We absolutely loved working with Jirayr and his team. Jirayr has been everything we hoped for in a financial advisor: 1. Trustworthy and transparent. 2. Approachable, kind and understanding. 3. Knowledgeable and responsible. 4. Able to think "out of the box" and accommodating for changing needs. 5. Always available. And much more. If you want to learn how to manage your assets wisely and need help with financial planning don't hesitate, Jirayr will not disappoint. read more

Jirayr and Ryan at Citrine Capital are absolute professionals that provide the highest level of service to their clients. I am a tax accountant and work with a number of their very satisfied clients, and would not hesitate to refer Citrine Capital to anyone looking for a qualified CFP (Certified Financial Planner). From the moment you meet either one of these gentlemen you get the immediate impression that they have their clients' best interests in hearts. They are highly responsive to their clients and professionals with whom they have mutual clients. In particular, their expertise with tech professionals and other individuals with equity positions places them at the top of their field. Will absolutely be sending referrals their way. read more

Jirayr is a fantastic financial advisor. He has been our advisor for over 4 years. We are a busy family with small children, and we had always put off doing our due diligence when it came to finances. We wanted someone knowledgable to set us on a solid financial path for the future. Jirayr has delivered in spades for us. First, and foremost, we trust Jirayr. We have a strong sense that he really cares about his customers' well being. We really like that he is active within non-profit community organizations and that he seems concerned about making a better world, and not just making money. Jirayr is extremely professional and proactive. He always does what he says he is going to do, when he says he is going to do it, and follows up with us without judgment when we are tardy in completing our homework (which is unfortunately quite often). He's never cancelled or been late for a meeting with us, and we never feel rushed meeting with him. Jirayr listens to our needs and goals. He gives us clear explanations of what he thinks we should do and takes the time to answer our questions. When we need to execute on a strategy, he does everything possible to simplify the process and reduce our workload. Jirayr follows the standard best practices for the industry, and has been transparent with all fees. On his Facebook page, he has cited articles from major sources on best practices you should look for in choosing a financial advisor, all of which he follows. He has taken the fiduciary oath (as required by his credentials). As a bonus, Citrine's online client portal (using RightCapital) is a great tool for keeping tabs on everything. We now have peace of mind that our finances are in order, now and for the future. If that interests you, then I highly recommend working with Jirayr. read more

I couldn't recommend Citrine Capital and Sefa more highly. We moved to the Bay Area a number of years ago and spent a lot of time looking for the right wealth advisor for our family. Sefa was head and shoulders above everyone else we spoke to and she has exceeded our expectations every step of the way. She really understands our family and what we're looking to achieve, she has offered us incredible advice on so many topics, she's incredibly responsive and makes the whole thing feel easy. We're so happy we made the choice and we'll be working with Sefa for many years to come. read more

Top 3 words that come to mind when I think of my experience with Jirayr: trustworthy, professional, innovative. I started working with Jirayr over seven years ago, and as someone with a background in the industry myself, I can say I'm totally comfortable mapping out my financial life with his guidance. Investing isn't some mysterious game. There are no secrets that only a select few advisors hold. Sure they have different strategies and choose their own products but it breaks down to this; as layman we simply do not have the training nor the time to create a proper plan. The main reasons people don't plan are 1. Inexperience 2. Don't have time 3. Can't be bothered to plan (or some combination thereof). Sure you can invest on your own, but why? Would you give yourself a root canal or set your own broken bone? The tools are all accessible to you, but most likely you'd go to a professional to help you out. It's the same with investing; unless researching markets, annuities, insurance policies and estate law is literally your job (like Jirayr) then you're safer off going on to a professional. It's as simple as opening up a conversation with an advisor and seeing what's out there. I understand why people get anxiety when thinking about working with an advisor. It's a big step. I'ma ask you to put your worries on a shelf for a moment and shoot Jirayr an email, even if you don't know what you're looking for. Just say "Hey, I think I may need someone to look at what I've done with my finances so far. Can we set up a time to talk?" There- I've even given you a template. I've met many financial advisors in my lifetime and I can give a strong recommendation to work with Jirayr. This is how he operates: first he makes sure he has a solid understanding of your situation and of the things that matter to you (vacations, new roof, college etc). Then he works with you to create a plan and adjusts as needed. He will contact you when it's time for a review, and is gracious enough to not scold you when you go too long between visits (yes I'm guilty). Jirayr even takes it a step further than just being a Financial Advisor. He's a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) . It's a damn impressive certification and the fact that's he's doesn't turn away clients for not meeting an asset threshold is even more impressive. We live in an age where we need to create our own financial security. Gone are the days of pensions and relying on social security pay outs. We need guidance from a professional. We need advice. Good thing for financial advisors! Go and talk to Jirayr; if anything, you'll either walk away with the satisfaction that you're doing everything right OR a few new ideas to get you on track. read more

