You show them the picture, and when you're done, you look like the picture. And if he can't do it, he tells you straight up what's possible and what you'd have to do to get there. When you sit down in the chair, two women section your hair into the thinnest layers and work a ton of product through it. Joe keeps immaculate written records on little postcards about everything you've ever done there. He knows exactly what you got last time and how it went. That's almost seven years of records now, and it's amazing. Then I usually go to Yuki for the cut. She gives you this incredible layered cut that looks like it takes her no effort at all, and she's friendly. I really enjoy her. When she's done they take a professional photo of you that Joe sends you right away, and he posts it on his Instagram. It's honestly one of the highlights of the trip. It also leaves you a record, so I can look back almost seven years and see what I asked for at the beginning and how it turned out. It's a really nice way to grow old with a business. Joe himself is great and everyone there is wonderful. They always offer a moisturizing treatment, and at $10, given how long you sit there and how many times you get shampooed, it feels like a steal. I can't recommend this place highly enough, because I don't think anywhere else comes close to what they do. And it's always packed, so clearly I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I honestly think that Joe does a wonderful job deciding and helping clients with the choice of color and he is honest in how much lighter a person's color can get. My hair was lightened to a level that I wanted, and Joe gave me advice on how to maintain the salon's treatment before the next treatment. The salon's environment was very very busy when I came in, and I was happy to see all the customers that the salon could handle efficiently all at the same time. The hair stylists and colorist keep an eye out to prevent the bleach from over processing and I didn't feel like I was left stranded for a long time by the staff while my color was processing. Can't wait for my next visit back!

Anyway, I got a nice long shampoo wash, and then my barber Nicole cut my hair to the exact length I asked for and parted it a different way I wanted. She didn't really take heed to me afterwards; I didn't want my head to be blow-dried too much bc it's too hot and dry, and then I wanted my hair to be more pointed instead of straight across. She was like "na" both times, but I'll just trust her stylist expertise. Wash + cut + dry was only $18, plus tips. Very worth! Then 10/13/16: Wanted to get hair curled. Blow-dry styling is much cheaper than using a tool like an actual curling iron, but it was my birthday so I was willing. However, I ran out of time. Got my hair shampooed, then this male stylist blew dry my hair, and I had to leave. Shampooing and blow drying itself came to $12. Plus tip and tax was $15. I felt pretty ripped off; however, my previous experience was a 5-star one. This was a 3, so combined is 4.

I have been going here for over 7 years. I only have one barber I go to and it's yefim. He will take the time and has patience to really do the hairstyle you want if you tell him exactly how you want it. Don't get me wrong, all the other barbers are great. Joe has a huge clientele of locals and people from far who always come to see him. The other guys are always great to the new customers who come in, even when you're waiting to be cut there's always a story being told or something of interest going on. read more

If you looking to get a nice haircut this is the place to go to. Cuts by appointment or on short notice the wait is not long. Experienced barbers that can give you any cut you want. I go here for a couple of years now and they do it all from haircuts to designs whether you want lines or letters or any kind of shapes. The place has tvs for music and movies so you're never bored. It's very modern & classy. I can tell they focused on a lot of detail. Second, Mike gave our son the perfect and effortlessly haircut. He was super gentle with him . The clippers he used where very quiet and did not startle our son. The final touch, was a Certificate of his first haircut, that includes a lock of his hair on it!
