I spoke with the owner, Matt, and explained that I'd bought a sofa off of Kijiji yesterday, and upon getting it back to my condo and removing the slipcover to put a fresh one on, realized that it was infested with bed bugs. Disgusting and very distressing. I immediately put the sofa on my patio, along with a few small garbage bags of dog bedding and blankets that had been near the sofa, and closed the patio door. First thing this morning, I called these guys. I was upfront with Matt that I had a sofa with bed bugs that I needed hauled away, and is this something he handles. He was super empathetic, and actually apologized that I had to deal with the situation I was in. He said he could help, and even rearranged his schedule for the day so that he'd make it to my place within 90 minutes. HUGE sigh of relief... he also said he'd wrap the sofa in plastic to avoid any possible contamination as he and his team removed it. Matt and his team showed up within the hour, and actually ended up removing the sofa right from my patio, so that they didn't even have to bring it back through my condo. They also took away the bags of dog bedding. It was very fast and painless, and cost me $90, which is more than fair. Right after he left, I realized that I'd accidentally put a childhood blanket that belonged to my mom in the garbage bag with the dog bedding. UGH.. I texted Matt, and he said not to worry, I'll fish the blanket out for you, and have it washed and will keep it for you until you're able to pick it up. Talk about service! I'd highly recommend Matt, and will definitely hire him in future. 5 stars all the way!!

We were quite happy with the three movers. They were on time, polite, and helpful. Their hourly…read morerate is slightly cheaper then the average moving company. We moved from a condo into a house and it took 4 hrs 45 minutes with an additional stop to a storage location. It could have been 4 hours total but we got detoured with a free sofa that turned out to be awesome and now sits in our main living room! They require you to have your mattresses in covers/bags and they'll rent them to you for $19/each or you can buy them from Canadian Tire for $10 each. My one piece of advice would be for them to sweep/clean their moving trunk regularly. After they left I kept finding small pieces of broken glass which came in from the bottom of their shoes.

Things started out good. They arrived on time and got busy moving things. David even called for…read moreextra help. Then he told me they would have to leave to go do 2 other jobs. Yes without finishing mine. He complained constantly about how much stuff I had. What did he expect with a 2 bedroom + den apartment? I did tell him I'm the furthest from the elevator and yes that took up extra time. He actually said "You'd think she could take the small stuff in her car" to which I replied "My car is already full." He said "Oh you weren't supposed to hear that." I'm paying you to move so stop whining. It's your frickin job. They ran out of shrink wrap and one of the movers asked if he could use mine and they're reimburse me. That later was an issue. David and his crew left around 2pm and said they'd be back later. Hours and hours go by. He finally calls asking if they could do the last of the move tomorrow. I said No I have to be out of my apartment by noon. He was aware of that yet he seemed right PO'd like it was my fault. Said Fine we'll be there in an hour and half and he hung up on me. They finally show up at 11:30pm and David tells me they're not going to put things in the house where they belong. They just dump it in my garage. So now I'm left to find someone else to move my table, chairs, tv stand, arm chair and other large items that they didn't move. His excuse was that he can't be working until 1am. Well dude maybe you should learn to schedule moves better. I was beyond furious. David is a con artist and liar. When I booked the move, he said he used to work for the govt of AB but then the day of the move he said he still works there and he could quit his job and easily make more money. Well he doesn't work for the GOA and hasn't for many months. David is no friend and I suggest you find other movers. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the people he employs were good. I'd give David no stars if I could.

We wanted junk removed from our crawl space under our basement stairs, a low, small space, not easy to get into, as well as our garage. Miquel with his daughter, were organized, polite and efficient. They inquired after each item as to whether it was a keep or a throw out. There was heavy flooring items, paint cans and suitcases, they took it all quickly and vacuumed the crawl space, leaving it empty and clean. The garage was handled in a similar manner, then swept out, leaving it also empty and clean. We were very impressed with there efficient, organized removal of all our junk from our driveway into their truck and trailer flatbed. The whole process took a little over two hours. Booking a pick-up was super easy on the website and allowed me to look at the schedule in advance to see when I could potentially book a pick-up time. Once I'd made a decision on the day and time, booking the actual appointment took seconds and didn't require me to wait until specific daytime hours. I received a confirmation email after booking and a notification​ email before the actual appointment. Plus, I was easily able to email Just Junk with a question that I had before my appointment, which they answered promptly. On the actual day of pick-up, the Just Junk guys arrived near the end of the 2-hour​ window, as I had booked an evening appointment. I showed them what I needed done, they explained the service and potential costs and then gave me a complete estimate before they did any work. Then they went to work! What impressed me was that these guys were in such a good mood for two guys who were carrying junk out of some stranger's home! They were both very nice and funny and did their work quickly and without complaint. They removed all the items I needed to have removed and they did it in record time. Paying for the service was super-easy, but they did have a problem with their portable credit card machine (not their fault).
