Ultimately, I chose another day in an attempt to gracefully skirt that odd request. A date and time was selected when the child would be in school. Day of service, the owner, Adolfo, left my gate wide open and my dogs got out...on our FIRST (and consequently, last) service day. I found my dogs way down the road. I'm relieved I just happened to be home and caught it within 15 min. Seriously, like 7 out 10 people have dogs!! Not securing a customers property is significantly negligent, an absolute liability nightmare. Adolfo was combative and rude when I confronted him about it. I was absolutely floored that he wasn't apologetic, AT ALL. Quite the contrary. His wife, Shannon, who answers the calls, does billing and customer service, called me & apologized on his behalf and said, "Sometimes he's just a monster!" Uhhh? Ok? I just invited a "monster" onto my property? Thanks for the heads up, Shannon. There are two, single, professional women who reside here. To be told (by the OWNERS WIFE) that the service we hired was operated by a "monster" was very unsettling. If you have dogs, a pool, a gate or are female, I would urge you to go with a different service. It's just not worth it. Obviously, my personal experience and take takeaway from this situation left me feeling like a crisis was narrowly averted.

Come fall he missed the window to aerate and seed our grass. He apologized and offered to terminate contract but if we stayed he'd do seeding and aerating in the spring at cost. The cost of 2 yards of dirt and 10 pounds of seeds was only $200 and to rent an aerator is $75 per four hours so the math didn't add up??? We've paid him over 3k ($300 monthly) for things I could have been doing! Blowing leaves with a blower is not a $300 monthly job! We have .26 acres of land- very small yard and a few fruit trees. I hate to bash on small business people, but he really screwed us . I've asked him for half our money back which I think is more than fair and he's completely ignoring us. My next step is small claims court unfortunately . It's too bad our business relationship had to end the way it has.
