I am out of state customer. I have an account I inherited as IN TRUST FOR. The branch the account was opened is in Brooklyn New York. I called the branch and no one will give their last names. No one will identify who the manager is. No one there knows how to properly identify a customer who is not physically in front of them. When given the proper information over the phone, such as account numbers and SS numbers, no one can give any information as to the status of anything... poor excuse for customer service.
So I called customer service 1-800 number... Same thing. No one is available to speak with, and supervisors there are like ghosts who speak through the front line people.
I highly recommend avoiding this bank as they are still using 19th century technology. Once they have your money, good luck trying to get it back.
I have also had NO PROBLEMS under the same conditions with other banks such as CHASE and CAPITAL ONE.