I wish we started working with Sefa sooner! We feel so fortunate to have Sefa as a wealth advisor for our family. From the beginning, Sefa showed that she understood our layered financial picture, our family's particular needs and she set the tone that she'd work with us in a knowledgeable, pleasant, clear and open manner. A straight shooter, we trust Sefa as she's shown herself to be realistic yet positive and confident. After setting our plan, she has been unflappable and responsive as financial matters and shifts have come up, while she continues to move us toward our long-term goals. Sefa's focus and professionalism are admirable; her knowledge and thoughtfulness were needed and are much appreciated! read more

I have MORE MONEY NOW than I ever did BEFORE I met Jirayr @ Citrine. What else can I say? It was incredibly hard for me to save and whenever I tried to invest on my own, I'd always bet wrong. Seriously. I was the poster child for what NOT to do with money. I'm really glad I met Jirayr and let him take over where I so desperately needed major investment intervention. It was definitely the best financial decision I've ever made. I promise, if you stay with this guy long enough, you will have more money than you do right now. Simple as that. ...or you can go invest in Twitter and cross your fingers like I used to do ;) read more

I started working with Jirayr 2 months ago and recently signed up with him. What attracted me their firm, is that they focus on Young professionals (25-35 years old), which was really helpful, as most big firms require $150k-$250k minimum investment, which young professionals may not have. He took out the time to answer multiple queries in a well organized manner and inspired confidence in me that I could trust him with my financials. Also, I always assumed that financial advise was only about investing. But he provided much more value than that, as he helped my planning my financials as well as informed me about insurances and why one must have them. I could have gone with a Roboadvisor at a lower fee, but then I wouldnt have the comfort of being able to talk to someone who answers all my questions until I am comfortable with the plan. Thanks Jirayr, I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship! read more

I had some apprehension about meeting with a financial planner for the first time. Jirayr made me feel very comfortable and at ease and took the time to get to know me as a person not just a portfolio. He is very educated in his field and his expertise made me feel confident in trusting him with my financial future. He was professional, courteous and really took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns then created a financial plan tailored to my specific needs and goals. I had a great experience with Jirayr and I left knowing that my financial future is secure and that he will continue to be there to help me make sound investment and financial decisions in the future. read more

We feel SO LUCKY to have found Jirayr and Ryan at Citrine Capital through Yelp! We are in our late 30's and have been married for a few years. We decided it was a good time to get a financial plan together, and although we were both saving on our own/through company 401Ks, we weren't entirely sure that we were on the right track for our future goals. Let me just say - we found the whole experience entirely worth it, for a few reasons. 1) Over the course of a few meetings, Jirayr and Ryan have a system to take you from wherever you are at and get you on the path to where you want to be. They are organized, professional, and patient - I had a million questions and I never once felt brushed off or rushed. Also, we are not rich by any stretch but we were never made to feel like we weren't important to them. 2) They completely hold your hand and explain everything to you along the way. They understand that talking about finances can be uncomfortable and potentially embarassing, but they never push you into doing something you don't want. They will answer every question, help you in any way, and they will make suggestions for things you probably haven't even thought of. 3) We left feeling like we have two awesome financial advisors in our back pocket who we can go to at any time. When you're trusting your hard earned money to other people, knowing you can reach out to them at any time without being considered a nuisance is such a comfort. Overall, we just really LIKE Jirayr and Ryan. They're nice. They're smart. We feel they are trustworthy. And for all the work they do, they are completely worth their fee! read more

I've known Jirayr for a decade now, we were co-workers in the financial services industry for about 5 years. He is honest, ethical, hard-working, and cares for his client's well-being. Over the years that I have trusted him and his team with my financial needs, I have reduced my debt by half, increased my IRA savings, and I bought a condo! 3 years ago I became a homeowner and I changed careers. I had so many new financial needs from reinvesting 401k funds, rolling over IRA's, reducing credit debt, to making down payments, and Jirayr was always a phone call away if I had any questions. read more

Jirayr has been handling my wife and I's finances for a little over a year and we couldn't be happier with his services. He will explain everything to you so you can understand in terms you will understand. My wife and I also have crazy hectic schedules and Jirayr always meets with us on our terms. I highly recommend Jirayr and Citrine Capital to anyone and everyone I know! Thank you Jirayr read more

I have been working with Jirayr from Citrine for about 4 years now. Jirayr has come into our company multiple times and helped out with the 401K plans. He explained everything to the employees. It has been a pleasure working with Jirayr over the years and our portfolio is growing because of it. read more

