We also picked up last minute moving supplies, packing tape, etc. With a long drive, our plan was to pack up on Tuesday and move out Wednesday morning. Since the trailer we needed wasn't available here, we had to pick our equipment up at the pleasant Hill location. We needed to leave our trailer somewhere so we could load up the truck. Ted and his team at the North Side went out of their way to help us. They recommended that we leave our trailer there, and offered to help us get the car on the trailer when we were ready to leave the next day. Keep in mind we paid at the other location, so the North Side guys didn't "have" to help us. When we did pick up the trailer, their guys ran out to help and even cleaned our windows for us. Top class and friendly people here, thanks for eliminating a moving headache for us guys!

As a result the monthly rental fee is now hundreds of dollars higher, which happened in a span of about 2 years. They sent notices of thd rate change to my old address, despite my changing my address on my account; therefore I never saw the notices, and was blindsided by the gross jump in price each time. Also, I tried repeatedly to pay on time with a card that had more than enough funds in it, but the app wouldn't take the card. When I finally found another card to pay with, the payment ended up being late with an exorbitant late fee. The card was from the exact same bank, so the kind of card had nothing to do with it. The original rental fee may sound tempting, but be prepared for the rate to rocket in price fairly quickly.

I told her she should work for someone else. These are unethical businesspeople. Here's an idea: Be honest and tell customers up front. Don't lie to them by omission. OK, before anyone freaks out here with the 5-star review, I hired these guys to move about 600 sqft…read moreof oak flooring (~1,800 pounds) from my garage to the room above my garage. No packing, wrapping, boxing, or prep work required. Just the stairmaster-from-hell. And they had to be careful not to damage the walls going up a stairway with a U-turn landing while carrying 60 lb bundles of 7' flooring. The two gentlemen they sent were great, got to work right away, and moved the entire batch in exactly one hour. I could not be happier. My back REALLY could not be happier (I moved the first 600 sqft myself and am still paying the price). Zero complaints, good hard but careful work. I will give you a caution when you set this up. The first estimate you get will be nice and low. As you move through the system, times and costs will grow. Gently remind them of the original quote for # of hours, minimum travel time, materials, etc. that you received. I did and they honored their original estimate. They had added a materials charge which I had them remove (giving them the benefit of the doubt, it's a large-ish company and whoever was processing my final invoice probably didn't get read-on to what the job entailed). So, no vases to pack, no mattresses to move, hence I can't judge them on that. But they accommodated my schedule, came when they said they would, did a great job, and charged me the amount I was promised. I would absolutely use them again for this type of job. My back agrees.

We were contacted the week before our move and told that the arrival window for our movers was 8:30-10 AM and that we were the first move of the day. I told them we appreciated that because we had a 10-month-old and needed to be fairly settled by the time we slept in the new place on that first evening. On the day of our move, 10 AM came and went with no communication. I finally called at 10:30, and I was assured that we were still the first move, but they were having truck trouble. No apology. The new arrival time would be 12-1 PM. In the meantime, they sent me a text asking how the move was going. I said "it wasn't," so they called to offer us a "coupon" for the trouble. That second window came and went with no communication. I called at 2 PM and was told the movers were on their way. No apology for being almost six hours late, but just reassurance that the truck trouble was behind them. The movers finally arrived at 2:30 PM and immediately said: "Sorry, we had another move all the way up in Ingomar." No truck trouble, just a lie that we were "still the first move." The movers then took six hours to move our furniture (after an estimate of four hours).* They finally left the new house at 8 PM, over six hours past the latest original estimated end time and well-past our 10-month-old's bedtime. If you want honest and timely movers, don't choose All My Sons. *In all fairness to the movers themselves, they tried their best and worked very hard.
