All items are heavily discounted. I told my wife I needed a new pair of Sketchers. I don't know what came over her but she ended up buying me five pairs! Pardon the pun but I'm used to the shoe being on the other foot! As a husband and father I'm used to following them around various retail stores. Usually pushing the shopping cart for them. They would purchase several hundred dollars worth of things. I used to panic until I realized that in two days or so they would change their minds and return half of the stuff! As a guy, I don't shop for myself like that. I know what I need and I get it and leave! I told her I only wanted one pair. She's said all of my shoes were 50% off today only and some were 70% off regular retail. She said I need to replace all of my old shoes. I reminded her that unlike my daughter and herself; I don't change my mind and return anything ever! Hamrick's is a fully loaded clothing store for the entire family. The prices are incredible at times and I recommend them highly!

On my last prior visit here I came to purchase three dress shirts and a black tie. They had absolutely nothing in my size or anything close at all! The apparel that I intended to purchase would have cost me a bundle! Due to my poor diligence; I did put all of this off until the last minute. I'm accepting a major part of the blame! This stuff was necessary for me to look appropriate for my daughters graduation just three days away! I've already finished and posted a review about that. Anyways; I was forced to quickly find another men's store that carried what I needed. I did get very lucky at Suit City in Spartanburg,S.C. I already posted a review about them! Today my daughter planned to pop in our local Belk's Store and pop right back out. Didn't Work so well for her! The customers waiting to be checked out reached halfway to the middle of the place. I did post pictures! I'm sure that somehow having a Belk's in a small town like ours is to benefit us local citizens! But I assure you that our Belk's would have much better sales numbers if they would just properly stock the dang place! The customers are here and ready to spend good money if they can.Not only from my own personal experiences here but that of the many customers that leave here disappointed and with no merchandise to carry or cart to their cars agree with me. The management philosophy here reminds me of Walmarts! They don't care if you buy something or not! The next Belk store is twenty two miles away and some people on fixed incomes or due to health issues cannot make that trip! I recommend this place as a good place to get exercise as it's a large building. But for shopping satisfaction; avoid this dud and get a ride with someone to the fantastic, well stocked Belk's at Westgate Mall in Spartanburg, S.C. Yes; it's a twenty two mile trip-one way!

Even at 8pm, it was a little busy. After a quick stop in the Walmart, I locked up the Sprinter van and tried to get a night's sleep. This Walmart tolerates overnight RV parking and that's what I did as my van is converted. However, it was not to be. After two "burnouts" in the parking lot, I opted to move along to somewhere else. The shopping center is anchored by the Walmart. There is also a Dollar Tree, liquor store, mobile phone store, pizza, shoes, nail salon and a bunch more. I stopped by here today just to observe the traffic and to see how much business these individual stores were doing. Business is brisk to say the least! What a big disappointment at Big Lots today! The cat food shelves here are empty. I came here today…read moremainly to purchase one item. I'm out of a common brand of bagged cat food.It's Purina Cat Chow Gentle. It's the only dry cat food that she can tolerate. Tiger ( my cat ) wandered up to my house about five years ago. The vet said she was about two weeks old. Tiger was severely dehydrated; malnourished, and had three kinds of worms! Our vet did not know if she would survive! She promised me that she would do everything in her power to help this baby but it's going to depend on her will to live! She did recover and grow into beautiful cat! The problem is that all of her early distress caused her to have a sensitive stomach! She can only tolerate the Purina. The shelf space for cat food was so wiped out! I also wanted to buy some cat litter. The reasonably priced stuff was gone! All that was left was the super expensive stuff so I passed! Big Lots; pet owners depend on you to supply us with reasonable priced needs that we can afford! As you look at my check-in picture, you'll notice some name brand retail stores. Amazingly, I've never had a traffic issue here. The parking lot is gigantic and usually shoppers are few in number as they were today.

Now it's impossible for me to find anything for that amount of money! Five Below has stuck to their advertising thus far. There's a wide assortment of merchandise that's actually quite interesting.
