Aside from the street work that always seems to be going on around here, I'm a fan. I come to this particular Citibank whenever I'm in the area but would prefer this location over others easily. My transactions are always prompt, accurate, and I'm on my way to do life in no time. I may not always get the warmest greetings but i'd pick fast service over useless chit chat- but maybe that's just me. 'm not sure about other banks around the area, but for Citibank, in order to speak to a banker you would need to schedule an appointment beforehand. We didn't know that, so we scheduled an appointment for next day because my mother wanted to open a checking and I wanted to open a credit card. We came in on Monday and made an appointment for Tuesday using a sign in clip board. The earliest time of the day to have an appointment was at 10am. Since there were two of us, we signed up for 10am and 10:30an. Our appointment was 10am but we were asked to wait in the lobby, and after 10 minutes Carlos greeted us and was our banker for today. In one hour, Carlos was able to open a credit card for myself and a checking account for my mother. If you open a credit card, ask for CITI Double Cash Card with Zero APR for 18 months. This is great cause you're able to have a credit card with no interest. Also, once your receive your card you can do a balance transfer if you have any current credit cards. Carlos mentioned that it will take about 7-10 business days for the car to arrive (I hope it comes sooner). PRO TIP: if someone refers you to open a checking they are eligible to get $100. If you're planning on opening a checking, have a friend refer you! It was easy to locate the referral by inputting their phone number. My partner referred my mom and will be receiving $100 within 90 days. read more

Citibank phone support is the worst thing I've ever had to deal with. Call. On hold. Get someone after an hour that doesn't speak English in a recognizable form. Get put on hold. Get hung up on. Chat. Nobody answers. Why call it customer service? There's no regard for the customer at all. CItibank is my least favorite bank and they're BACK! how? took over as costco's credit card of choice, Visa. unable to establish online account, can't log in. 2 months counting, making sure my payment gets credited. so walking payment in. this locale is old. small parking lot, small building. 2-3 tellers working at one time. most patrons hispanic.various issues occur hindering quick in and out service. -noticed a client unable to use machines outside, pin issue. (neither can i, btw). -not a simple deposit or withdrawl transaction. -associates always courteous, occurrences beyond their control. read more

CitiBank This place is a pretty good bank. The staff are extremely friendly and are very helpful. Their area isn't the most attractive, but after you go inside and meet the staff: tellers and all, you'll see that looks aren't everything. The parking is a little confusing sometimes but I do like that it's near the freeway/main streets. A manager lied about not able to deposit a foreign check so he didn't have to do all the paperwork. After I questioned him and Citibank by saying loudly "so you are telling me Citibank as a banking institution cannot process some foreign checks? I have done this before at another Citibank branch", then he finally said they are able to and asked a teller to help me with it. But he wouldn't stop walking back and forth behind her and told her oh I misunderstood blah blah blah. Went to open an account. A joint account the other person had just moved like a week before and the guy was asking for proof. Like wtf do you need pictures of the moving truck?? Then he went on to talk about an amazing credit card when I finally said ok sure he was like hmmm you don't have your student id with you well sorry we can't do it. This guy was Nicholas or something like that. Totally didn't like it. But only company that's free with sending money to Mexico so had to put up with it. read more

I hate to even check one star here. These employees are NOT TRAINED IN LEGAL MATTERS and if you have a problem the Citibank system puts up ONE ROADBLOCK AFTER ANOTHER instead of helping you through it. As trustee for my 95-yr. old aunt I needed access to her checking act. I had her will, her legal power of attorney, and her resignation as trustee of her financial accounts. They insisted I bring my aunt to the branching person--a day-long trip for me since she lives 70 miles away. I did it. They called me a week later to tell me that they had her sign the wrong papers. After this they agreed to have me bring the legal documents to the Alum Rock Branch and let me sign up for a second act. in her name with me as trustee. Several days later I was called on a Thursday around the dinner hour and told that the papers were filled out incorrectly and if I didn't come in before closing on the next day they could never set up this second account. I did it. In the mean time, my aunt's old account has been depleted by stolen checks by a substitute care giver. I need the checks to present to the care agency and to report the theft. However Citibank will not produce those checks for me because they need my aunts permission. The teller said it was obvious that my aunt did not cash the checks but that she could not give me copes. The bank representative would not call my aunt to get her permission. "Amanda" from somewhere else would have to make the call. I asked for Amanda's phone number so that we might inform her immediately, but was told that they could not give it to me. They promised that Amanda would call within the hour, since it was late Friday afternoon. She did not. I cannot report the theft without access to the canceled checks. I do not know what to do next. If you have any thought that you might have a legal situation AVOID THIS banking institution at ALL COSTS! read more

This location is horrible! Put it like this, the only thing good about this bank is that they keep it clean and is tinted inside' I recommend to go to another bank if you're trying to ask a personal banker a question! Their wait felt like an hour and 30 mins! You're not guaranteed to get your answers completely solved and you'll leave the bank with that feeling like "whatever!" Quimby branch. Rude and disrespectful platform employees. No one acknowledged me for 20 minutes. The manager was rude also he did not acknowledge me and I had to stop him when he was walking out of his glass office and told him I needed help. He said everyone was busy including himself. I saw NO CUSTOMERS except for one employee who had a customer. The others were all doing paperwork.I am so mad right now I can't write. All these employees on the platform need to be trained in Customer Service or fired. The tellers are fine. I plan on closing my other accounts with them as they mature and transfer to Wells Fargo. He also gave us superb customer service and was able to quickly solve our problem with in the most care.