Where do I begin? Ryan has helped me in so many different ways. I feel like he has really listened to my needs and understands my goals. Since then our family has grown and Ryan also got us set up with life insurance, consolidated our 401k's, set up a college fund for the little one and is currently advising us on how build towards buying our first home. My wife and I met with Ryan about two years ago when we had finally decided it was time to take our finances more seriously. To my pleasant surprise, taking this topic more seriously did not mean making it of source of pain and confusion. I have worked with Jirayr and Citrine for a while now, and I can honestly say I feel so much more peace of mind now than ever before. I've had other financial advisers, but I didn't get much out of it. Previously, they were disconnected and didn't put things in terms I understood. The good thing about Jirayr and Citrine is he will explain as little or as much as you want, and actually educates you along the way so you feel empowered. I learned so much about the whole process and products out there that I never even knew existed. Better yet, he found ways for me to cut costs in ways I didn't even think I could, or ways I didn't think mattered. By saving a few bucks here and there, it has definitely added up and I feel confident in his investment advice as well. Financial planners are for everyone, not just the rich. I should have written this review sooner and owe it to these guys to share my stellar experience with others. I came to Citrine Capital about a year and a half ago when I started to suspect that my current advisor wasn't working in my best interest. After reading many positive reviews on Yelp (which were all 5-stars), I decided to make an appointment with Citrine Capital and I'm so glad I did. Jirayr and Ryan were willing to look at my investment portfolio, provide their honest opinion, and recommend an alternative portfolio that aligned with my financial goals - all at no cost. They never made me feel pressured to work with them and were genuinely interested in understanding my financial situation and priorities. Needless to say, I handed my portfolio over to Citrine Capital and never looked back or second guessed my decision. Like other reviewers, I feel so fortunate to be able to work with Jirayr and Ryan. They are excellent at following up with you, sending reminders, and helping with paperwork (!!) They are generous, competent and trustworthy professionals. I would highly recommend working with Citrine Capital and am grateful for the peace of mind their services provide. Thank you Jirayr and Ryan!!! read more

I'm using my wife's account to write this review. I've known Ryan for a few years now. First, as a hockey team mate, and now as a financial advisor. He has been great at both. My wife and I have gone through a lot of changes over the past 3 years. We got married, bought a house, got some new cars, started new jobs, and had a baby. Ryan went over both of our work benefits, our finances, retirement plans, and future planning with a fine tooth comb. I ended up consolidating my multiple 401ks and IRAs into a single account to easily manage it and also increase my current 401k contribution to help secure my retirement. With the baby, we talked about different options for college savings. I ended up having him set us up with a 529 for my daughter's future tuition. Ryan is quick with his replies and has been able to meet with me when needed. He helped explain the tax implications with RSAs and stock options and even did some real estate research on a home we might get in Greece. I could not be happier to have Ryan as my financial advisor. read more

I can't say enough good things about Ryan. After spending many years feeling guilty about not taking my finances seriously (I come from a family of financial advisors for goodness sakes!), Ryan made the experience stress-free for me. I felt from the start that he was on my side. And was willing to take it at my pace. He is patient and never makes me feel stupid for sometimes not knowing the most basic things about money. I highly recommend Ryan professionally. AND he's fun to hang out with too! Genuinely nice guy. Thanks Ryan! read more

I am writing to express my highest regard for Mr. Jirayr Kembikian. His professionalism, expertise and life-changing support are unmatched. Upon first meeting with Mr. Kembikian, I was initially struck with his warmth, understanding and compassionate manner of connecting. He not only allowed time for me to share my hopes and goals, but also my fears and concerns about my own financial circumstances and about working with a financial advisor. Mr. Kembikian introduced me to his detailed, data-driven process in a clear, supportive and knowledgeable manner. His ability to pair the depth and breadth of his knowledge with the soft skills of human connection around an essential yet vulnerable area of life is unrivaled. In my own career, as a psychologist, I deeply value the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with people. Mr. Kembikian not only demonstrated a consummate ability to connect in these essential ways, but he uses humor to bring lightness and fun to a process that could otherwise be overwhelming and dry to someone with little investment experience or prior interest. He introduced me to concepts and techniques for maximizing my investments and financial potential by stabilizing my future to prepare me to live life fully. Mr. Kembikian's intention is to forge a lifelong relationship with his clients. Over the course of decades, he will help me to make the decisions necessary for my partner and me to live into old age with comfort and security, while increasing our capacity to reach our short and medium term goals. For the first time, I feel that I have an advisor for life, with whom I can consult and ask questions. The comfort this provides me is tremendous given that, before meeting Mr. Kembikian, I felt uncomfortable asking such questions for fear of sounding uninformed or ignorant. Since beginning this process with Mr. Kembikian, I have not only referred my clients and colleagues to him, but whole-heartedly referred to him my closest friends and family members. Without reservation, I will rely on Mr. Kembikian during times of career, family and financial transition and will turn to him for consult when facing minor and major life decisions. I look forward to continuing to learn and benefit from Mr. Kembikian's wisdom, expertise and guidance for years to come. read more
