James, gave a brief description on how to operate the Segway and asked for a volunteer...luckily a brave teenager stepped up to the plate and within a minute he was riding around on his own. I felt the fear slowly subside as one by one the others in the group stepped on their Segways and were riding around. It was my turn to step on...I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest as the adrenaline was pumping through my system. James was very reassuring and said he wouldn't let go until I was ready. To my surprise, it was very stable, super easy to maneuver and within minutes the entire group (including myself) were pros and we were on our way. The tour was great, lots of information and yes a healthy dose of lame jokes (reminds me of the jungle cruise at Disneyland...I wouldn't change a thing). I'm definitely booking the La Jolla tour next. Totally worth trying and you might even conquer a fear you didn't realize you had.

I found We Love Tourists on Yelp and am so glad I chose to do the Segway tour with them! We had a blast! It was a lot more fun than we expected. We knew we'd look like dorks with helmets on and doing a tour, but really, it was a ton of fun trying to go as fast as we could on the Segways, learning about the city, and even interacting with passersby. We took the San Diego City Loop tour which covers about 12 miles in 2 hours. The tour starts downtown and we made our way up to Balboa Park through Little Italy to the Harbor and back into downtown. After about an hour, we took a break, which was much needed. Even though we're just standing on a Segway the whole time, they are constantly in motion, so you have to make sure that your weight is centered if you don't want to move forward or backward. Our feet hurt the most after the tour, so make sure to wear very comfy shoes with support (tennis shoes). It didn't take long to get used to being on a Segway; after our tour as we were walking to the car, we commented on how much it sucks to walk now compared to being on a Segway! Our tour guide, Bridgette, was awesome. She was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and easy going. Bridgette did a great job in teaching us and we all caught on to how to operate the Segway very quickly. She gave us some tips and even encouraged us to go as fast as we wanted (where it was safe). We did stop at some spots and she gave us info on the buildings and the city. Being a native San Diegan, I actually learned some new things! Since we were focused on team building, I think it was just the right amount of information and allowed us to really move and have fun on the Segways. She didn't have any problems with taking photos for us and also gave us some great happy hour spots to go to after our tour. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Bridgette! Booking the tour was very easy as well. I sent a text message (as their website suggests) and I got a text response very quickly. We corresponded via text initially, which is what I preferred, so it worked out great for me. I then spoke with Chris, tour booking manager, the week of our tour to confirm everything and received an email confirmation with the details. I got an awesome deal for our tour, just check their website for current deals or ask. I think if I ever do a tour of any city, going by Segway is the way to go! I would definitely recommend We Love Tourists for their Segway tours. You'll have a lot of fun!

We were picked up at our hotel, all 28 of us climbed into two trucks and drove to our first destination Ballast Brewery. They have an amazing selection of beers to taste. Our Beer Guides were awesome. They shared their vast beer knowledge at the next brewery Saint Archer. Great beer there too! The truck rides were fun as they were full of beer and water. We hooked up our own music to listen to 80s tunes. (I'm 50 remember? :p ) Finally we got to Duckfoot Brewery where my gluten free brother could have some beer as well! Everyone could join in on this tour! Something for everyone! (They had wine at Ballast too) The catered bbq food was SO good. Snarfed that down with some great beer. Hotshots Brewery Tours is amazing. They made my Birthday pretty epic. The family and friends will be talking about it for awhile! They all want to go again. The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. We all had a great time, and if you book them for your brewery tour, you'll have a great time as well!

This one is for Cameron!…read more On Friday September 30, my friends and I took this tour to celebrate my bachelorette. We have never been to the Valle before, and after hearing all the violence that occurred during the weekend of Baja Beach, we were a little nervous to cross, but it was amazing! Cameron was great, he kept our group engaged and made us all feel safe! We were a private tour and he picked us up from our Air b&b, we headed straight across the border and drove ocean side to our first stop... tacos! Cant go to mexico without stopping to enjoy some street tacos. Next stop, Finca La Carodilla. The winery was beautiful, however, we did not love the wine... we still had a great time enjoying the scenery. Next stop, Xalos. While this wasn't on the agenda, Cameron and Ryan created this detour option for us after Adobe winery was unable to host us. Here we enjoyed a fancy cocktail and some delicious churros. Again, beautiful scenery! Third stop, Monte Xanic. This was by far our favorite winery for the day. There are beautiful hills, and a small (possibly man made) lake on site... the wine was excellent, we bought four wine bottles. Lastly dinner, wow... The scenery, yet again! The tables were set up with a picnic cloth under string lights. We arrived for dinner around sunset, and we watched the beautiful sunset colors painted in the sky between the hills. Our food was delicious, and they did offer drinks at this final stop, which we did pay for separately. Lastly, our trip was over and we were headed home. Half our group had global entry, which was nice since they did not have to step out on the drive back from the border. My friends and I are all from Mexico, however, none of us had visited this region before. Its so nice to see how Mexico is becoming more known for their wine and aesthetics... Definitely bring cash, comfortable shoes and an empty stomach as there is plenty of food throughout this experience. Everything was great, and our group enjoyed Camerons company and the knowledge he shared with us on baja california and the up and coming Ruadeseo company.

