I was told that it takes 2 weeks to transfer and it's "not them it's my employer". We'll see about that. I went in yesterday to cash in some coins. The coin machine was not working, so I went back today. There was an elderly man trying to use the machine. He clearly did NOT know what he was doing. One of the tellers was standing outside taking up an entire parking spot and looked at me, did nothing. I would have been in there before this man had she gotten out of the way. My coins took 1 minute after waiting for 25 minutes to use the machine. Instead of helping the man, the tellers are just standing there without anyone in line talking. The girl with the black and white hair was extremely rude to me. I asked her why she can't help this man and she just stared at me. She then came up with "he was here first". I was there first but couldn't park because the teller was in the way with the man's door wide open. She was helping him bring in jars and jars of pennies. Then she leaves him to shake pennies out of bottles for 25 minutes. He had almost jammed the machine. Then he said he had to go get more coins out of his car. What the tellers could have done was just cashed out what he had so far and added the slips together. "No, that's not an option". Neither is hand counting change, I get "we can't do that either". They also could have helped this man, but chose not to. I am disabled and was in excruciating pain waiting for this 25 minute transaction to be over. As soon as I am able to see my direct deposit, I am done with this bank. Branches are closing, they do not have cash back checking anymore. Instead they punish you if you don't have $500.00 in your account each month and charge a $5.00 "maintenance fee". Their hours are awful. Closed on Saturdays. Another time I went in there and closed an overdraft protection loan because I paid it off, they didn't close it. I see my account still there with fees on it which went to my son's account. If you are considering doing ANY business with this bank, you should definitely think twice. It is a horrible bank with horrible customer service.

I came to this credit union from a friends recommendation after not being able to get a credit card from TD Banknorth about 5 years ago. I was under 18 but had been making deposits with them daily and they insisted I have a co-signer due to my lack of credit history. Instead of working with me they allowed me to close 6 accounts and take out all my money. I came to Northeast Credit Union with no accounts there, no credit history and being 17 years old and asked for a credit card which they issued me. I have been there ever since and no matter what branch I go to everyone if very friendly and I have never had a complaint about anything whatsoever. This particular branch I go to most often since it is close to my work. I had a problem with some credit card fraud a while ago and they helped me resolve it very quickly and made me feel so much more calm and secure and that everything would be okay. Peace of mind is great in a situation where you feel so helpless. ATM is awesome because it takes cash so you don't have to fill out any envelopes and the money is available immediately. Plus this one almost never breaks down or has any problems. I think only once in the past 7 years I have been going here has the ATM been out of service. Got to love that reliability. Free checking with no minimum balance, minimum balance on my savings account is only $5 and online banking which I use all the time and saves me about $300 a year in stamps. This is as good as it gets.

They're just the worst kind of customer service people and I feel that they're just not understanding what people say to them they want you to understand what they say to you and that's not a good relationship with a bank.
