When my husband went back to pick up his suit after alterations, he remembered him and details about our lives, which tells me that he is a good listener and is sincere. I also like the similar clothing line of a nearby store, but upon entering that store though dressed in that brand and coming from a professional job, I was given a once over and cold and curt "Hi". I was also soon personally greeted and subsequently chatted with an employee about a current sale, the sizing configuration, etc. I was impressed with the arrangement and displays of the merchandise, the availability of a range of sizes, and the overall atmosphere. My friend had measurements sent in from out of town and they had estimated his coat size where've he got measured. Customer service... 5s!!! Not only that, but their selection of outfits was better than ALL of the other local places we browsed at. We also found out they have a full service dry cleaners at this location. So my wife had her gown cleaned 3 days before the ball! I just cannot say how lucky we were to happen upon this business. He suggested a couple flashier choices (Lucious Lyons from the "Empire" collection) but I was firm on what I had in mind. Yes, at times customers are greater in number than cashiers...that is a universal problem. However I have found the staff friendlier than most stores. Courtesy on the part of a customer can make a big difference in a store clerks reaction, even when they just had a bad experience with previous customers. As far as the available merchandise, it's one of the best Marshalls stores I've visited. I no longer live in Spartanburg, so I'm shopping other locations. Several have far less than than this location. So when I visit Spartanburg and have time, I will make a stop at Marshall's. It is the thrill of the hunt, and I'm not often disappointed.