And lastly we stopped at a small cute winery for more food to soak up the booze a bit. They fed us SO much, and then had wine and agua frescos for us to enjoy as well. We learned all the do's and don'ts, how to ride and guide the horse, and then we were off. The creek trail was a nice nature ride, super peaceful and relaxing. Our instructor made us feel comfortable every step of the way, and the horses behaved amazingly, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. As it was my first time, I was definitely a little sore afterward, but the experience was so great that I'll absolutely do it again. Would recommend!

I chose San Diego Walking Food Tour and Ferry to Coranado Island in celebration of my bestie birthday it's a 3 hour tour. Maria was our tour guide, she took good care of us and she was so down to earth which made our tour experience awesome. Maria is very informative about San Diego and the surrounding Islands. We also had Carlesha from Atlanta on our tour. The first stop on our food tour was The Fish Market. We had two appetizers ginger lime shrimp over a sweet and spicy cabage and we had spinach, crab meat dip. We enjoyed our margaritas. We took our first ferry over to Coronado Island. You will fall in love with Coranado Island. We dined at Spiros Mediterranean Cuisine we had grill salmon over Greek salad with buttery soft pita bread and rice. We also had a new appetizer from their menu shaved lamb on pita bread it was so flavorful and very filling. We took the ferry from Coranado Island back to Seaport Village. This was the walking part of our tour. The third restaurant was Crack Taco Shop I ordered the pork al pastor taco. It was an explosion in my mouth. It's as close to crack I will get. The last stop on our food tour was dessert of course at Seaport Fudge Factory. I tried their Vegan soft serve peach. It was the most refreshing dessert especially if your lactose tolerant and it comes in many flavors. The two young ladies were Autumn and Lauren. They were helpful with us deciding on our dessert. I'm warning you don't eat before this tour. Seaport Village has several good restaurants don't forget to check out Miss and Match Boutique. I can't wait to visit San Diego CA again. I visited San Diego for the first time at the end of March with my boyfriend. Since we just had a…read morelong weekend scheduled there, we wanted to maximize our time to sightsee as much as possible. I found the scenic tour through San Diego Ride & Tours on TripAdvisor and booked it for Friday, March 27, about a month in advance. The cost at the time was roughly $80pp. The meeting spot was about a 10-minute walk from our hotel, which was convenient. Our mini van was full and the group was a great mix of friendly folks from around the country. Jim was our tour guide, and my boyfriend was so pleased that he bought his book online when we got home. He was genuinely interesting to listen to and is definitely in the right field. The tour took us through Little Italy, past expensive homes on a hill, to La Jolla's Children Pool where we saw seals. We spent about 12 minutes there before heading to Mt. Soledad for some pretty views. We spent about 12 minutes there as well. From there, we traveled to Old Town San Diego for a quick visit - again less than 15 minutes, which permitted time to do some light shopping and that was all. We drove past allegedly the most haunted home in America as well as Heritage Park's Victorians. After that, we headed to Balboa Park. I think we had maybe 15 minutes there, which was just long enough to know I wanted to return on my own (which we did - multiple times). From there, we went to Coronado Island. I think we had 20 minutes tops there, which provided time to see the Hotel Del quickly as well as the beach and some famous folks' homes. We passed by the Gaslamp Quarter and some cool murals on the way back to the meeting spot. Traffic did impede our times at each spot. On TripAdvisor, it said the stops would be longer - La Jolla - 20 mins, Old Town and Balboa - 25 mins each, Coronado - 30 minutes. Since all of us on the tour mentioned not having set plans afterward, I wish we could've gotten slightly closer to those times as it did feel rushed to me. I think they should add a disclaimer on TripAdvisor explaining that times at each location will be cut if there's traffic. Another reason why I docked a star is that the tour was advertised as having waters and snacks included. One bottle of water was provided once the others on the tour asked about it. In terms of snacks, Jim plucked some fruit off a tree for us in Old Town. It was tasty but I guess I was expecting more in way of snacks. All in all, I had a really good time and was able to see more in a couple of hours than I would've been able to see on my own. For that, the tour was worth it.
