I used to love this place, but it has gone downhill. Especially one teller who just takes…read moreridiculously long at everything, from deposits to exchanging coins to cashing a check. Once she even told me she couldn't cash a check because both mine and my husband's name was on the check so she needed two signatures. I've never had that before. I just deposited at the ATM and took out the money anyway. So annoying. I don't know if they are understaffed or everyone is only allowed to do one thing, but it always takes too long to get things done at this branch. I am so tired of trying to go in there. If you say I should always go to the ATM, that would be fine, but the one outside breaks down pretty routinely. It runs out of money to give out, or is unable to accept deposits. Also, apparently there's only one person who covers a few different branches who can talk to you about investing your money. It took a few days for him to get back to me and then even longer to make an appointment, which is only for like 2 hours on every third Tuesday of the month on a full moon or something. I exaggerate, but you get the point. I was unable to make an appointment time because my work schedule did not coincide with this guy's schedule. And of course no one else can help. It's just not very well run. I'm really about to change banks or at least open a second bank account somewhere else just so I can cash a check or go to an ATM without problems.

Horrible bank! I have never dealt with such a crappy bank. I could go on forever with some of…read moretheir issues, but I will highlight my last experience. I got a new computer and it took me three tries to access my Chase online account for security measures. Then I tried to input an external account to transfer some money to. That took 10 days and three attempts. They finally got it worked out and I verified the account, then I made a small transfer. They denied the transfer shortly thereafter and locked me out of my account. I called the security number given on the lock out notice and was told I needed a debit card number to talk to somebody. It's a business account and I don't use a debit card for it. I finally got through upon the forth attempt. On this occasion, I was asked 3 security questions, including one that involved companies I was involved with in the past. I had never heard of any of these companies yet they tell me I failed the verification. ‍. On the fifth try of calling them, I spoke to a helpful person that took 25 minutes to resolve the issue. He told me this happens all the time and their security system is very "tight" and doesn't let people transfer out of the bank on most occasions. This sounds highly suspicious and more like a play where they want to keep your money and not a security concern. If Chase has trouble verifying another bank at their size, why do all these smaller banks not have any issues doing it???. This afternoon I am driving over to the Chase branch and will probably spend another hour and a half trying to close my account, but I am out of this insanity. As a point of reference, I have worked for Wells Fargo, Bank Of America, and two local banks. I have never seen Issues such as what Chase has. They take forever to do anything for you, their Customer Service people don't really care, and their system, highly technical, has major issues. Stay away from these people!

I've had Wells Fargo for 25 years. There were two Wells Fargo locations close to me but I used to…read morego do my banking twice a week. They closed both locations and now I'm forced to travel to another location. The long wait times for the drive-thru and inside is absolutely insane. Waiting in the Drive-Thru for 35 minutes with one car in front of me is ridiculous. Time to look for a new bank. I've had enough. They don't care about their customers. They care about their bottom line. I'm done

Besides the ridiculous long waits and slow service in the teller line that is the norm, I had this this situation happen today...I went in to get cash for holiday gifts for all our service folks. I asked for the holiday card/envelopes to put the $$$ into...which we have done at this location for past 4 years. The teller handed me several and went to go look for more. After he spoke to another teller he asked for the holiday envelopes back. He then (along with other teller) tells me "we don't give these out". "In fact, "we stopped doing that years ago!" This is total BS...we've gotten them for last 4 years! It's not just the envelopes that frustrates me so much as it is more that EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in there the people in line are moaning, groaning and complaining about the service and EVERY TIME I go there I have some kind of issue. The time before this I had this situation...after waiting in line 45 minutes (NO EXAGGERATION) my turn at the teller finally arrived...I walked up and was told..."I'm on break!" No smile...no compassion...no "sorry"..."TS, I'm on break"!!! I get people going on break, I could understand a policy decision to stop giving out holiday envelopes (although every other bank does) but what I don't get is the complete lack of customer service and follow up. I left the bank today. Went to lunch and decided to go back and visit with the bank manager Danielle. She was out to lunch when I got there. Spoke to a really friendly banker who listened to my story. He was appalled. Took my contact information and promised to pass on it the manager. No call back. I'm sure they are busy with other things.

I really want to love this bank as it's a community bank and not a big bank that has lost touch…read morewith customer needs and one feels like just a number. However the downtown west Palm beach branch is really challenged with their customer service. They do not have an ATM so you have to either use the desk Teller or the drive thru one so I have made many transactions inside the back. Its fine as long as you need simple transactions. But, please be aware if need to speak to a Banker!! They are generally clueless, disorganized and frankly lazy. I found one person there that was smart and responsive but she's not there regularly so I am just going to find a new branch or keep using the 1-800 number - The west Palm branch is not good.

A staff member told me " we will eat up the costs if you have to use another ATM" Who does that? Nobody! Not like I would go that route anyway unless I was hard pressed for cash, but it blew me away. No direct deposit necessary. No minimum balance. Basically the only way you are going to get hit up with surcharges is if you are delinquent with your account. There is no bank that I know of that can offer the total package that First Bank of the Palm Beaches can. My only complaint is I have to wait 90 days to utilize electronic check deposits (not sure why) and I was unable to sign up for their online banking right away. It can take up to 48 hours to be approved. If you can deal with those 2 small nuances. Give them a try. I am not a fan of banks in general, but this one feels like home
