured in to purchase this over priced product because they said it was the best. Customer service is as important even after the purchase is made, Grace answering the phone and NOT showing any modals/sympathy as I explained my concerns, and it got worse when I asked to speak with the manager, and Chris just tried justifying Grace. We've done business with City Mattress on Tamiami Trail in Naples several times over the last few years - we've purchased mattresses, a headboard/footboard set and sleeper sofas. The staff - both in the store and delivery folks - is very helpful and easy to work with. The only time we have ever had a problem involved a manufacturer's defect in a piece of furniture. City Mattress has been great about making the situation right, and having the manufacturer replace the product, even though the problem was not City Mattress's fault. We will definitely go to City Mattress again when we have a need. read more

We are in the middle of a nightmare with City Mattress. They have over $4100 of our money hostage due to a defective mattress. We were working with an EXCELLENT sales rep, Katie in the Naples store who went out of her way at every interaction. Unfortunately yesterday we went to choose our replacement and wanted to replace with a Tempurpedic bed. Despite their own line of Pranasleep beds being highly unsuitable for us, the sales rep Pat was downright rude to us, refused to help us with the Tempurpedic line and informed us we must only choose something more expensive in the Pranasleep line, which City Mattress own. He also offered us something of lesser value but we will not be refunded the difference. He was rude and arrogant to us, making us feel very uncomfortable in the store. It's a real shame - we are a large Naples family and have all been clients of CM for years. Never again. read more

I bought an expensive prana mattress justifying it because it had a 25 yr warranty and thought " it costs twice as much but lasts twice as long". Don't make that mistake !!! It only lasted 7 years and City Mattress says it doesn't meet their criteria of an 1 1/2 inch depression for coverage under warranty. read more

We have a defective mattress and we're told we were out of luck! I don't understand why City Mattress did not stand behind their product. I never write reviews but when my husband is sleeping in a crevice the size of a canoe and I'm sleeping in the equivalent of a kayak, I can't ignore it. We've had two "lemons" now and this mattress was sold under warranty and we paid for the upgrade from our old defective one. Now here we are again with a lemon with no one to help. Low grade mattresses. The first one received came damaged and felt like someone had slept on it before. There was zero support and felt like a bunch of springs and foam in a tied up garbage bag. I kept waking up in tears. The sides of the mattress were so collapsed you couldn't sleep on it without feeling like you we're going to fall out of bed. It was a $2,300 mattress set. I called City Mattress up and they said we couldn't get our money back. I called the credit card company to help me out. After the credit card company put the money back into my account they said we could change the mattress out but had to pay a $100 fee. Mind you this mattress came with a tear in it and was smashed up looking on top of the quality issue. I made the wrong decision and decided to work with them and try out another more traditional mattress set. This set is just as horrible. I think the the springs are made of aluminum foil. When you sit on it they make popping noises and doesn't have support. I wake up in severe pain, again in tears. I had a 30 year old mattress that they hulled away for me and now think should have kept it since it was better than the crap they sold me. I'm out of my money and am looking for a new set. I'm 36 and feel like I'm going on 70 since I bought there products a few months ago. Lastly, I believe they resell the returned mattresses to costumers. The first mattress looked like it was used and felt like it as well. Shame on them for selling trash at high prices. In the end it never pays to cheat customers. I've told several people who were looking to buy a new mattress set to steer clear of them. City Mattress- you have already lost thousands of dollars because of me warning people about how you do business.What a shame read more

We purchased a mattress 2 years ago from City Mattress and it was sagging and no longer comfortable. We went into the store and they said they would send someone out to assess the mattress. He came out, said the mattress was defective and we could pick out a new mattress. We went back to the same store and worked with Rick. He was patient with us and provided excellent information to us about our options. We were able to get a new mattress set using the same purchase price from 2 years earlier. We are absolutely thrilled with the new mattress and we still have 8 years left on our warranty. It is so nice to have a company stand behind the products that they sell. Having just purchased a new Prana mattress , the addition of a medium firm 3 1/2 inch Prana pillow completed the perfect sleep combo ensemble.
